I came up with a whole backstory for this AU, but I’ll just leave you with this blurb:

After the media circus around the Cerberus trials dies down and the rogue Section 31 cell has been thoroughly dealt with, no one expects to see key witness Shepard, ex-special forces commander, ever again. Not after she publicly disavowed Starfleet, and not with half the quadrant still questioning her involvement. They especially don’t expect to see her captaining her own starship. And to hire a turian first officer only months after the Hierarchy’s sudden and inexplicable move to join the Federation? It’s like she’s begging for negative attention. The galaxy wants to know: what leverage does she hold against Starfleet brass to make them cater to her every whim? And how long until the crew cannibalizes itself under her rogue leadership?

No, no no… you identify bone from rock or other substances by touching it to your tongue. If it sticks, it’s bone. The taste itself has nothing to do with it. And most archaeologists won’t lick human bones if they know they’re human.

Thank you to everyone who commented in their tags or messaged me. Indeed, today is “Martin and Bosco Day”. I originally whimsically blazed this photo on 13 July 2022. I never expected Martin and Bosco to travel so far and make so many new friends. The experience has been such a gift for me.

If Obi-Wan had actually stayed on Mandalore with Satine after the Civil War and left the Jedi Order, it would've made The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones peak comedy.

Like, Qui-Gon would still be sent to Naboo and end up on Tatooine, he'd still meet Anakin and take him back to the Temple. But, in this AU, he survives the battle on Theed and takes Anakin as his padawan. And the entire Order would be making jokes:

"Congrats on the new padawan! Hope he sticks around longer than the last one!" "We'll keep this one off the bodyguard missions, eh Qui-Gon?"

So one day little Anakin’s like "hey master, what happened to your last padawan?" And Qui-Gon's like "oh he ran off with a girl, yeah he's royalty in the Outer Rim now".

And it's all fine and dandy until Anakin’s nineteen and they get assigned to protect Padmé, and Qui-Gon takes one look at this kid's face and thinks "You've got to be fucking kidding me, this shit again??"

I think I am officially Fandom Old.
