Interesting take on the Pink and Kris parallels I don't think I've seen this far is that while the surface comparison is a body and soul learning how to co-operate and get along, the details may be switched around for Kris and the Player's experience compared to Pink's.
What do I mean by that you may ask? Well to put it simply, Pink's body is the one that wants to date and be friends with the Fun Gang mean the soul is dead set (pun intended) on defeating us in battle. Considering how Pink is only able to be encountered on the normal route it's safe to say that most players who are fighting her are doing something of a pacifist run, and well what is that but just trying to be friendly with everyone and not wanting to hurt them? Especially considering how you can only defeat Pink in a pacifist manner.
You must remember that Kris is the Cage and we the Player are the Prisoner the Cage is meant to hold. While we have control over Kris' body, they still have a shocking amount of autonomy and are even able to remove us from their body, while also clearly needing us for some grander plan. A plan we the Player are not privy to that directly goes against what the Fun Gang wants to achieve. I'm not going to touch upon this too much as I made a post in the past about how both Kris and the Player are pawns in a sense.
What I'm trying to get at is that while the Player is just trying to be friendly and help out the denizens of this world, Kris is the one with the ulterior motive, one that puts the people we've come to care for in danger. And I think it's interesting to see how the roles are swapped compared to Pink. Kris is the one who needs to realize what they're doing isn't healthy, even if it isn't affecting the Player, it's inevitably going to affect their relationships in a way they can't repair.
