Pretty amazing that the website dedicated entirely to streaming slurs is somehow more ethical than spotify

Crocheted Leaf Sculptures by Susanna Bauer
To truly appreciate the delicacy of Susanna Bauer‘s leaf sculptures, think of crunching a dead leaf in your hand, how it disintegrates into dust with the slightest effort. To work with dry and fragile leaves as a medium for crochet seems nearly impossible, but Susanna somehow manages it with ease, turning leaves into cubes, tunnels, and geometric patterns with techniques that might be more appropriate for the durability of leatherwork. She lives and works in Cornwall, England. You can see more on her website and Facebook.

UNETHICAL????????????
so they said that it turns out that if you centrifuge ricotta cheese at something like 20,000 RPM for a few minutes, you end up with a solid substance that's delicious but so rich that it feels like it solidifies your arteries instantly. they were working on incorporating it into pastry fillings

“One of the poets, whose name I cannot recall, has a passage, which I am unable at the moment to remember, in one of his works, which for the time being has slipped my mind, which hits off admirably this age-old situation.”

there’s a local guy called the Sidewalk Astronomer who sets up outside the clubs downtown with a giant telescope and lets the drunk people walking by look at the stars. he’s my hero and he let me see the moon and Jupiter today
OK aside from the fact that the way the lighting is currently hitting it makes it look like plywood. i think my first crack at putting a ceiling on this place is surprisingly competent ? for the record this is like ten or so cliff sized boulders facing out (the ones from the solstice furnisher that are flat on the bottom) plus a few rows of my trusty limestone retaining walls for like. some detailing. im already thinking of ways to make it look better (like maybe switching to planks instead of the limestone walls and making beams? unsure of what that would look like. was just working with what i have on hand)
the answer was staring me in the face kind of to just use the planks to cover it up and i actually think it looks quite tasteful and dignified. the planks were of course the first option i tried by themselves but the gaps between them were too wide to rly be viable but with the stone above cover them it looks rly good
i didnt even have anything personally against the open roof and kinda even liked it but the allure of challenging myself to construct something wjth what i have access too is too much to resist
