Summary - Spock finds his wife sick, and he is determined to take care of her. Even against her own wishes.
Kirk looked around his bridge with furrowed brows, confused on why his translator is not at her station. "Um Mr. Spock could you spare a second please?" He asked Spock quickly made his way over, "Yes captain?"
"Where is my translator?" Spock glanced over at her station and took a sharp breath in. "I have no idea sir; she was right behind me this morning. May I?" Kirk nodded, understanding his worry, it is his wife after all. Missing her shift is not like her, in all honesty it had Kirk worried as well.
Silently Spock left the bridge authoritatively striding down the halls. He comes to his and his wife's quarters and he can hear coughing from the bathroom. "My dear, are you alright?"
"I'm alright a bit sick, but I'll be okay." He opens the door to his wife sitting on the floor. Her head resting against the shower door. "Oh, my thy' la." He mused kneeling down brushing hair out of her eyes. "You should be on the bridge." She mumbled enjoying the feeling of his cold hands.
"When you weren't there the captain, and I audibly became worried. I'm glad I am here now." She nodded and pushed herself of the ground, Spock standing with her. A wave of dizziness washed over her, and she had to lean on her husbands. "Come, I'll take care of you." She shook her head, "no, we need to be on the bridge." He walked her to the nicely made bed and pulled back the covers.
"They will endure." He lays her down and pulls the covers over her. "Oh, Spock I have so much to do." She whined and he shushed her, "It is another day's problem." She prompts herself on her elbows and Spock kissed her on the head. "You need rest. I will get medicine from Doctor Mccoy, and we will have a relaxed day in."
She looked up at him with pleading eyes, and he only gave her a pointed look. "I love you." She whispered, "I love you more." He gently pushed her back down and made sure the covers were on just right. She falls asleep within seconds, and he takes her hand giving her a gentle Vulcan kiss.
He walked to his comms and range his captain. "Spock to bridge."
"Kirk here, you find her Spock?"
"I did captain, Y/n is very ill, I believe it is just a fever I will stay with her."
"Very good, I'll send Bones over. give her my best."

As the sound of your laugh met Spock's ears, he felt his pulse quicken as his eyes darted around. Spotting you in a nearby lounge room, his lip quirked as he spotted a bright smile on your face.
But as his eyes moved to the person your smile was directed at, Spock felt his stomach twist. Samuel Kirk was sitting beside you, showing you something on his personal PAD.
Spock wasn't sure why he suddenly felt, what he could only describe as, angry, as he saw the two of you so close, laughing and smiling together. He and Sam were not particularly close, but why should he make Spock feel like this? How did his mood shift so quickly?
As he looked between the two of you, a thought crossed his mind. Were you two dating? Spock was almost startled at how this thought made him feel. If you were happy, he should be happy. So why wasn't he?
"Spock?"
Spock's eyes met the curious gaze of Commander Riley's. "Commander." He greeted, trying his best to not look back over at you.
"You okay Spock? You look pretty angry."
Spock rose a brow as he tried to collect himself "I am not."
She was clearly unconvinced but just smiled softly "Alright, if you say so."
"I did say so. Excuse me, I am late for a meeting with the Captain." Spock said curtly before he continued down the hall.
Una watched after him before looking into the nearby room. Her eyes quickly found you and Sam as you sat together. Una smiled softly, understanding much quicker than Spock, what was going on in his own mind.
--- --- ---
As Spock walked swiftly down the hall and towards your station, he ignored the impatient feeling in his chest. Ever since he saw you and Sam earlier, he had been wanting to know more about what was going on between you.
He attempted to convince himself that it was solely to make sure you two could remain profession if you were in a relationship. But even he was not so oblivious to his own feelings to know that was a lie. He just wanted to know if you were together. He wanted to know if you were happy. No matter how much the thought of you and Sam together seemed to irk him.
Entering into the room, his eyes scanned around for you. He felt an ache of disappointment when he saw you were not at your station.
"Ensign." He called out to the one in your place. "Where is Lieutenant L/n?"
"Oh, they're with Lieutenant Kirk working on a project."
"A project? Which project?"
The ensign shrugged "I don't know Sir, but they should be just down the hall."
Spock nodded his head as he began to make his way to where he would hopefully find you. Were you skipping out on your shifts just to spend time with Kirk? He took in a deep breath as his chest tightened at the thought.
Hearing your voice in a nearby room, he stepped in spotting you immediately. You were leaning over Kirk's PAD, showing him something.
Spock took in a deep breath "Y/n."
