THE OG LADDER EXPERIMENT + HOW TO ENTER VOID WITH SATS
Neville Goddard's Ladder experiment proves that SATS (State Akin To Sleep) overrides resistance and 3d circumstances.
WHAT THEY DID
Neville asked his participants to visualise a ladder for 3-7 nights while intentionally affirming that "I WILL NOT CLIMB A LADDER" which resulted in them climbing a ladder the later days. They didn't just imagine a ladder, they visualised and felt it. They visualised holding the ladder, climbing it before bed, right before you fall asleep (which is practically referred as SATS) and affirmed the opposite during the day.

HOW IT WORKS
SATS programs your subconscious mind by the nightly visualization. Our subconscious mind is very receptive right before falling asleep, when we are in a drowsy state. Even if your mind assumes the opposite, SATS is really powerful.
A ladder is used because it's simple and doesn't carry any emotional pressure. If a situation shows up where you actually have to climb a ladder, it's easy to notice. Most modern versions of this experiment say Neville gave it to beginners as a gentle way for them to see, through real experience, how something you imagine deeply can later show up in the physical world.

WHAT IS SATS
A transitional, meditative state between wakefulness and sleep where the conscious mind is relaxed but not fully disengaged. In scientific terms, it is referred as hypnogogia.

HOW TO ENTER, INDUCE VOID OR MANIFEST WITH VOID USING SATS:
Everyday do SATS at your preferable timing. Either visualise yourself posting your success stories on here after entering void or having everything on your void list right after waking up. Visualise as if you've entered the void and manifested everything. Or visualise yourself telling your friends that you've entered void and showing them everything you manifested with void. I'd advise you to visualise the outcome.
Once you master SATS, even void is not needed. We can pretty much manifest anything with SATS.
For example: I'd visualise myself writing a success blog here after entering void, helping my friends to enter void and being with my SP, having all my desires such as my fav car, mobile, stable account, always scoring high and posting proof of it here.
Some Systems are way too trusting of hypnagogic hallucinations
You're in bed. You're drifting off to sleep. Then you hear someone say your name in your head. Maybe it feels like a mindvoice. Maybe it's just as audible as an external voice.
This must be a headmate, but you don't know who.
And chances are... it's not.
What you're experiencing is hypnagogia, the state between wake and sleep. Singlets experience this too. And when in that state... things get weird.
Thoughts stop making sense and become more jumbled. And yes, there are even straight-up hallucinations that can happen. Sometimes full hallucinations, but sometimes just "pseudo-hallucinations" that sound very much like the mindvoices of headmates.
There is a good chance that the voices you hear in hypnogogia are not actually headmates, and may be more related to voices of dream characters. You know, the natural hallucinations everyone experiences during sleep.
If a voice comes from something you never heard before while you're drifting off and you can't identify the source, it's probably just the hypnogogia. If it sounds like a headmate you know but was saying something random that doesn't make sense, ask them if that was really them. If you have good communication, they can confirm or deny it right then. And if you have poor communication and don't get a response when you ask, it's unlikely your communication opened up just for a split second right as you were falling asleep, when hypnogogic hallucinations are common, before shutting down again.
And if you're trying tulpamancy and have only ever heard your "tulpa" say a single word one time months ago while you were drifting off to sleep, I'm sorry to say that you might not have made the progress you thought you did.
This actually annoys me specifically because I've seen people recommend using hypnogogia as a means to create tulpas.
But hypnogogia is incredibly unreliable. The hallucinations produced are random. And the last thing I would want is for someone to be forcing their tulpa, experience a hypnogogic hallucination of a voice saying "I hate you" or "leave me alone" and attribute it to a tulpa too young to deny it was them.
But this is a problem for any system, not just tulpamancers. People with trauma are more likely to experience frequent nightmares which means hypnogogic hallucinations are also probably going to seem more hostile in traumagenic systems.
A voice saying something mean and hateful randomly in this state between waking and sleep, but unable to back that up while fully lucid, is probably not a headmate. Even if it feels like one in that brief moment. But the belief that it did come from a headmate can cause real harm to a system's internal relationships.
And this can lead to a lot of distress that I think could be avoided simply by educating systems on hypnogogic hallucinations as a common phenomenon.
My dreams consume me
Anyone else have this weird feeling when theyre trying to go to sleep like something is shrinking to the tiniest thing and then growing to the biggest thing ever? Its not a visual thing, more of a feeling or something you "see" in your minds eye.
Its not a dream, bc sometimes it happens when Ive just closed my eyes. It doesn't feel like vertigo or anything like that. The "impression" is like a giant, looming thing like a planet, which then shrinks down to something like a tiny apple core.
Both the hypnogogic hallucinations and this size change thing used to happen all the time when I was a kid. Now its less frequent, but the size change thing just happened today when I tried to take a nap.
It's not like something im perceiving to be in the room with me. Its like its all happening in my head. I can "feel the size change in my teeth somehow. It feels similar to hypnogogic hallucinations I used to have, but distinct from them.
Small Shifting Success Story
Ok yall so I was trying to get into hypnogogia a couple nights ago and had a couple of hypnogogic hallucinations. The first one (and the most unpleasant) was the feeling of bugs crawling on me. I knew it was probably just a trick to tell if I was still awake, but I couldnt deal with it so I re-adjusted lol. Then (and this ones actually good) I felt a tail on me. For context, in the dr I was shifting to I have a tail and ears. I couldn't feel ears though, but the sensation of spiky fur resting on my legs and butt was pretty vivid. Nothing else really happened, but that's one of the first times I've consciously gotten into hypnogogia and gotten hallucinations! So thats pretty cool. Alright guys thanks for reading, ily!

Ummm can someone tell me why every time I affirm for something (when it’s about my body) in a deep hypnagogic state, it feels as if my own body is tickling me?
It throws me so off and I am no longer able to keep myself in that state long enough to truly believe in what I’m affirming cus WHY AM I BEING TICKLED
