The drama! The skill! The cinematography! It's ART! IT'S ALL ART!!
In the club
I think Iâm literally never gonna be sick of this masterpiece. I think watching it on a loop for eight hours could fix me. Dancingâs what clears my soul. Dancingâs what makes me whole.
I just love that this very video is an accumulation of thousands of years worth of art made by people who have never met each other. The concept of this video was so completely unfathomable to every single artist who made the sculptures and yet theyâve all put something toward the creation of it.

final one
for all the marbles,
this one doesn't have an illustration bc i think it was just a kids novel but i haven't been able to find ANYTHING about it on my occasional internet queries:
kids is staying with his (grandmother?) in the woods and she warns him not to look a fox in the eyes bc they're tricksy and will swap places with you. obviously that's the first thing the little boy does and gets body snatched by a fox who uhhhh proceeds to pig out with his new little boy human hands and the boy has to trick the fox into looking him in the eyes again to switch back...
thats all i got, it's an older book i wanna say from the 60's?? 70's?? kinda the same jist of "Little Rascal"
perhaps this?
A DECADE OF SEARCHING THANK YOU @dyketennant IM ORDERING THIS IMMEDIATELY

i cannot express how much these are from memory, that's how internalized these artists and writers have become, they're a part of me now
The first one looks like The Spider and the Fly, though the poses are a bit different.
The second one is likely Stellaluna.
Iâm not sure about the third one, I will keep searching.
I think I found the third one, though Iâm the least confident about this one. Is it Creature Tech?
Unfortunately it doesnât have a praying mantis on the cover :(

A professor gave us an extra credit option: take a picture of yourself outside, doing something that you would not usually do. We were told not to take it too seriously. Here is my entry:
I maintain that sticking my head in the mailbox is not something I do on a regular basis.
Love that some of you are reblogging this. You looked at a picture of a guy with his head in a mailbox and went "yeah"
Can't wait to see if everyone did something like this or if they had a normal reaction. I will keep you posted.

Hello to everyone asking for an update!
The professor has said that he will put all submitted pictures into a powerpoint to be shown in class tomorrow (Tuesday, March 9th). I am very much looking forward to seeing the reaction from him and from the rest of the class. I promise to keep you informed.
Update: the professor saved my picture for last. I was told that I had "truly embodied the spirit of the assignment" and that I had gone "above and beyond."
Also, to everyone who is worrying about whether or not I got my head out, I was gifted with a very small head, and while I got out just fine I would NOT recommend this if you have a large head or even a normal sized head.
Hey you guys should make this into a meme.
Hows this?

people who don't follow chess I promise this post is really funny
Karpov had cemented his position as the world's best player and world champion by the time Garry Kasparov arrived on the scene. In their first match, the World Chess Championship 1984 in Moscow, the first player to win six games would win the match. Karpov built a 4â0 lead after nine games. The next 17 games were drawn, setting a record for world title matches, and it took Karpov until game 27 to gain his fifth win. In game 31, Karpov had a winning position but failed to take advantage and settled for a draw. He lost the next game, after which 14 more draws ensued. Karpov held a solidly winning position in Game 41, but again blundered and had to settle for a draw. After Kasparov won games 47 and 48, FIDE President Florencio Campomanes unilaterally terminated the match, citing the players' health. Karpov is said to have lost 10Â kg over the course of the match. The match had lasted an unprecedented five months, with five wins for Karpov, three for Kasparov, and 40 draws.
okay, yeah this is pretty funny
The long-lost remains of King Alfred the Great have been found buried under a car park, investigators claim.
Alfred died in 899, and his bones were repeatedly moved. He was buried in Winchester Cathedral until 1110, when his remains were moved to Winchester's Hyde Abbey, where they were interred before the high altar between the bodies of his wife and son. The abbey was demolished after the dissolution of the monasteries in 1539, and the place was left in ruins. In 1866, during construction of a workhouse on the site, the English antiquarian John Mellor excavated the area, found what he thought were Alfred's bones and had them reburied at nearby St. Bartholemewâs Church. But in 2013, when archaeologists exhumed and carbon-dated the bones from St. Bartholomewâs churchyard, they proved to date from over 200 years after Alfredâs death - sparking Graham's interest and search. He said: "Whoeverâs bones they were, they werenât Alfredâs. So, I decided to discover what happened to them. "The quest has taken me 13 years.â
shut up they did not find another goddamn king under another goddamn car park