You looked in up surprise as you heard your name. Spock rarely called you by your first name, especially when on duty. You felt your ears burn a bit "Yes?"
"Captain Pike wants you in the mission debriefing."
Looking at the time you mumbled under your breath as you turned to Sam. "You got it from here?"
He smiled at you "Yeah thanks. I'll show you later."
You smiled at him as you began to follow Spock out of the room. Your eyes scanned Spock's face, and you could tell something was off. His face was usually blank, but calm. Now, he had wrinkles in his forehead, and his jaw was clenched tight.
"Is something wrong Spock?"
He looked over at you briefly "No."
You looked forward, feeling a pang in your chest. Something was definitely wrong, but he clearly did not want to discuss it with you
Spock silently chastised himself for his tone as he replied to you. He was not surprised that you could tell something was wrong with him. You could always tell what he was feeling, even when he did not, like now.
After a few moments of silence, Spock could no longer hold in his curiosity. Speaking, in a tone he thought was casual, he glanced over at you "What project are you and Lieutenant Kirk working on?"
Spock's tone was abnormally monotone. "Uhm, I was just helping him figure out what to do for the anniversary."
You saw Spock hesitate in his step for a moment. He looked over at you, clearly stunned "Anniversary? I was unaware you two had been together long enough to have one."
Now it was you who hesitated, well, more like stumbled. "What?" You let out a surprised laugh "No, not mine and Sam's anniversary, his and his wife's anniversary...did you not know he was married?"
Spock now stopped fully as he looked down at you. "No, I did not."
"And you thought he and I were....dating?"
Spock stared at you for a moment "Well, I had seen the two of you recently. And you seemed close, so I assumed."
"Well you assumed wrong." You chuckled as you continued to walk "I was just helping him set up a surprise for her."
Spock watched you closely, feeling a warmth spreading in his chest, and an almost overwhelming feeling of relief. As he felt a smile begin to form on his face, he quickly pushed it down.
"That is very kind of you. I am sorry for making such an assumption without more information."
It was almost impossible not to notice that Spock's voice had lightened considerably, and his face was no longer clenched in distress.
You couldn't help but consider it had something to do with him assuming you and Sam were a couple. You looked over at him and spoke softly "It is a bit unlike you."
"Yes. I agree."
Looking up, Spock noticed you were growing close to the debriefing room. Stopping again, he looked down at you. Before he could speak, he heard both your names called by Pike, who had just arrived as well.
As you were ushered inside, Spock was forced to keep his thought for later. And forced to deal with the impatience that would come with it.
Walking out of the room, and saying goodbye to Uhura and Nhan, you were left with the odd feeling that had settled in your chest.
During the entire mission debriefing, you were aware of Spock's almost constant gaze. Every time you looked over at him, he was looking at you. The only times he was not, was when the Captain asked him a question, but even then, sometimes his eyes would flick back over to you, if only for a second.
This unsettled you, but not in a discomforting way. It made you feel shy, and almost hopeful. The way his mood had shifted from before assuming you and Sam were a couple, to after when he learned this was not true. Something changed, something you had been waiting for. For him to look at you, to see you.
"Y/n."
You felt your heart leap in your chest as Spock's voice came from behind you.
Stopping, and turning, you felt your face and ears burn a bit hotter. "Sir." You greeted, your voice small.
"I was hoping you might be free to have dinner with me tonight."
Your breath seemed to vanish as you stared up at him. "Uh, dinner? Yeah- yes, I'm free."
Spock nodded, and the ghost of a smile sat on his face. "Good. At seven in my quarters then?"
You nodded, clearly bewildered, and even more so when he bowed slightly and let without another word. You watched him disappear before letting out a soft breath "What just happened?"
--- --- ---
Sitting down across from Spock, your heart was beating heavily, your breaths almost forced to stay even. You looked around Spock's quarters, as he set a drink down in front of you.
"Thank you." You said politely as you looked down at the food in front of you.
You felt your ears burning as you realized it was one of your favorite meals. How did he know?
Spock, as if reading your mind, spoke smoothly "I inquired from Captain Pike if the two of you had discussed food, since both of you enjoy cooking. He informed me that this was one of your favorites."
You nodded lightly with a smile "It is, thank you. That's very considerate of you."
As he nodded his head lightly, you thought you saw a small smile, but it passed quickly. As you began to eat, Spock seemed to be lost in thought, so you gently cleared your throat "I have to admit, I was a bit surprised that you asked me to have dinner with you, let alone in your quarters."
Spock shrugged his head "Yes, I know it is very unusual of me to have asked. And the setting I am sure, seems quite personal. But there was a reason behind it."
