terfs celebrating that the international chess federation has banned trans women from competing in women's FIDE competitions, because it's sooooooo feminist to argue that women are so biologically inferior and nowhere near as smart as men and thus can't play chess on the same level. girl that's not feminism that's literally just misogyny
I know youâre not looking for an answer but the reason chess sometimes still allows womenâs only tournaments has nothing to do with women not being as good at chess, but because chess is such a predominantly boys club where men vastly outnumber women in competitions, and many male chess players are still quite dismissive of women players.
So women made their own chess teams where they could compete together but also didnât have to worry about sexism from other male coaches and male players.
In fact, we find that gender bias inhibits women chess players; when women are told they are playing against men in online games, for example, they consistently play les aggressively, because we all still live in a sexist society and yes that even affects how we play chess. When women think theyâre playing against other women they revert back to aggressive play. (And letâs not ignore the historic dismissal of female chess players by male chess players. Bobby Fischerâs âwomen are not so smartâ quote for example)
So yes. We still allow women to have separate chess competitions, because at it turns out sometimes âequal opportunityâ doesnât actually lead to equality, even in a game like chess.
A vast majority of all chess tournaments are still open to all, coed.
"One study even found that the more men there are taking a maths test in the same room as a solo woman, the lower women's performance become. And, surrounded by men, she herself may come to grudgingly believe that women are indeed naturally inferior in maths.
The mind turns from a focus on seeking success (being bold and creative) to a focus on avoiding failure, which involves being cautious, careful and conservative. A mind that is struggling with negative stereotypes and anxious thoughts is not in a psychologically optimal state for doing taxing intellectual tasks.
Stereotype effects have been seen in women who: record their sex at the beginning of a quantitative test (which is standard practice for many tests); are in the minority as they take the test; have instructors or peers who hold sexist attitudes or have just watched women acting in air-headed ways in commercials."
Delusions of Gender by Cordelia Fine
Add to that the pressure of having to represent all women: indeed, every time a woman fails against a man it is held as proof of the unfitness and inferiority of our entire sex. I also remember a study that showed men try harder when facing a woman, they really make it a point to destroy her, because it's not just a game to them it's about maintaining their dominance. Worth noting that male chess players have been sexually harassing and threatening female chess players since the begining. You make a piss poor political commentator if you refuse to take any of this into account (or are simply ignorant of those facts) as you complain about women not wanting to compete in a male environment.
And lastly, I'll say it again, even if none of this happened, women don't need your permission to spend time together and play together and exist without men. We don't owe men our attention.
people thousands of years ago who didnt know shit about biology could tell there are two different sexes and a few outliers without being able to determine chromosomes, hormones, or anything, cultures have developed for millennia reflecting this, only for some people now to say sex is a spectrum and being a woman is a feeling. little children can tell theres a difference but weâre supposed to pretend weâre not dimorphic, and that intersexism proves that despite even sexual development disorders following the sex binary lmao
animals dont know shit about biology and yet they can identify the opposite sex. are you dumber than an animal?
"The suggestion that we should be the one animal incapable of sexing other members of our species without relying on cultural cues is an absurd denial of our biological evolution and a politically suspect form of human exceptionalism." -Jane Clare Jones; The History of Sex: Sex Denial and Gender Identity Ideology
god forbid a woman listens to any other type of music than pop!! she listens to rock so she must be a man. progressive
when i was younger it was a "teenage girl thing" to be into mcr. wtf happened.
its still a teenage girl thing. the teenage girls now just call themselves "boys" and "men" and insist that others do the same
Why do they base their ENTIRE ideology on gender roles and stereotypes? And then call us sexist?
It's mad projection.
god forbid a woman listens to any other type of music than pop!! she listens to rock so she must be a man. progressive
It is so bizarre to see the gender fandom have headcanons of REAL LIVING PEOPLE. You meet a person and your first thought from learning about their hobbies is to make them trans in your head? Please change and grow.
Also is this not misgendering?
this post got suggested on my feed! i was so mad. a suggested post insinuating that the music i like makes me a man. what is the cult going to come for next?? in june will we learn that eating certain cereals flavours is a sign of gender dysphoria?
According to their documents, 'not having gender dysphoria' is itself a sign of gender dysphoria, so that seems likely.
