I sometimes make memes, sometimes post out-of context snippets (spoils) or reviews from shows , movies , anime, cartoon, book, comic or manhwa/ manga/manhua etc that im currently on (emphasis on Sometimes) Not binding to a specific fandom, content will varry. Worse editor ever. Cant even photoshop to save my own life. no longer an active Smite gamer, now strictly Baldurs Gate 3 because im poor and cant afford a better laptop lol. My parents are not angry with me, just disappointed.

Another gem found. And boy oh boy, i sure do have a type Ahaaa.

The Seven of Spades series by Cordelia Kingsbridge.

On top having tortured souls (plural) , its a story of recovery too. So its not Just Angst, its heartwarming.

It does something for me seeing the characters i grew attached to, being taken care off.

The theme is Bounty hunter X Detective working togather to take down a serial killer.

So in other words, a 'What If' Criminal Minds has gay main characters. But i wouldn't compare too much of it with CM.

It was fun trying to figure out who the killer was. I was so happy that My 1st guess was correct yay.

i had my doubts , but i stand by my suspicion even before i started the last book and whatdayaknow, right on the money.

SEMI-SPOILER ALERT

Was worried at first when i read the 1st book cause one of the mc was in a serious relationship before, and i was scared that there might be adultry or ntr (cuckholding) involved. But not to worry (to those who aint into that) theres no cheating (sex wise at least) i mean sure, someone has a crush and 1 drunken mistake (a kiss nothing more) happened before a break-up, but a certain somebody put their foot down and was a total gentleman about it , didn't take advantange of him and the drunkard did not force himself on him. So in my opinion mc manage to break things off cleanly (as far as clean goes) and they (3 of em) manage to stay civil or dare i say friendly even after the break up (but within time as the book progress ofcourse, it wasnt immediate)

This isnt one of those book where the 2 mcs first met, decalre their love halfway through and practically ready to get married lol. So the characters relationship/ romance is kinda refreshing with a nice pace, as far as a mm book goes that is.

And the smutt is good, i give it an A+.

Also, throughout the entire series i was praying noting bad happens to Rebel (the dog) cause in the wise words of rosa diaz from b99

Found an awesome action pack Spy/Agent x Assasin BL book.

It was a wild ride with mind games and angst. It really leaves you at the edge of your seat.

The book is mostly Jack's pov, it isnt until later in the series where Jacks and ethan's pov takes turn plus Ethan has his on short story where its just his pov in book 2 (which is book 2.5).

The main books 1,2 and 3 followed the usual Then and Now story line (except for book 3 that still incorporate that style but also change pov)

So it was nice to see Ethan's side in 2.5

Plus seeing Jack not only fell first but HARD is always fun lol

Also, Not me who imagine Ethan as Tom Hiddleston (specifically Loki) 💀.

If this ever became a movie or series i know who my first pick is aha.

And right after i finished this book i found out theres an interactive game called MAYBE and theres like an episode of this book??

I dont play the game so i have no idea how this works. So take this info however you like.

found a new favorite series :3

Soulbound by Hailey Turner

im surprise this book isnt talked about a lot/ considering the content of this novel, and the internet's love for Supernatural (the series) and percy jackson, i imagine this would be the perfect read for those who shared the same interest in the genre.

this series has it all, mages, witches, sorcery, detective/ special agent (and not the pretending to be one type too lol ) , found family, werewolves /werecreatures (like weretigers etc) , vampire, demon/angel & alpha/pack shenanigans, mythical deities from different pantheons.

Plus , guessing who the deity is and from what pantheon they are is part of the fun, i pat myself on the back when i got a guessed right.

And best of all, im a sucker for 'Over protective mother hen x Tortured soul with suicidal tendencies' ship dynamic~~~

So yes, make way for A N G S T.

If yall think the manhwa by son gaepi is good , check out the book.

Just like "zero at the bone".

The manhwa changes here and there as well. Is just okay, if you're reading the manhwa as a stand alone. But if ya want to dive into more into THIRDS world, then definitely give the book a chance.

Examples of changes, is like the mahwa felt conpressed, and the artist have to make some changes in terms of art or references.

