my wife and i got our mortgage in principle today!!!

im keeping it low-key irl because house buying in england is more of a torture circle than a monetary transaction so it may be sometime before actual house buying but still, it’s exciting!!!

and i am sort of proud that we were able to save up for the deposit (in an expensive city by northern standards) without inheritance, or having money gifted, or living at home for free, or having any money come from any source other than us earning it

which like no shade if you did have help like life is hard take the easiest route you can but our route wasn’t that easy so i am proud

you’re all invited to the house warming, of course

but we’ve got four more viewings this week and tomorrow we’re viewing our fave house on the list

my kitties got fixed this week and they’re doing fine, but they both had to have more complicated procedures (which were ££££££) and means they’ve got to be kept apart for a little while so me and my wife are living in different parts of the flat looking after the saddest little kitties in the world