You had that post about little boys not listening to any woman. This is anon but you can publish it. I work with kids and the behavioral issues with boys and boys alone have sky rocketed and everyone pretends to not notice itâs just the boys. These boys starting in elementary school will moan in class, theyâll make daddy jokes, all of it. The middle school boys make âjokesâ asking their female peers for feet pics or be like âOF?â Theyâre so misogynist itâs unreal like these middle school boys will be like yeah roe v wade was sexist against men because why shouldnât men get a choice? And the administration wonât support adults correcting that line of thinking because âtheyâre entitled to their own opinionâ The way they teach sex ed would absolutely make you vomit. They talk about DV and sexual violence as ânot having a genderâ despite the fact that we have hard numbers to prove that itâs overwhelmingly teenage boys and men who rape everyone but especially girls and women. You canât correct boys on anything anymore theyâll call you a Karen, a cunt, a bitch and the parents are like heâs just a kid youâre being unfair to my son maybe he just needs some support! Donât even get me started on the aggressive behavior and the way these boys will hit their peers, their teacher, any school staff, literally anyone and spin a story about how theyâre the victim. Theyâll refuse to do any school work and blame the school when theyâre essentially failing. They destroy school property they interrupt lessons constantly. Itâs never ending. Itâs so much worse than people who do not work in education will ever realize and people are not talking about it. Boys are out of control and theyâre reveling in it. Girls who report these boys often are labeled as the instigator and are told that if she just ignored him and walked away there wouldnât be an issue. Itâs absolutely never ending. This is the real reason why so many teachers are quitting. Itâs the boys. Iâve had tween boys say things to me, an adult in an authority position, that would get them fired for sexual harassment were they grown men. I canât even tell you how bad it is and itâs like no one believes me and thinks Iâm exaggerating because people will make any excuse they can find before they hold boys accountable. It scares me to think of the men theyâre already becoming because theyâre not about to get better.
Yes, absolutely. And admin rarely does anything to support teachers who have been sexually harrassed or threatened by their male students. If they wonât even give consequences for acting like this towards adults, you know they wonât do anything when they do this to their female peers. We waste so much time managing boysâ behavior, while the girls are just⊠waiting to be taught.
So, domestic violence and rape don't have a gender. Even if men are more likely to be the perpetrator in those crimes, it doesn't do anyone any good to pretend that women can't do them at all. (Actually, the only people it helps are the women who would be domestically violent or rape someone). It absolutely should be taught that anyone can potentially commit those crimes, and anyone can potentially be a victim of those crimes.
Nobody asked. đ
Girls abusing boys at school (statistically) isnât an issue. Boys abusing girls and other boys at school is a huge issue. This is mirrored in wider society as well. It is overwhelmingly men who are abusing women and other men. This doesnât mean that women are incapable of being abusive. It just means thereâs a pattern of violent offenders being male.
Fucking coquette ddlg girls being like yOuRe ShAmInG mE fOr LiKiNg SeX actually I'm trying to give you a wakeup call before Herbert the pervert strangles u to death and the legal system let's him walk free because ""you wanted it"" so jot that down

@staff Your blogging population consists of minors and young women. You know this.
This was a discussion on Ovarit. Porn companies are like Big Tobacco. If they incept minors, especially 11â14 year olds, they know they have customers for life. Porn causes neurological changes and disrupts healthy sexuality in so many disturbing ways, and it is founded on the exploitation of women and girls.
it wonât let me share the video but this woman was talking about how men complaining that women are âdead fishâ or âjust lying thereâ during sex is actually men making fun of us for being assaulted by them. in other news I am craving inhuman levels of violence

Hello, LGB drop the T folks
Ok listen up
If you think the T should be dropped from the LGBTQ acronym, Iâd like you to go and do a quick little bit of digging on the history of Pride, the movement you are gatekeeping. Then come back and tell me that trans people, a large majority of the founders of this community, donât belong here. Just you fucking try. Stop erasing queer history in order to fit it into your exclusive idea of what Pride and queerness is. You are playing right into the hands of those who would seek to ruin us all.
