I find it interesting that the copyright is listed under a US social security number (SSN) rather than a name.

The SSN block it’s attributed to would have been issued in or after 1962 in Massachusetts. With a copyright of 1978, that means that, if they got the SSN at birth in the year the block came into use, the person would’ve been only 16 (roughly) at the time of publication. However, before a certain point in time (I can’t remember the exact date), people may not have received a SSN at birth and thus the person with this SSN may have been older than that.

According to the Social Security Death Index from 1935-2014, the person with that SSN hadn’t died as of 7 years ago. So, this author might still be out there, assuming it’s a real SSN.

One of his other books, The Rebuilding of God was recently sold through an online used book seller. The synopsis they had read:

Post-nuclear survivalist theology and metaphysics, a good sound copy with a little bit of foxing to top and fore edges. No ownership or other markings. Publisher's note states that the book is filled with grammatical errors which have been left there intentionally to preserve the thought of the book's author ("John III") and his assistant, who are said to have been assassinated.

Text ends on a positive note: "Eventually psychological people" [you and me] "will replace physical people" [those belonging to the products of aborted evolution, amongst whom many Feds and scientists] "and our species dangerous emotional structure will be reduced to safe levels by selective breeding techniques and cloning."

older lotr illustrations sometimes depict éowyn wearing ridiculously small armour. apart from the problem general sexualisation of the only female character (who really does anything), there’s another hilarious thought:

éowyn pretended to be dernhelm, a man. to fit in, she must have worn men’s armor. so the armor in the illustrations is normal for rohirrim.

therefore, all the rohirrim rode to war just like that:

Frank Frazetta was the reason He-Man was designed like that; the producers conduct a study to see what art appeal the most to children, and Frank’s work came out on top in popularity. So everyone in He-Man is dressed the way they are directly because of Frazetta.
