You can refer to me as Nia, also known as Niapaldí or Solasarbiter. I don't use my real name due to safety purposes. I'm an Irish-republican and ecosocialist from the north of Ireland.
I'm asexual biromantic and nonbinary demiwoman. My pronouns are they/them and she/her.
I'm an early diagnosed medium masking verbal autistic person with moderate support needs. I also have ADHD-PI, which was late diagnosed.
I'm learning the Irish language and exploring Celtic polytheism as a way to feel more connected to the land and to help decolonise my mind. As of currently, my beliefs are in line with being an agnostic panentheist with elements of animism and polytheism.
I mainly talk about how I navigate the world as a msn autistic and how it intersects with being queer. I also post/reblog about politics and occasionally fandom related content, as well as Tighnari who is my comfort character.
My blog is mainly SFW, but I may also post/reblog about 🍃, which is why I don't want minors to interact (plus I'm more comfortable interacting with other adults).
My general interests: 🍃, celtic languages, history, nature, philosophy, psychology, sociology, space, spirituality
My media interests: anime (attack on titan, re:zero, etc), donghua (daily life of the immortal king, heaven official's blessing, etc), casual gaming (primarily open-world), fantasy genre, folk music, gorillaz, sci-fi genre, squid game, the sonic franchise
I support: anti-capitalism, Black lives matter, Irish reunification, landback, lgbtqia rights, socialism, and trans-inclusive feminism
I am against: capitalism, colonialism, cisheteronormativity, fascism, generative ai, genocide, ice, the patriarchy, war, and white supremacy
My carrd is here, the tone tags are here, and here is my before you follow.
I’m so tired of the “why do people hate aspecs, they aren’t doing anything?” argument. I know that it is an attempt to support us, but it fails so spectacularly to understand aromanticism, asexuality, and any other aspec identity that it’s actively frustrating.
We are doing something. We’re rejecting allonormative ideals and that’s a massive thing to do. We’re actively fighting not just to help other aspecs, but to help everyone, because amatonormativity (and allonormativity as a whole) hurt everyone. Single people who want to find a partner but can’t also deserve to be able to exist.
There are so many issues with the expectation of marriage, including:
A single income isn't enough to get by anymore
Having a spouse is almost necessary under the current medical system
Society shames and pressures people who are single to get into relationships constantly
Rejecting allonormativity means fighting against these things that hurt everyone.
So, no, aces and aros and other aspecs aren't "doing nothing." We're doing quite a lot.
sex-repulsed people are fully within our rights to be cranky and blunt about not liking sex and how it's fucking everywhere btw. we shouldn't have to tiptoe around and make sure our phrasing is perfectly squeaky clean because people interpret any criticism of sex and sexualization as puritanism. venting about compulsory sexuality is not purity culture. maybe you could stand to learn a thing or two from us.
it’s funny how we’re getting to the point in the AI lifespan where you can feel the desperation from tech companies to have you use their AI features. instagram has moved their AI effects to the top of the menu when you’re creating a post for your story, exactly where the draw/edit button used to be. gmail is creating one-click AI-generated replies right before you open up the text box. spotify put a beta AI playlist generator on the front page that looks just like a search bar so all of their users accidentally click on it when they go to search for a song.
tech companies are shaking in their boots trying to prove to shareholders that their investment in AI is worth it, to the point where they’re tricking their users into using the AI features even for a split second in order to fudge the numbers. like awww is your little environment-destroying toy not wielding the results you hoped for? so sad!
Transphobia is about to be signed into law in the UK. We can fight this.
I am begging the UK trans community and its allies to attend the Mass Lobby at Parliament on June 25th, 11am-4pm, organised by Trans Solidarity Alliance.
Last year we broke the record for an LGBT+ mass lobby of Parliament. Will you help us break it again? Join us on 25th June 2026 to demand be
The new EHRC Code of Practice pushes trans people out of toilets, hospital wards, and community spaces. It normalises gender policing based on appearance and stereotypes. It becomes statutory guidance in the UK by the end of June.
Trans people are now legally their assigned gender at birth and must join gendered spaces accordingly, but if they are perceived as their lived gender, they can also be ejected from those spaces. The guidance says: either break the law, or don’t pass too well.
A mass lobby is where you invite your MP to discuss your concerns with you in-person. Ask your MP to:
Demand full parliamentary scrutiny, debate, and use their free vote on the EHRC Code of Practice.
Support any motions rejecting the EHRC guidance. As of June 4th, Labour MP Nadia Whittome has submitted a prayer motion - Early Day Motion 240.