Yeah, Iâm getting a bunch of *gasp* gay people who led the movement. Who else were you expecting?Â
One thing that shocks me as an adult is how much people tolerate & almost respect men w bad tempers and terrible people skills
âwhatâs a female?â âwhatâs a male?â well, what does afab and amab mean? whatâs the biological difference between a transman and a transwoman? who is âtransmisogyny affectedâ, and who isnt? whatâs the difference between the surgeries that transwomen get and the surgeries that transmen get? who can be a transman? who can be a transwoman, and who canât?
stop acting stupid, you all already know the answer
Yeah. The answer is that a woman can define her womanhood however she wants because women are a diverse group with diverse experiences <3
The circumstances of birth are irrelevant. What makes you yourself is how you live your life
Except for the fact that "woman" is an oppressed group. And we would never say that what makes someone a member of any other oppressed group can be defined "any way they want". The fact that they are a diverse group with diverse experience (which is true of any other oppressed group, a quadarepeligic Person and a Deaf person both have wildly differing experience but they are both disabled and share oppression on that access and a person who is generally abled cannot claim membership of the oppressed class of disabled people and does not mean that there is no shared unifying factor that makes them fit into that catagory. Likewise the Male CEO of Google and a lower caste Indian women would both have wildly different experience but both would face opppression based on race and we would not use this difference to say "Asian" is a category that "means anything you want).
Sure, the main thing that matters in terms of judgement of your individualcharacter is "how you live your life", but when we do analysis of class, the circumstances of your birth matter a whole hell of a lot. However, "woman" isn't a character trait nor a values judgement. Not to mention the idea that woman is "a way you live you life" is regressive, since it implies that there is a way to live your life "like a woman" (which also contradicts your previous point). In this context, the final sentance is ultimately a thoughtless platitude.
the thing is, trans people never choose to be trans- they just are, and pretending like they arent makes them very miserable and furthers the strict oppression of women. we cant be rigid about the definition of woman, because rigid definitions are the work of the patriarchy- they were invented specifically so men could oppress us more efficiently. i argue the real radical feminists are the ones who are willing to move past rigid "biological" definitions, and acknowledge women as real people with real lives, regardless of the body they were born with. humans arent cattle.
1. Dysphoria isn't a choice, but transition and trans id are (albeit not in the way having coffee or tea is but in the way going on antidepressants is).
2. This discussion isn't about if transwomen are trans or not. They are. That does not make them women.
3. Except the definition isn't particularly rigid, over 50% of the human race fits the criteria.
4. Except regardless of how we define "woman" males will recognize that they can impregnate, female can be impregnated etc. It is biological differences that are the root of the patriarchy, not giving names to these two categories of people. Not having a coherant definition of woman won't make misogynists confused and think they can forcibly impregnate a "person with a penis" nor that they cannot forcibly impregnate a "person with a vagina" who identifies as a man. Just because you took away the ability to coherently discuss the issue does not make the issue go away.
5. Using a biological definition of woman does not mean not recognizing women as real people with real lives. It in fact is helpful for that goal, since it places "woman" ad a category that says nothing more about a person than the biological category they inhabit, rather than about their personality or presentation. There are plenty of categories that people fit into on the basis of biology alone (like brunettes) and we would not argue that that's reducing them to anything.
5. If you think stating "women are adult human females" is comparing them to cattle, consider why you that being female makes you comparable to cattle and unpack that.
it is impossible to argue with you people when you throw out 12000 separate points and they're all wrong in different ways.
do you genuinely think the terms "male" and "female" are natural to humans? people are on a bimodal distribution, yes, but there is no such thing as "two sexes", unless you're cherry-picking chromosomes, and ignoring xxy, xyy, and so many more. humans are more diverse than just "male" and "female".
also, what do you think trans women are, and why do you place some much stock in saying trans women aren't women? they experience misogyny and suffer under the patriarchy in general like all women. you sure as fuck don't think they're men, you launch witch hunts and slut-shame them like you would with a woman you hate.
by stating that any variation of xx and xy are somehow another sex, you are in fact taking away their classification as intersexual syndroms, denying them as medical diagnosis alongside the underlying conditions asociated to said variation, DENYING THEIR TREATMENT SINCE YOU CONSIDER IS NOT A MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS WHICH IS ABLEIST. Besides that, most (if not all) intersexual syndromes affect one sex SPECIFICALLY. For example XXY (Klinefelter syndrome) and XYY (Jakob syndrome) only affects MALES.
Also, the terms "male" and "female" are as natural to humans as being a "mammal". There are variations across all humans, that won't change the fact that we are mammals, primates, chordata, etc, etc. Male and female is a biological clasification present in every animal who reproduces sexually, such as humans and every other primates. To act like somehow we don't enter said classification is denying the basis of our biology as mammals.