You smiled "Yes, I assumed so. I hope there's noting wrong?"
"No, there is nothing wrong. Not in the sense, that I am seeking your help for anything."
You nodded softly as you took a bite of food. "I see."
"I thought the topic of conversation I wished to bring up, would be too personal to have in the mess hall."
Your felt your chest tighten "Oh, okay." You nodded, clearly perplexed.
"I lied to you, earlier today in the hall after I found you with Lieutenant Kirk, when you asked if something was wrong." You rose your brow and he continued. "Again, there is nothing wrong in the sense that I a requesting your help, though it does have something to do with you."
"With me?"
He nodded lightly "I was....effected by the thought I had, that you and Samuel Kirk were a couple. At first I thought maybe what I was feeling was due to mine and Kirk's past conflicts. But, once I learned that the two of you were not in a relationship, I felt...relieved, and even glad. It was then that I understood what I was feeling."
As he paused, his eyes locked onto yours and you were sure you stopped breathing.
"Jealousy."
You blinked as you felt your face and ears burn hotter. You swallowed and took in a sharp breath. "You were jealous?"He nodded once, and you nodded your head as well "Okay. Uhm, in what sense?" You asked curiously as you nervously played with your napkin.
Was he jealous that he thought you were in a relationship and he was not. Or was he jealous that he thought you were in a relationship with someone else?
Spock thought for a moment before realizing you were trying to find out for sure what he was jealous about. "I was jealous in the sense that I thought Samuel Kirk was with you, and I was not."
Your mouth fell agape as you processed what he said. "Oh." You muttered softly.
"This makes you uncomfortable?"
You shook your head "No, no it doesn't, it just surprises me that's all."
He frowned a bit "In a...pleasant way?" He asked cautiously.
Realizing he must be struggling to figure out your feelings as you struggled to find your thoughts, you let out a bewildered chuckle.
"Oh, yes, yes it's a good surprise. I mean, I just, never thought you would ever be interested, or even think of me in that way at all."
"I am sorry I never made it more obvious. I must confess, I was unsure if what I was feeling was romantic affection for you, or platonic, as I do consider you a friend. But after the jealousy I felt today, I understand now which it was. And I hope I can assume, since it is a pleasant surprise for you, that you feel the same?"
You were both surprised and amused in the almost shy edge to his voice as he spoke. The way his eyes were a bit wider as he talked, clearly in new territory, and almost nervous.
You smiled at him and nodded "Yes, I do."
"Then, would it be alright, for me to ask if I could court you?"
Your eyebrows shot up a bit "Court me? As in for marriage?"
"That is a common connection. But in this case, I would take notes from a more human stand-point, that I believe you would call 'dating'."
You let out an almost relieved sigh "So, you are asking if you want to date me, like, be my boyfriend? Or whatever the Vulcan equivalent is of that?"
You saw Spock's lips curl into a small smile "Yes, if you would have me, that is."
Feeling a chill run through your body, you smiled, almost shyly. "Yes, Spock, I would have you."
His smile widened a bit as he reached across the table and placed his hand on top of yours. "I am glad. I very much desire to explore these feelings with you Y/n."
You felt your chest grow warmth as he smiled at you, something you did not often see. Looking down at your hands, you turned yours over, so your palms met.
Locking your eyes with him again, you grinned "As am I."
xx End xx
Hope you enjoyed! I struggled a bit with it lol

Request: Hi, uhm can I request a headcanon with spock (star trek), and he is dancing with the reader (maybe they are confessing their feelings for each other) just if you want to write it 🙈😊
I’m sorry darling I know it’s not TOS Spock but I just had to use this gif!! @jackys-stuff-blog 😂 <3
(The song lyrics used are Wichita Lineman by Glen Campbell, one of my fave songs!)
If you enjoy, please comment, reblog and request!
As we probably all know, Spock isn’t the first person on the Enterprise you’d go to if you wanted to slow dance.
(Bones can throw some moves, that’s all I’m saying.)
But one night, after a particularly gruelling mission of dealing with Darvin and the Tribbles, poor McCoy had managed to drag Jim by the collar down for his ‘annual’ physical examination in the Sickbay. That left just you, Spock and a myriad of vast, glittering stars whispering to your heart through the glass of the Briefing Room.
Those little pearl pockets seem endless and unimaginable against the dark velvet of the Universe, and it takes you a moment to realise that Spock hasn’t retreated back to his quarters yet as well. Instead, he was still sitting at his desk, a slightly confused twitch at his eyebrows as he cocked his head and listened to the strange, old Earth music Jim had left blasting over the ship’s speakers.
