One of my best #benchpress nights in a while. Most of my training from last night is was filmed minus things like #bandedpullaparts, #chinups and #planks. But the important stuff is all here. One thing to remember when setting up to bench, is to make sure your whole body is AIR FREAKING TIGHT before you even unrack the bar. Keep it tight throughout the movement. Squeeze those #glutes, squeeze your #legs, keep your #scapula retracted at ALL TIMES. You'll be amazed at how much you can bench. Remember that #strength is a skill. Fire up the #motorpatterns correctly at the rest comes easily. I finally to using a #lightresistanceband instead of a mini for #bandedpullaparts! 🤪🤪. I really like the extra #tension on this in terms of building up my #upperback, especially since the reps are slow and controlled. So here's the last pull apart/#dumbbellbenchpress #superset of five, post yesterday's #squat session. For pull aparts I did just a few reps before doing 27.5x5x10. I always superset #upperbody exercises and you should as well. Do so for #muscularbalance. Do so for the sake of #injuryprevention. First time hitting 320 in a while. Quick reminder to always BRACE before performing ANY major #compoundmovement. It'll keep your #core tight and your spine as straight as possible. Also, since this a heavy week, and this is 90% of my 1RM, I intentionally stayed away from supersetting #bandedpullaparts before the #squat sets as a means to rest a little more and conserve at least some energy. I also decrease most of my #accesorywork during my heavy weeks, which gives me more of an opportunity to put more work into the big lifts and perhaps even try for a PR.