Write to Bridget Phillipson, the Minister for Women and Equalities about our concerns
Your MP does not have to be an ally, they do not have to respond to your email for you to show up and greencard them (details below the cut.) What matters is that as many people as possible show up.
I cannot stress this enough: Showing up in person matters. It is much more effective than petitions, emails, and letters.
It is a horrible, stressful time, and I am so sorry if you're trans and live in the UK. But I was at last year's mass lobby and the line for greencarding alone stretched around the back gates. It was a record breaking mass lobby and made us impossible to ignore. Let's do even better this time. Details under the cut:
Worried about what to say?
Bring your personal worries about transphobia being signed into law, and trans friends being excluded from public spaces. You are a living person who deserves dignity. Remind your MP of that. You will also get guidance and brochures from Trans Solidarity Alliance that outlines our demands. This is mine from last year.
Money issues?
Trans Solidarity Alliance provides a travel bursary that you can sign up for via the link.
Got a refusal or no response from your MP?
Come anyway! You can request a same-day appointment with your MP through a process called greencarding. They will come and see you if they’re already in Parliament. Even if they don’t, they’re made acutely aware of your cause because you showed up in person. This is my greencard from last year.
Here is the EHRC Code of Practice in full. It's a tough read, but some highlights are:
Organisations can’t provide trans-inclusive, single-sex services, or they risk being sued for discrimination.
e.g. domestic violence support for women including trans women, men’s rugby group including trans men (12.68).
Trans people will have nowhere safe to pee.
If you’re a trans man, businesses can't allow you to pee in the men's, and you can also be ejected from women’s bathrooms if you’re perceived as a man. Vice versa for trans women. EHRC suggests a ‘third space’ bathroom, which is discriminatory and unworkable for most businesses. (13.130-133)
Sports organisations must exclude trans people from single-sex competitions (13.73).
A women’s only sports competition must exclude trans women because of their biological advantage or face potential lawsuits (13.74), but a trans man who has undergone testosterone treatment can also be excluded based on fairness rules (13.81).
Trans women are stripped of the legal definition of ‘lesbian’, and therefore no longer have legal protections if they’re discriminated against on the basis of sexual orientation. (2.50, 2.92).
Here is the Good Law Project's better explanation of the EHRC Code.
I have also made a PDF printout of QR codes for the government petition, email your MP tool, and mass lobby link to pass around your communities. DM me and I'll send it to you.
Some people have both, some have one or the other, and some have neither. Berating people who happen to lack either of those qualities doesn’t actually help anyone.
Also, if you are a non-disabled person reading this, please help advocate for accessibility. It gets tiring being the only person fighting for basic access rights.
I don't have a pride post planned but I was recently made aware of the new ace flag and wowie I really like it!
This flag was created by Ashabi, a queer Nigerian-American artist (she/they)!
I love how it explicitly includes the ace mircolabels, and how it highlights multiculturalism and intersectionality. While I do like the look of the old flag, it was odd that it highlighted allies and only represented 2 ace mircrolabels.
Plus, it's quite a nice color scheme! Reminds me of huckleberry lemonade.
The new asexuality flag was created by Ace and Grace aka Ashabi to reflect her own experiences as a black femme woman with asexuality.
Unfortunately within the queer community, these last year there’s been a lot of anti-blackness within the community and not listening to People of Color voices. Y’all need to understand that race and ethnicity can play a HUGE role with someone experiences in the queer community and their experiences with racism in the queer community and outside of community.
AceinGrace wanted to create this new flag to show the difference types of love in the asexual community and people of color experiences of being asexual. As of lately a lot of people of color have been feeling unsafe in the queer community, especially because white queer activists have been ignoring/not talking about what people of color go through and often have to fight harder to be seen as queer, then their white counterparts.
Then there’s people with the community that have been using their autism/ADHD as a shield or other queer folk for not liking and harassing the creator of the new asexual flag because, they don’t like change, just to be aphobic, or racist to AceinGrace. The creator of new ace flag is AuDHD herself and also doesn’t like change, she said hundred percent fine using the old version of the asexual flag too. But because you personally don’t like change, doesn’t mean you are entitled to harass her or others person who using the flag.
Please, listen and learn from other people points of view.

I've always struggled with haircare. People always want me to keep my long hair due to societal standards and how it "matches my face" but I can't manage it. It's either straight, wavy or curly depending on the humidity and length of my hair. It's a struggle for me to wash and rinse it properly. Not to mention that blow drying is too painful for my ears, so I leave it to air dry. I hate how my long wet hair sticks to my skin & clothes because I can't towel dry my hair properly and even then, some parts of my hair are quicker to dry than others which is frustrating.
