Well for me it's that I kept seeing tumblr posts EVERYWHERE
Pinterest,Instagram,youtube,tiktoks,everywhere and it seemed to be like,my humor so I was like eh that's funny :D
I started watching Coleydoesthing and you can pretty much guess what happened
I saw her scroll tumblr and all and was like "woah even for recent stuff there seems to be a lot of people left on there" (yeah I thought the site was dead with the amount of reposters on other sites)
I already knew Tumblr is a BIG part of internet culture and its link to ao3 so that already intrigued me a bit
And I saw that the author of one of my favorite fics EVER is or at least was on here so major selling point as well
So one day,after feeling myself unsatisfied by the lack of Devilman and Redakai content I could find anywhere I decided "fuck it"
And that's how I got on this hellsite :D
Well there still isn't much content for those here but still more than anywhere else so I'm happy
And it's really practical for other fandoms in general as well and I was getting tired of the toxicity of other platforms
Like yeah I know there's still toxicity here but it's the most judgement-free site I know and it's liberating
People give me whiplash every time I go somewhere else
I see some discourse about something and think "this most likely wouldn't be a problem on Tumblr"
And it's so easy to make friends here