(Although later he would find out that it was Bones who had chosen the music to try and set the mood.)
‘I hear you singing in the wire...’
(To be completely honest, Jim and Bones had been planning getting the two of you alone for quite a long time).
They had spent the last few months sending each other sly looks, and a few smiles and gentle nudges. They had noticed the way Spock would observe you over his tray in the Mess Hall, eyes never leaving your frame as grasped every chance, every second he could committing you to his memory.
He was trying to figure out why his ears burnt, why the pit of his stomach felt as if it had been hit by blaster fire every time he saw you even in the periphery of his vision.
For the first time since he was a child, he was scared to admit to himself that you were making him feel. It was illogical, overpowering, and still he found he didn’t want the feeling in his chest to go away.
After that, Jim would have to stop himself from smirking and giggling by the way Spock would always briskly walk over to you to check you over after a mission. He would annoy Bones to no end, bumping him out of the way with his shoulder so he could examine you instead.
Or, Sulu would keep tabs and report back on the amount of times he had seen Spock wandering down the corridors to your quarters at the end of the day, knocking on your door and waiting outside like a statue until your head poked around the hinges.
Sulu would start laughing as Spock stays silent for a second, realising there was no logical reason for him being there - he would start rambling off about how well you had done on the Diplomatic Mission that day, before turning quickly on his heels and walking off, leaving you slightly bemused by his actions.
It turns out, he just wanted to spend as much time as possible in your company.
And thus, Jim had finally convinced Bones to try and play match maker.
For a while Spock just sat there, pretending to be deep in thought, but you could see the way his eyes would flick over to you whenever he thought you weren’t looking.
And so, you took a chance and held out your hand to him.
He had seen the way Scotty and Uhura used to laugh, spinning around hand in hand during time spent on shore leave, and had been intrigued. He had always wanted first hand experience, to try and understand this human ritual.
So your breath hitched, heart nearly leaping out of your throat when you felt his fingers reach up and grip around your own.
‘That’s it Spock. Just move from side to side, just like that.’
He’s surprisingly firm, stiff and poised as if he had been practicing the way in which a dancer holds himself. Yet he’s nimble, feet light as they sometimes awkwardly bump against your own, pushing you closer against his frame as he begins to move the two of you across the square of floor available.
‘And I need you more than want you, And I want you for all time’.
You sigh wistfully, losing yourself in the song. In the way Spock’s hand clenches slightly against your back, as if he’s restraining himself from running his fingers over the dip of your spine. Of the way you can feel his warm breath against your cheek, not daring to believe that he had somehow just pulled you tighter against him.
After a moment of growing accustomed to the way his blue uniform shirt scratches against your own, you suddenly narrow your eyes in confusion at the way the tips of his ears had turned a bright shade of green.
That’s when you realise how tightly your hands had been clasped together, palm to palm.
And yet neither of you went to pull away.
He’s a little bit stiff in the hip area, but you drop the hand that had found its way to gingerly rest on his shoulder to instead stroke over his waist.
You have to stifle a laugh at the way his eyebrow hitches up at the touch.
You can feel his chin knock against your forehead as you sigh, deciding to take a leap and press your cheek against the cool material of his shirt. You nestle your side into the curve of his neck, shoulder firm and surprisingly warm against your skin.
His slender fingers dig into the muscle of your back, as if almost in surprise. Yet he finds it’s not an unwelcome one, as you feel his bangs brush against your head, tilting down to gaze at you with a surprised, but steady gaze.
‘I always knew you would be this comfortable’, you murmur against him, trying to duck further into him to hide the blush that warms your face.
He straightens back up at your words, his mind whirring in overdrive as his fingers dance over your own, whirling you out and back into his arms.
For a moment, the two of you are just standing in each other’s arms, the music muffling into the background as you look at each other.
Just two people, so madly in love.
The tension was palpable, your breath hitching as his feet drew to a stop. He seemed to be observing you, drinking in every aspect of your face, your smile, the way you held yourself, until he took a step towards you again.
‘I always knew you would be so beautiful up close. It is only logical, considering the parameters of your-’
You break off his rambling by reaching up towards him, and fervently pressing your lips against his own. You giggle at the way his eyes widen, afraid for a moment you had overstepped, until you notice the way his eyes fall shut and he leans into your touch without even registering it.
When you finally pull away, he gently presses his pointer and middle fingers against your own, letting his forehead fall against your own.
‘I really like you, Spock.’
You could feel the way he drew forward again, lips soft and supple against your own as he whispered back, ‘I too, am experiencing feelings of fondness towards you, Y/n.’
