Everyone who pick.Dick are liars and haters,Dick.went with the trend of the time. Jason and Cass are literally out here looking like who did it with what and when.
I don't know if its just me but I get annoyed by the fact that Wookyung calls Minho hyung especially when he doesn't respect him as per the tittle. Also what's their age gap I have heard people say that they have an age gap of ten years.
Anon, let me tell you just yesterday I was thinking about how Wookyung calls Minho Hyung (big brother) yet does disgusting things to him. It grossed me out when he kept calling Minho hyung even while r**ing him. Good to know I'm not the only one got bothered by it. But I think that was the intention of the author.
In Korean culture, younger men call older men/brothers hyung as a show of respect which Wookyung doesn't have for Minho considering how he belittles Minho all the time. One would think he'd have called Minho by his name to show utter disrespect. But him calling Minho, hyung just comes to him naturally as he grew up in that culture and it shows how deranged he is.
He addresses Minho with a respectful title but does totally the opposite in action. Maybe it's his fetish. Who knows. He's a disgusting pos that's for sure.
Minho is 2-3 years older than Wookyung not ten years.
I've talked about DC's ridiculous whitewashing before, that they turned a character brown just so they won't have to admit the first character is brown (Helena Bertinelli and Selina Kyle/Helena Wayne).
But this case is seriously one of the most ridiculous thing I've seen related to whitewashing.
The whitewashing of Poison Ivy.
She is GREEN.
She is frickin green, why color her in a human skin tone?
Just let her be green! Why white?
Honestly the green suits her so much more.
I love her current series, but why she's white? Why can't artists let her be green?
Also there's Gar/ Beast Boy in his Graphic novel "Teen Titans: Beast Boy"
I haven't seen any real explanation why the artist Gabriel Piccolo gave him a human skin tone.
He's not really white so at least there's that, he's of African decent so at least he got to have some melanin, but I just find it strange.
I understand it's hard to blend in when you're green? And it's about him being a teen. But it still counts as an example of DC erasing green skin tone from character.
Just why?
This type of white washing or human-skin-tone-washing is just so funny to me.
Just let characters be green! Why white? Why human? Huge part of them are based on the fact they are not humans.
I haven't seen any explanation to this phenomenon, if anyone can give me any insights on this subject I'm open to learn.
And Garfield mark logan is literally a blonde blue eyes baby from his first introduction in comics. I know your talking about the graphic novel but gar is a white boy
Don't get it twisted, Tim went to every school known to main boarding, private, chearter and public school. Bruce just had Jason and Dick was just place in public school
Another strike in the "nobody was editing this shit" column.
That's NOT how Beast Boy's powers work. He is plugged into The Red, a Morphogenetic field surrounding the earth that connects all of the wildlife upon it.
He can't transform into an other dimensional god entity because that's not actually an animal, especially when it's not from the DIMENSION, let alone this planet.
This is new earth and earth 1 where he's actually not part of the red til new 52. So, his power does work like this. Marv wolfman even said gar can change into other people because he was a shape shifter at first But don't because his green
i really hate how the DC writers and some fans are so obsessed with āwhich batfamily can beat whichā and with just seeing ācool fight scenesā and stuff
This awful obsession keeps taking precedence over and destroying any semblance of actual good creative stories
Jason Todd is probably one of the most common victim of this BS, see RHATO 25 and all of those stupid fights between Jason & the batfamily in Task Force Z, the writers making the characters fight in situations they absolutely donāt have to, at least not without trying to talk it out first (there was absolutely no reason for Jason & the batfamily not to communicate about whatās going on with the task force, it was literally only engineered to be a total failure of communications to have a batfamily VS Jason fight that looks cool)
i donāt actually read a lot of comics, i read task force z just to get context on that panel where Cassandra spooks Jason, but iām sure other people here can tell examples where it happens to other characters too, but i do think Jason is a more common victim of this simply due to DC not having any real direction to take his character to because they wonāt let go of the Joker, and even without that simply because they wonāt let go of the conflict between Jason & Bruce, because āif itās not broken donāt fix itā and these people are concerned with making money not with telling a compelling story
Also, like, fighting isnāt all the members of the batfamily can do????? They have a wider skillet than that, with each of them also having their own unique specialization??????