For example, changes like the chrismas sweater Dex got. seems small and doesnt have a big impact, but make sense for Dex's personality;

this aint a post about Manhwa vs Book. Dont get me wrong, the manhwa has a special place in my heart cause it was good enough for me to try to check book out that it was based on. . So i have no regrets reading the manhwa, i still enjoyed it nontheless.

Oh and yeaaaah this book is smutty :> the smutt in manhwa is just the tip of the iceberg. They doing the devils tanggo everywhere.

The book has more to it than just a "rom-com" between a sunshine boi x mysterious tortured soul (considering it has sequels, they explored and has progress to characters personality and growth)

Like not only Dex and Sloane but other supporting characters too and their relationships.

I.e, ash & cael, Calvin & Hobbs, even Hudsan got a man (but i wont drop his name cause that would be a spoiler)

Not to mention they also focus on Dex relationships with his teamates as well as his romance with sloane.

Like the friendship between him ____ and ___ is so sweet and wholesome (not gonna drop any names cause its spoiler) and they Come a hell of a long way.

It doesnt come across 3rd wheel-ish nor harem-ish. Cause its Dex and he is a wholesome guy.

Plus Dex's relationship with his adopted father and brother is the most sweetest thing ever.

Not to mention, A lot of 'the 80s', 80s music and some pop culture references. Not only coming from Dex alone.

I use to think it was just a random quirky trait the author give to Dex (just to make him look more quirky or unique , to stand out or something like that)

But apparently it worked well with his Backstory...Yeah you heard it. Being a huge 80s nerd has an impact on Dex as a character.

And the romance between the Characters? Oh boy!

Lets just say, Dex fell first But Sloane Fell Harder.

And dont get me started on the angst! Oofff you might think is all light hearted and fluff but once that angst hit it Hits Hard. Like a smack to my face. One minute im laughing at everyone's shenanigans the next, im crying...

Plus, as to we delve into the books, the lore behind being therian expands as well. (Slight spoiler) a thing called Marking will popped out. What does it mean? And does it mean what you think it means ? Well yall gotta find out~

Aaaaannddd ofcourse theres another series picking up after the THIRDS series. Not that im complaining ofcourse 😌.

Spent my weekends reading Zero At The Bone

By Jane Saville. (Plus its shorts)

I aint a critic nor professional book reviewer. Im not gonna list down what the pros and cons are or whats wrong with this book.

I just wanna say, if anyone out there looking for a good read, BL with assasins and stuff. Then check out this work. And its comic counterpart just for fun.

But i cant STRESS this enough. READ THE BOOK/NOVEL first! Then jump to the comic/manhwa.

The comic is just a compress or a summary of the book. Felt rushed and took a lot out.

No spoilers, so i wont say whats different or whats lacking.

Plus, the books has a few shorts, so we get to see more of these 2 after the end of the first book.

Hope no one misunderstood, not here shitting on the comic or anything. And deff dont wanna be the guy, yanno the "read the books, is waaay much better" guy.

But if the comics leave you feeling the "wanting more" feels, than is safe to assume you would've gotten more out of it from the books.

Also i just found this book this week, at the end of the 1st book and a lil here and there in the shorts. I felt like the author is leaving some hints about her "sequel". The air quotes is because this book came out since 2009 and besides the shorts theres no other book related to this series... so yeah now im sad about that.

I dont have twitter nor follow this author in other way shape or form so i have no idea (officially for me that is) if she drop her plan for a sequel or not but consideringit has been 13 years i can safely assume there is no plan for a sequel lol. BUT dont worry. Despite the "hints" is not a cliff hanger type ending, it is pretty nicely wraped up, so i wouldn't worry about that.

But dont take my word for it (really dont, im not good with words and a terrible critic/reviewer lol) this book is one of those "gotta experience it for ya self" type.

Cause instead of reading the next series i decided to procrastinate.

Also this is just another recommendation on top of another, the song Running up that hill Really do fit well with the theme of this book (considering what the meaning behind the song is, it does vibe) aaaaand here me out.