As much as you love Jim like a brother, you already make a mental note to get him back tomorrow, as you hear him and Chekov squealing from where they’re hiding in the elevator shaft.
When Spock walks you back to your quarters for the night, you bump into a very disgruntled and tired looking Bones, who grumbles about how the hobgoblin is going to get 100% more annoying now that he’s in love.
One word request: Spock - Comfort
A/N: I’m back!!! I’m so sorry this took so long, I had no inspiration and a ton of work to do. I’ll be extremely busy these upcoming two weeks, so I’ll see what I can finish and what not. Again, I’m so sorry this took so long, and also it’s not proof read. I feel like I need to put at least something out there. As always, enjoy reading!! :)
TRIGGER WARNING: mentions of death. please do not read this if this subject triggers you!
Your eyes snap open. You’re quick to notice fresh tears on your cheeks. Frustratedly, you drag your fingers across your cheeks to get them away. As you sit up, you rest your head against the wall and close your eyes.
It’s been like this for over two weeks and you hate it. You just want a good night’s sleep. Even if it’s just for one night. The nightmares started two weeks ago, when Enterprise received a distress call from another Starfleet vessel. The ship was in trouble and since Enterprise was closest by, Captain Kirk put the original mission on stop and set course for the Starfleet vessel.
When you reached the coordinates, it was too late. The ship was completely destroyed. At first, you were just shocked someone or something had destroyed a Starfleet vessel. But then you saw the bodies floating through space. Your breathing stopped at once when one of them got close enough for you to see. It was one of your childhood best friends.
You had known him for over ten years. You were high school best friends, and after you graduated, you both applied for Starfleet Academy and got it. You were assigned to different ships but you still made sure to call each other at least once a week.
But it looks like he wouldn’t be calling you this week. A heartbreaking whimper left your lips. All you wanted to do was to head to your quarters and just cry but you knew you had to be at your station. The hours after discovering you had lost your best friend were crushing and extremely hard, but you knew you couldn’t just abandon your duties. After all, you figured you weren’t the only one who knew someone of the other ship’s crew.
Ever since that day you’ve been having nightmares, barely getting any sleep. At first, you tried to put it out of your head, but that wasn’t nearly as easy as it sounds. You even went to Bones to ask if he could help and he gave you something to help you sleep, but so far it didn’t work.
You decide to get up, even though it’s in the middle of the night. Looks like you’re going to need a lot of coffee to get through the day. You put on a sweater and your boots and open the door of your quarters.
You mindlessly wander through the corridors, occasionally running into someone who was working the night shift. You simply nodded at them and continued to walk. When you walk past the doors to the mess hall, you figured you could get a snack or something to drink.
When you enter the mess hall you notice someone else sitting there. You don’t really pay attention to the crew member, given that it’s probably someone working the night shift. When you get a cup of fresh tea and turn around to go and sit somewhere, you notice it’s not someone who’s usually on the night shift.
Spock is always on his station during the day. You didn’t expect him to be awake during the night. You figured he’d try and get as many sleep as he could get. He’d probably think that’s the most logical thing one can do after a long shift.
You’d lie to yourself if you’d say you didn’t like him being awake. You enjoy spending time with Spock. He’d always be able to take your mind off things.
And so you walk over to the table he’s sitting at and wait for him to see you.
‘Y/N, I didn’t know you were on the night shift?’ he says. His eyes go up and down your body, from your sweater to your boots. ‘But judging by your outfit, I’d say you couldn’t sleep?’ he says and you nod.
‘May I join you?’ you say.
‘Of course.’ he says and you sit down across from him.
‘Can I ask why you can’t sleep?’ he asks.
You shrug. ‘It just happens.’ you say.
‘Y/N, why are you being untruthful with me?’ asks Spock and you feel your cheeks heat up.
‘I don’t know what you’re talking about.’ you say softly.
‘And now you did it again. You have a tell.’ says Spock.
‘I do?’ you say. You didn’t know this.
‘Yes. The corner of your mouth moves a little when you tell a lie.’ says Spock calmly.
You sigh. ‘Okay. I lied. But the truth’s silly. And to be honest, kind of embarrassing.’ you say. Spock looks at you and gestures for you to continue.
‘Ever since the attack, I’ve been having nightmares. I know, I know, it sounds stupid but-’ ‘It does not.’ says Spock, interrupting you. You look at him with slightly raised eyebrows. ‘No?’ you say.
‘Events from the past never leave our memory. It would be stupid to not think of memories. That would mean your memory would be dysfunctional.’ says Spock. You can’t help but to let out a small chuckle. Spock always has an answer ready.
