'Having D.I.D isn't just about silly alters!'
Thats correct it can also be;
Scattered amnesia that makes you question your own existence.
Alters moving objects when you thought you were in control and then freaking out cause it wasn't YOU.
Clothes hoarding to the point its a problem cause you feel like theres someone in the system who will wear it/ get upset if you throw it away.
Having a alter talk to you in the mind and keep you from having a panic attack.
Hearing a persecutor threaten you in the middle of a mental breakdown about something else.
Having alters/persecutors who hold trauma so bad that you can't look at them. Or having alters/persecutors who hold trauma so bad that they continue to act on.
i forgot i can draw
“the other day” means either today or 6 years ago. no inbetween
Shout out to the other chronically mentally ill systems who’s disorders and traumas have severely impacted your quality of life and functioning
shout out to polyfragmented or complex and highly complex did systems
shout out to the systems who are RAMCOA survivors, childhood sexual abuse survivors, or childhood torture survivors
shout out to systems diagnosed with other comorbid mental disorders
shout out specifically to systems with BPD🫂
shout out to systems who have lost relationships with people because of your mental health
shout out to the systems struggling with substance abuse issues or addiction
shout out to the systems who’ve been in and out of mental hospitals
shout out to fellow black systems and other poc systems with many intersecting marginalized identities
shout out to systems who can’t attend in real life school or are graduating late due to their mental health
shout out to the systems who can’t get a job or a drivers license
shout out to the systems who lost their childhood and teenage years due to constant mental health struggles
shout out to systems who have to take multiple medications for their disorders
shout out to the lonely systems who can hardly ever leave their homes and build friendships
shout out to the systems that struggle with the scars their sh addictions leave
shout out to systems who can’t take care of themselves without needing support
try to keep in mind that you are not the average persons, so we shouldn’t expect ourselves to be able to function just like the average person would. know you are all loved and are trying your best to navigate a society that wasn’t designed with poc and disabled or neurodivergent people in mind. i wish you systems the bestest recovery possible and i’m sending much love and support.
tossing my hat into the circle on the "evil alter" topic
sometimes you really do have evil fucking headmates. and they're not misunderstood or misguided.
we had one headmate we genuinely considered that "evil headmate". if you knew him like we did, you'd agree.
he wanted to do nothing but kill the body. we went through this for years. he had a lot of god powers no one else had and he'd project suicidal ideation into whoever was front and then comfort them after so he'd be considered a comfort figure, and for a long time he was. that same headmate ran a in-system cult. we had many fragments that were a part of it. our host at the time was a part of it because this headmate had convinced the host that it was beneficial.
the entire goal was for the host, at the time, to step down so gabriel could be host and kill us. that was his entire purpose. he was not misguided.
i understand why people are against the term, i'm not ignorant, but a lot of you i do feel have a strong misunderstanding that headmates can be bad people.
not all headmates in a system will like the body.
not all headmates will appreciate the concept of being plural.
not all headmates give a fuck about your friends.
some headmates will hurt the body.
some headmates will hurt others.
that's how it fucking is. and, because of this, i'll always have a complex view on "system accountability". we cannot, in all our good genuine intentions, collectively apologize and mean it. there's wwaaaayyy too fucking many of us in here. not even taking amnesia into the conversation, by the way.
all of this being said... i get why people are against that term. i said that before. i'm not ignorant about it, but i do think a lot of you need to accept not all systems will be happy for being a system. to some a system is to keep them alive and to others it's filled with abusers that they want gone. that's how it goes. you can be both!
godspeed to all of you. i love you.

System Term:
Dandelion seed forming/Dandelion seed splitting - Forming fragments and/or shards on mass, but only a few, if any, go on to became long term active system members. The others may go dormant very quickly after forming, get "absorbed" by a more elaborate alter, get "absorbed" by the system as a whole, or fuse with each other a form a few more alters. Before they disappear or "take root and grow" the dandelion seed fragments/shards may be similar to sand fragments (link).
Here's some examples of how this could work
Sometimes when we are faced with feeling of abandonment by stabilizing figures in our live, our brain, for lack of a better panics, and starts rapidly introjecting fragments that hold traits of people and characters we know that person likes(BPD moment). Almost all of these fragments disappear within a month.
A system that is currently experiencing a significantly distressing situation may form many fragments and/or shards that temporarily hold emotions. The fragments and/or shards may quickly go dormant once the system is no longer in the situation.
Rapidly forming many trauma holders while experiencing something traumatic, that than either fuse with each other into only a few, or fuse with preexisting trauma holders.
We made this term to describe some of the experiences we have as a C-DID system, however it's not inherent exclusive to C-DID/polyfragmentation*.
(*Though we will say, if you relate to it there's a pretty good chance your system is polyfragmented)
No flag because I can't figure out what to do for it.
