I think people are so needlessly rude to each other on this site. Everyone wants the runaway popular post where you totally owned someone and it makes a lot of y'all look stupid at best and like bigots at worst.

“My emperor is fine” your emperor has commissioned over 8000 life-sized terracotta soldiers and buried them facing east, in the direction of his recently conquered enemies in the hopes that they will protect him in the afterlife.

I just saw the world's freshest baby in Panera bread. Like that thing was JUST out of the oven. I've heard of being wet behind the ears but this baby was wet behind the everything. It was still damp.
DONT use glasses, youll become dependent on them to see!!!! #WARONDRUGS #OVERPRESCRIPTION #CORRECTIVELENSADDICTION
I know this is a humorous exaggeration designed to show how silly it is to deny medication and mobility/quality of life aids to disabled people by applying the argument to something silly in a way that nobody would ever do but... unfortunately I have heard people say this. I've heard people suggest that people with minor sight problems shouldn't get glasses, and people needing to move to a stronger prescription should do it and should stay on as light a prescription as they can use and still function, because the glasses will "weaken their eyes" and make their eyesight worse (which is bullshit). People will pull this ableist bullshit on glasses wearers, too.
unfortunately no matter how much you try to parody ableism, some completely genuine asshole out there already has you beat.
#'you wouldnt say this about wheelchairs!' yes they would.#'you wouldnt do this with a missing limb!' i promise they do#'but what about-' look just assume no matter how stupid it is that people are dicks about it

thing I am proud of: when the doctor started going on a weird rant about long covid not being real I paused and listened to his nonsense for a bit and then very calmly said, in a polite and curious tone, "you don't believe in post-viral illness?" and he like. stammered a bunch and was like OH WELL I'M NOT SAYING -- I DON'T...I just think ..! and backpedaled awkwardly while I just sat there like :3c interesting :3c thank you so much for clarifying your stance on this :3c
an important skill for chronically ill people to develop is the ability to treat the doctor as though they are simply a person you are interviewing to find out how much they know about your condition.
Holy shit op this is LITERALLY in the book 'Never Split The Difference: Negotiating as if Your Life Depends On It'. Written by a guy who did hostage negotiation and then tried doing business negotiation, and mopped the floor with industry experts.
I'm fortunate enough to have a primary care doctor who knows about hEDS, but it's occurring to me that the skills in this book could be medically life changing for chronically ill folks of all kinds. Like. Literally a matter of life and death, especially for BIPOC and/or fat and/or young people who are having their issues dismissed.
HMMM interesting!! will have to check this out

Audubon: remember to use unsalted peanut butter with no added sugars for your suet!
Facebook birders: buldak suet
Hey. Hey. Listen.
Processed sugar is bad for birds. It’s not great for humans either but we’re a lot larger than birds so it takes more to hurt us and we’re knowledgeable enough to inflict that harm on ourselves by our own volition.
Peppers, on the other hand, evolved capsaicin for the explicit purpose of deterring mammals so that only birds would eat their fruit and spread their seeds. While we are still larger than birds and inflicting that harm on ourselves by our own volition, that burn doesn’t affect birds at all.
So upping the spiciness of your homemade suet block to deter squirrels is literally using capsaicin for nature’s intended purpose.
And that squirrel is a freak of nature.
yes i'm fully aware of the evolutionary advantages of capsaicin but lacing your suet with over 1000mg of sodium is probably not ideal.
“Why do straight men act so gay with each other haha” bc they find gayness to be funny and feel the need to emasculate each other even when it’s on a friendly level. Do you have any other stupid fucking questions to ask me
