you can fight the sad from seeing all the beautiful art of Vin and Elend lying peacefully side by side in a field of flowers by imagining that just barely off-screen, Ati is also lying there but he's doing the family guy death pose
once you recognise the ubiquitous and inevitable fandom life cycle it becomes much easier to free yourself from it and just keep enjoying things in a more healthy way while still thinking critically about them
I recently discovered there's interior art of most of The Dynamic. I do not like ZeetZi's canon design at all, so I took it upon myself to redraw him. However, I hate breaking canon, so this is a compromise between my original mental image and the canon description; the hair isn't shaved and the crest lays flat most of the time, in my mind. I don't hate it for a piece I threw together hastily in an hour.
I wonder what Dusk's reaction was to finding out bird people also exist. Probably to ask if they also eat worms and have powers too, or something.
it could purely be plot convenience and im not gonna complain if it is: but like.
the amadoro situation is SO good for the magikeepers. its TOO good. like if you were a magikeeper, and you wanted more control of the witches' association, isn't this like. Perfect for you? if you sweep in now and save everyone, then you prove your efficiency AND that you need more control of the association. like its just sooo good for them that it's suspicious. i don't doubt that amadoro and the amadorolings are genuinely trying to kill, but. it's really convenient. so maybe there's something at play.
i wouldn't put it past them to stage something 'for the greater good' yanno?
I don’t even necessarily think this is a plot by the magikeepers. If we assume Fujimine really does have some means of control over Amadoro, this situation could be specifically engineered to pit the witches and magikeepers against each other. It would show that Fujimine isn’t just powerful, she’s dangerously clever too.
The witches have been trying to get the magikeepers to help them with the World Hater Magik for a while, and now not only is there another wedge driven between them, the magikeepers have a convenient excuse to kneecap the witches ability to fight the World Hater.
Shut up m'dudes, it's a national holiday
Happy Kermie Day to all who celebrate!
i love gambit bc when people ask him what’s wrong he’s just like “Ain’t nothin wrong with gambit.” and then the text boxes on the side would be like “gambit all alone in this world. gambit ain’t neva gone be loved.”

not now kitten. daddy's realizing that the scene he invested 1000 words into could be significantly improved but only if he started over from scratch
I think it's actually really important for the story that the Shokoku Islanders were the instigators in this conflict.
Akemura's actions aren't evil because the Shokokers were completely innocent in this conflict. They're evil because even if the leadership attacked Japan with no mercy and even if they were so powerful and brutal that it made creating the Enchanted Blades necessary it still wouldn't justify the complete eradication of a civilian population. Collective punishment is always bad, no matter the reasons that were used to justify it.
Remember what Akemura said about Hakuri, that he deserved to die because he was raised by the Sazanami's and had inherited their sorcery. The Sazanami clan was evil, they took part in human trafficking and were left alone by the Kamunabi because they had too much power and influence. Chihiro and Hiyuki killing Kyora, any Sazanami's that got in their way and destroying the Rakuzaichi along with the rest of the Sazanami's power base wasn't wrong. That still doesn't mean Hakuri would deserve to die, even if he hadn't helped them.
I think it ultimately makes a more powerful message if we are made to see the Shokoku Islanders as not innocent victims, but active participants in the conflict. The Malediction isn't evil because the Shokoku Islanders were innocent in the conflict, it's evil because genocide is always evil, and I think it's pretty safe to say that's the direction Hokazono is going with.
theres bikes around the city you can rent but you have to use an app that needs your drivers license. theres buses that drive right to your destination, but if you dont have change you need the app. you can wash your car here if you sign into the app. you can go to the bathroom here you just have to unlock it with the app that needs your location on. you can order at this restaurant if you scan the code and download the app. im losing my freaking mind
I'm going to start calling this crap "hostile web design." It's the internet version of hostile architecture. Designed to keep out people who can't or won't pay, results in less accessibility for disabled users.
HOWEVER! There is a solution.
Go to https://bugmenot.com/ and enter the URL of the site you're trying to access that's demanding a login. In most cases, you'll get a list of usernames and passwords you can use to log in.