Dick is one of the best acrobats in the world, and extremely capable & experienced vigilante, heās the oldest of the batkids and has the most experience as a result, and heās also a leader in the vigilante community
Barbara is Oracle, a legendary hacker and leader+coordinator of multiple superhero teams, top notch computer skills second to none as well as multitasking and crisis management
Jason is a master tactician, he can toy with people and factions in extremely long term plans to achieve the results he wants
Tim is the shoe-in to being the worldās greatest detective, heās a very capable vigilante overall, and his computer skills are top notch, not that far behind Barbara
i donāt know if Stephanie is considered āthe bestā of any batfamily skill in particular, i suspect this may be due to writersā sexism treating her more like an emotional support character to others rather than as her own character most of the time, i donāt actually read the comics that much and my information is what i decided should be canon based on what i learned from the fandom and in my opinion makes for the most compelling story, please do tell me if Steph has been written to be exceptional even in the batfamily in any particular skill, she deserves to be
Cassandra is the worldās best combatant, hands down, she stopped and restarted a manās heart to make a point using just a palm strike, in a front-on battle she can literally take anyone down before they can really perceive that sheās there, and her combat skills also happen to allow her to read people like an open book
Damian was trained by the league of assassins from birth, heās extremely capable in everything in a similar manner to how Bruce is, his character arc is even not really about him learning how to be a badass vigilante and more about him learning how to express himself and connect with others
Duke is literally a superpowered hypergenius, i donāt think i can do justice to his abilities here so go look at his wiki page
You're a metahuman hero, forged in the shadows, who can crack the codes of daytime. You're a gift to this city. Batman Duke Thomas is The Si
Stop constantly making these people fight each other!!! Thereās more to them than that, and it just makes for shitty stories!!!!
No the task force z fight those kids did right. They were having flashbacks when Jason use to attack during mid conversation. Dick and Jason used to be on sight, dick learn his lesson the first time around it took Tim years to throw punches first and he still ain't learn.
As for the fight this family call it a sparring match when they literally be trying to kill each other In a fight
dcukofficial posted the first picture on instagram. now, i donāt know much about carrie so i wonāt speak on her being there and part of the āadopted siblings/kids,ā but stephanie most definitely should not be there. a member of the batfamily absolutely, but she is not one of bruceās kids.
as for the second picture, that person is just wrong. sentiments like that are exactly why duke is often excluded. no, he isnāt officially adopted by bruce, but heās just as much his kid and a sibling to cass and the boys.
the boys and cass consider him a part of their family and as their brother.
heās their brother in everything but legality and blood. he might not be adopted but neither was dick until he was an adult. (not that it matters much because, again, bruce still saw him as his son and tim & jason still saw him as their brother.)
I.just.like how Bruce and Damian act like they weren't involved in the fight. I'm ngl I always thought it was Damian who said Jason beat them.fair and square it was proud papa Bruce.
So I've been sort of looking at the Brady Bunch ever since I found the comic scans of Tim comparing Jason to Jan and acknowledging that he's Cindy, then a later comic scan of him and Dick sharing this inside joke and of course, Dick would be Marcia...
Now I've been looking at these clips and idk Tim is never treated unseriously to me...maybe early on, when nobody wanted him to be Robin but they let him because he stopped Bruce from going crazy but Tim and Jason barely have much of a relationship compared to Jan and Cindy...
Especially when you have writers dumbing Jason down and being desperate for Tim's recognition...from what I heard...that's just pathetic.
I don't know cousin Oliver, but I really don't see Damian filling that role but I guess this is probably the inside joke of DC...what were they trying to say about Damian...was Damian, Batman comics' last attempt to rise up?
I do like the comparison of Jason and Jan though only because I think Jan is the most interesting of the Brady Bunch and in my opinion, Jason is the most interesting of the Robins.
Even though ngl I have a soft spot for Dick Grayson
and lol I would love to see Dick and Jason having similar mean girl relationship that Marcia and Jan has lmao
Also after watching clips of the Brady Bunch...personally I think
movie>show
yeah I prefer the Brady Bunch movie over the show. The movie was hilarious...the show was...eh. I had one funny scene I laughed at and it was a rare clip I found of Marcia being mean to Jan... I guess I have a mean humour huh lol. Funny enough I think what made the Brady Bunch movie shine was Marcia and Jan. At least in my opinion
flash fans is Jeremy Adams leaving flash i'm only asking that question because flash one mintue war is shipping bi weekly and Dc only do that now for writers on their way out it seems
In the original comics beast boy is a slur term used by I believe to be Galtry to insult him. It got so bad that it was one of the two reason that he tried to change his name to Changeling.
So basically it is the same as everyone calling a black man the word that should not be said.
Also the second reason is due to his always unstable life due to friends always either dyeing, betraying or simply leaving him in order to start a new life somewhere else.
This is a really cute issue, itās basically just Bruce desperately trying to go to sleep and being interrupted ever time.Ā
Nerdy little Jason and his tired dad <3Ā
80s Bruce is his peak single dad era.
Then one of Jasonās teachers wants to speak to Bruce about Jay falling asleep in class, which is apparently still a problem (it came up during the custody battle too!)
Shenanigans with home repairs, Vicki Vale, and Julia follow and poor Bruce doesnāt get a wink before he has to pick Jason up from school again.
āThis bathrobe is a Pierre Cardin originalā god I would give anything to get this Bruce back.
On the way home with Jason Bruce keeps nearly falling asleep at the wheel, and poor Jay is fighting to keep them both alive. I donāt think Robin is who needs sleep, babe.