‘It just seems so childish. I’ve always been telling myself a Starfleet officer needs to stay strong. We need to make sure the universe is at peace. I can’t break down over something as small as a nightmare.’ you say. Somehow, you’re avoiding Spock’s eyes. You’re concentrating on the cup you’re holding, when Spock suddenly rests his hand on top of yours. You instantly look up at him. This is not something you’re used to.
‘Fear is not childish. It exists in many forms, nightmares being one of them. They’re not childish.’ says Spock and you smile at him.
‘Thank you, Spock.’ you say.
‘Perhaps there is something I could do to comfort you?’ he says and you feel your cheeks turn red. Not out of embarrassment this time, but because no one other than Spock is offering to comfort you. You smile again.
‘It’s okay. This is already helping. Just talking.’ you say. The two of you are silent for a few moments. The moment is broken by a yawn coming out of your mouth. You could swear you hear Spock laugh softly.
‘You should probably get some sleep.’ he says and he removes his hand from yours. You had almost forgotten it was there in the first place.
‘Yeah, I should.’ you say and you get up. You’re a bit disappointed you have to leave him already, but this was one of the rare moments you’ve had with him, so you smile anyway as you’re on your way to your quarters.
Spock didn’t know, but he helped you. You could have sworn he felt something as well when he laid his hand on top of yours. When you get back to bed, the nightmares don’t come back that night.
A/N: I hope you like it!! My ship and one word requests are currently closed. It ended January 14th. Check my post about it for more information. Here’s my blurb masterlist.

You woke up quickly from an unpleasant dream and rubbed your eyes tiredly. You were a lot warmer than you were when you fell asleep. The time was unclear, seeing as you were in space and didn’t have sunlight to tell it. You needed to check your clock.
As you began to sit up, you felt a weight on your abdomen and you gasped. Spock had came in to your quarters sometime after you fell asleep and joined you in bed. That part wasn’t what shocked you, though. What shocked you was the fact that in his sleep he had instinctively held you. He was never much of a cuddler, and when he did cuddle you it was awkward and forced.
He looked relaxed now, though. Forgetting your mission to check the time, you slowly sunk back below the covers, trying not to wake the sleeping Vulcan beside you.
His mouth was opened slightly and his hair was tousled from rolling on the pillow. The more you thought of it, the more you realized that you had never seen him this relaxed before. His arm was still curled around your abdomen and he gripped at your shirt, pulling you closer.
If you didn't know any better you’d think that he was awake. He never did this when he was awake, though. He had to be asleep.
You brought your hand up to his face, brushing his hair out of the way so you could see him better. His eyebrows furrowed together as he slowly woke.
“Y/n?” He spoke, his voice groggy with sleep.
“I didn’t mean to wake you,” You mumbled, pulling your hand away.
You watched his expression change as he realized the position he was in.
“I apologize,” He said, pulling his hand away from you almost instantly. He rubbed at his eyes tiredly and you had to refrain from gushing out loud. It was a lot colder without him holding you, though.
“Don’t apologize,” You smiled, cupping his face with your hand again, “You warmed me up,”
He let you lean forward and kiss the tip of his nose quickly. The corner of his mouth lifted slightly as he watched you blush. He was always more emotional when he was sleepy.
“Hold me,” You mumbled, burying your face into the crook of his neck. He quickly obliged, both arms finding their way around you. You felt him bury his face into your hair and sigh contently.
You didn’t get emotions from Spock often, but when you did it was pure euphoria.
Warnings - fluff, the reader is from a original planet (called Delois it is a jungle planet, and her father is the general.) Spock almost losing control of his emotions.
"What!?" Kirk yelled in disbelief in what exactly he is hearing. His translator's father walks and tells him she quits. They came to their planet to restock supplies and now he is losing one if his hardest workers. "My daughter has asked me to inform you of her resignation. She believes that she is happiest on Delois and that she does not belong on your ship." The general said in a matter a fact tone, "There must be some mistake, Y/n she -" "Captain I am afraid it is final." He said bringing his hand up to shush the captain and leaving the room without a second word.
Spock walks in almost running into the general. He turns to his captain seeing his expression he immediately becomes more alert. "Captain, is everything alright?" A sense of dread comes upon Kirk, he knows about his relationship with Y/n. He knows that he would be crushed to learn that she wants to leave him. "Y/n's father just came in and he told me that she wants to quit the Enterprise." Spock could swear he felt his heart sink. "What!? That cannot be correct! Have you talked to her?" "No, she has been avoiding me day." "It seems you're not the only one captain, I went to her door earlier to see if she would like to go for a walk. She promptly declined and would not even open the door."