Finally, transwomen are adult human males. Stating that somehow a woman is something else than an adult human female, you are in fact stating 3 things:
1) that being a woman is some abstraction/idea/stereotype/feeling, etc. All things that are subjective and impossible to determine which itself leaves real women unprotected in areas like law and medicine. This also implies that women with cerebral palsy, severe autism, or any kind of neurological condition that keeps them from expresing themselves or communicate their feelings to her peers are not women because they don't actually have an expression of womanhood, which means that they are left in the blank for legal and medical purposes.
2)This also means whatever crime a transwoman commits, is somehow now added to the statistics of women, while any male criminal can simply state that he "feels like a woman" and end up in women's jails, even sexual predators (Lets remember that 96% of sex crimes are commited by MALES). Or like in sports, where somehow transwomen are exceeding in female spaces, while SOMEHOW transmen are not. Is like...the differences between male and female has given MALES an advantage over females while a part of the population keeps pushing for said advantage in the name of transwomen (WHO ARE MALES), while actively keeping women and transmen (WHO ARE FEMALES) in the dark. 3) Also, by stating that you only have to identify as a woman to be one, means that whatever misogyny a woman faces, she only had to stop identifying herself as a woman and she woul be out of it, which is false because the point of opression is that you cannot identify out of it. And no, transwomen don't experiment misogyny because misogyny is sex based. Women are discriminated for being FEMALES from the moment we are born no matter our expression, culture, or character. If a transwoman takes away the make up and the clothing, is just a male. If a transwoman decides to wear simple pants and a white shirt, then somehow is free from misogyny. That's not how opression works. If you can pass out from opression by changing clothes, then you are not opressed in the first place. Besides, that "trans people never chooses to be trans" but somehow gender is a social construct they IDENTIFY THEMSELVES INTO IT is very contradictory. It is really fucking easy to claim that "definitions are rigid and patriarcal" instead of actually explaining how the lack of definitions will improve our lives, while i can very easily point out how its disappearence generates INEQUALITY.
I donât know how the stereotype became that women are the hysterical ones. Have you seen most peopleâs fathers when a slight inconvenience happens
That stereotype does amuse me, especially knowing about some older culturesâ gendered stereotypes. In Greece, for instance, the stereotype for women was that they were cold and analytical, which was of course bad in Greek culture. Men were praised as being more emotionally deep and empathic than women. Which kind of gives away the game. Whatever is culturally valued will be said to be a masculine trait, and since the Enlightenment strongly influenced Western culture to value logic and reason, that became the default man trait while its perceived oppositeâemotionâbecame womanly. Itâs likely to flip soon, at least in the U.S. where anti-intellectualism has reached a fever-pitch and conservative men are openly talking about how what they feel is true is more important after having tried their hands at being logic-bros for awhile.
Any shit that acts like women just donât understand how lonely cis men are fundamentally assumes that women donât feel as deeply as men. Theyâll concede that yeah, sure, women get lonely too, but that their silly female feelings canât possibly compare to the deep tragedy men, the Main Character of the universe, go through. But what it really comes down to is an inability to reckon with the fact that women get just as lonely and depressed as cis men and yet donât commit 98% of mass shootings and 90% of global homicide like they do. Itâs much easier to excuse men choosing to be violent by acting like they have special sad feelings uwu that justify rape and murder than to examine the ways the patriarchy makes cis men feel entitled to hurt people because of their big sad feelings, and then constantly makes excuses for their actions
No I put "cis" there for this specific reason, because it's cis men committing the majority of violence, not trans people, and you fucking transphobes can die mad about it.
#NotAllMales
Went on your blog and saw this post under mine:
I reiterate: you deranged losers can die mad that trans women aren't cis men and that trans people statistically hardly ever commit violent crime. You can lie to each other in your bigoted echo chamber all you want but that doesn't change reality.
Men who want to be women maintain the same statistically much high propensity for violence as other men (compared to women.) Why you think that desire would alter anything else is baffling. Actually I take that back. For some reason the rate of men who want to be women who are sex offenders is much much higher than the general population of men. Do with that what you will..
Just be aware, you're the one doing exactly this:
"Their feelings are so special! Give them a hug instead of prosecution!"
Just because you try to exclude the ones you don't want to acknowledge the violence of from the group by adding 'cis' doesn't mean it makes a statistical difference appear out of thin air. It doesn't.
