friendly reminder that late diagnosed does not innately mean low support needs. plenty of us just didn’t get adequate medical care as children due to a myriad of reasons (eg. abuse/neglect, poverty, parental neglect, school system failure, lack of mental health resources, medical neglect due to misogyny or ableism, etc.) but again—late diagnosed does not innately or intrinsically equate to low support needs. many of us were seen, and hell—some of us were even identified by professionals as being “potentially autistic”, or “showing autistic traits” and yet either never diagnosed or our parents never told us.
Lol 😆 cooking for me is all over the place, I need everything ready to toss into the pan within arms reach in milliseconds or else I’m gonna end up scrambling & burning something. 🫠😭
In today's episode of ND people overthinking ND test questions (and selling their symptoms short), here is your reminder that the question "do you have trouble relaxing?" should not be approached with a mindset of "but I like to relax" or "it's not impossible for me to relax" and thus assuming you don't struggle
If you:
feel like circumstances must be just right in order to relax
can't take a break from a task you're invested in, even if it's lengthy
push off resting until after an event or task, even if you have plenty of time beforehand
feel as though you can't relax if you're not in the right frame of mind
feel restless or too preoccupied to be able to benefit from resting
need to have a specific level of stimulation in order to relax
then it's okay, you're not exaggerating your symptoms, you struggle to relax.
This is not a comprehensive list, they're just based on my experience, so feel free to add if you see fit
DISCLAIMER, I AM NOW 17 AND I REFUSE TO TAKE THE TIME TO FIX THE ART </3
hello! my name is eden or valentino (val for short). i’m sort of new to tumblr, i moved here from tiktok since it got banned !! i am the host of a polyfragmented DID system, though i’m not sure exactly how often i’ll post about that. though i don’t enjoy syscourse, i am personally anti endogenic and would prefer if endos & their supporters did not interact with this blog.
im generally multifandom, and just post whatever i fixate on & things related to my special interests. currently i am fixated on fashion, thrifting, & otome games! more information under the cut.

endo neutrals are on very thin ice, as long as you don’t partake in syscourse often, i don’t care as much
blogs that post IRL porn. self explanatory. we are bodily 17, aka a minor.
under 15 or over 20. this is just personal preference considering our age and what we post.
if you participate in ship wars. obviously this doesn’t include genuinely problematic ships, but if you hate rarepairs or polyships, this isn’t the blog for you.
basic criteria, such as homophobic, transphobic, ableist, etc.
Sometimes you crave both at the exact same moment.
Many people with AuDHD describe living with an internal push and pull that can be difficult to explain. The need for predictability can coexist with an equally powerful drive for stimulation, making everyday decisions feel surprisingly complex. This tension is widely recognized in descriptions of co-occurring autism and ADHD. (sensoryoverload.info)
That’s the experience I explore in this article.
Why one mind can simultaneously crave order and chaos, routine and novelty, deep focus and constant change