"Something isn't right here: I'll go and talk to the general you go to Y/n if anyone can get her to open her door it's you." Spock nods and leaves the room storming the halls till he falters to her room. Then doubt started to plague his mind. 'What if this is what she wants? Why would she want to stay with me? She is Delois, I am Vulcan what if she sees the illogical sense to our relationship?' He straightens even if his ideas are correct, something is wrong with her. He could feel it. He knows that she loves Enterprise and Starfleet with everything in her.
He knocks on the door and waits for a few moments with no answer. "Y/n? Are you in there?" There was a slight shuffle from the room just from the other side of that door. "Spock?" her voice was low, trembly "Y/n open the door. I have just received` distressing news." "I can't Spock." They lean on the door, their heads touching from either side of the door. "Please, Y/n I need to see you. I need to know why." She scoffed at the other side of the door. "Why? how about you tell me why!" She screams, her voice drenched in heartbreak.
"Y/n, I'm coming in." He enters her childhood bedroom. It perfectly matched her warmth. 'It was remarkable how a women can be as bright as the sun and not even know it.' Now however his sun, his star was sitting on a trunk with her head in her hands sobbing. Spock did not show emotions it was his defining trait. Y/n only showed emotions she would often have her emotions get in the way of logic. Spock in a way loved this about her it was as if they were yin and yang. The moon and the sun. Polar opposites that come together to make a beautiful eclipse.
Spock rounds the room and sits on his knees placing his hands on her wrists. Gently pulling them down, gathering her hands in his. She kept her hand down, as if she had no strength to look up. "Thy'la, answer me honestly why did you quit the Enterprise?" Her head shot up her cheeks were stained, her entire face bright red. Her eyes were puffy, and her lips were quivering. "I didn't quit! I didn't! who said I quit!" He tilts his head; she starts to tremble. "Your father told the captain that your wish to terminate your time on Enterprise." More tears swelled in her eyes. Utter shock evades who delicate features. Spock is not a man of emotion, but he can't fight them around her.
"What? No, my father said that you didn't want to be with me. So, you were going to end our relationship." Spock could not help the anger that swelled in him as if a storm. The fact that her own father would try to trap her here, end her happiness, and take away the person that would love her till the last star went out. It made Spock want to scream. He caressed her hands gently, leaning his head on hers in a reassuring Delois kiss. "I am in love with you. I do not know why he would try to cut your ties to me, but fear not I will not let it happen. You are my Thy'la. We will go back to the Enterprise and explain everything to the captain. We will not let this falter us, correct?" She looked into his dark eyes and with her signature smile. "I love you; I am so sorry I believed him." He brought her up and held her closer basking in her warmth. "I do not hold any ill will toward you, my love." "Spock?" "Yes, Y/n." "Can we please go home?" "Yes, my love."
Warnings - fluff, Spock kind of internally freaking out over emotions, (I made up the planet the reader is from and the holiday.)
Part 2 - Turak
"No, I'm telling you fencing has its advantages, you are gaining flexibility and good posture." Sulu argued trying to get Chekov to start fencing with him. Everyone enjoying the humorous bickering as they worked. "I'm sorry Sulu, but I don't see why playing with a piece of scrap metal would help with my posture." He rebutted. "Oh, those are fighting words." The captain interjected happily, "Piece of scrap metal? That piece of scrap metal is what humans survived with for thousands of years, Y/n help me out here." They all turned to her smiles on their faces.
Y/n was a quiet sweet, intelligent, bubbly girl from Delois. A jungle planet in the eighteenth system. The Delois a jungle planet where the people are very peaceful, and good worriers when they had to be. Y/n was a general's daughter on the planet and was expected to go into some sort of military program. Even though she has a firm 'no hurting anyone rule.' So, she trained as a translator for Starfleet. A loop whole that people on the ship respected.
"Why are you asking Y/n? She doesn't fight." Chekov joked, making Y/n look down bashfully. "It's true, she sneaks away from training every week." The captain says looking at Y/n sweetly. "Their right Sulu, I really don't know much of anything on fencing." She answered taking a pause in her work. "It's my understanding that Delois does not even use swords." Spock interjected not looking up from his work. "Yes, commander that's right. We use spears, but no one is allowed to use any weapons of any kind on Turak."
