The halfbuilt Phinisi ship! One of the pride of Indonesian maritime culture. Literally #handmade. From bottom to the top. This is what a #traditional #ship building yard looks like. According to #folklore , there was once an #ancient ship that got broken in two... the sail went to one place. And the body ended up in another. The people who git the body.... they became the builders. Meanwhile the people who got the sail... they became the architects. Cool yeah...# When it's finished, they need to take around 1-2 months to pull the 15ish meter high ship into the sea. I'm still amazed that they don't use any steel materials in its structure.