"What is Turak?" Uhura asked turning in her chair. "Oh, it's the most wonderful holiday. We all put down our weapons, our anger, every negative thing and just celebrate Delois. We thank the world for giving us our lives, or food, drink, everything. There are parades, and songs, oh it's just wonderful. It's about three solar days away. I am going to research some of Delois plant life and meditate for it." Y/n answered getting so excited she is practically out of her seat.
Everyone watched her wondering how someone can be so excited about something. All except Spock. Spock was watching in admiration, he may be ashamed of his emotions, but he is proud in the fact that Y/n is so prominent in hers.
The next day the first thing Spock did was go and see Sulu. "Lieutenant Sulu, I have a favor to ask you." "Anything commander." "Is it possible for you to get me a plant from the planet Delois." "Delois? Yes, I can do that. It might take me a few days. Who is it for sir?" "Lieutenant L/n." A smile came crossed Sulu's face, a cheeky smile, everyone had their suspicions on how Spock felt for Y/n. Knowing that he is getting her a present so close to her culture, is just clarification. "You know what sir; I can get it here by tonight." "Wonderful, thank you Lieutenant that will be all." Spock turned away and green blush dusting his cheeks. knowing that Sulu now knew.
Sulu worked all day for Spock, getting the plant and then making a report for them. Hours later he called Spock into his lab handing him the plant and the report. Spock went to the holodeck, making the scenery look at her home planet. "Lieutenant can you please come to the holodeck." Spock talked through the comm, "on my way." She was nervous, Spock had that effect on her. She thought he was commanding, intelligent and very intimating. That's why she knew that when she was called to holodeck she was in trouble. It's probably training, or that she hasn't taken her personal eval, cause personal questions make her nervous.
"Sir, you wanted to see me." She spoke sheepishly looking down, she did this often with Spock. He did not know why, in all honestly, he was the softest with her then anyone else. the most emotional with her then anyone else. In truth that shamed him, he should be in control of his emotions. Instead, he is losing control every time this girl walked into the room. Every time she smiles, every time she hummed sweetly down the halls, every time she would talk about something she loved, and she would get so excited she would be shaking with happiness. She is the definition of emotion and it frightened him, but he could not stop himself for falling for the bubbly girl.
"Yes, today is Turak." "Yes, sir I promise I was not going to take time off or anything. I was just going to do my little 'thanks' after my shift." "No, you are giving the day off." "I am?" "Yes, and I have prepared something for your meditating." He turned without a word and entered the holodeck Y/n right behind him. The room was its usual bland grey color when not in use, but there was a plant in the middle of the room. "Computer display code f - o - r - g - h - d - twenty-four c. please." Then a Delois Forest appeared around them. Y/n stood there in awe. Tears of joy pricked her eyes as she turned toward him.
Once Spock noticed he lost his stoic stance and ventured a little bit closer. "I hope I did not overstep a boundary lieutenant." Y/n could not keep it in, she knows she should not have but she did it without thinking she. Ran up and hugged him crying into his shit. His heart running a 10k, he awkwardly wrapped his arms around her stiffly. He has never been so close to her, and he adored it. His whole face flushed green.
"Crossed a boundary? No one has ever been so kind to me before." She cried looking up. 'Even with tears streamed down her face she was still emphasizing gracefulness.' He thought as he gazed down at her eyes, lost. "It was no trouble Sulu helped greatly, now enjoy your Turak." She let go of him and fidgeted with her fingers. Her stomach full of butterflies, and cheeks brightly blushing. "Thank you, and sir? I'm sorry for hugging you. I didn't mean to. I know touching is a big thing for you." His stern face softened for a second and went back just as quick as it appeared. "It was not a problem, enjoy your day lieutenant."
He left leaving her in utter shock, he knowing he is fulling in love, her just realizing just how Sweet and handsome he is.

Spock stood outside your quarters for a few moments as he rehearsed what he was going to say in his head. It was not often he felt nervous, but you often tended to bring it out in him, even after you had entered into a relationship.
Finally making his presence known, he waited patiently for you to open the door. As it slid open, revealing you, he felt his heart jolt when you grinned at him.
"Hello Spock."
He bowed his head sligthly "Y/n." Looking past you to make sure you were alone he met your eyes again "May I come in?"
"Of course." You said as you stepped aside.
As you watched Spock walk into your room, you noted he seemed a bit more stiff than usual. Turning to face you, his face was more stern as well.
"Is everything alright?"
"Everything is fine, I'm not disturbing your work am I?"
You shook your head "You never do Spock."
A small smile seemed to cross his face momentarily before he spoke "I believe, back on Earth it is the holiday Valentines Day."
As he said this, you felt your heart jolt a little, you had realized this, but you did not expect anything since Spock was often not aware of human holidays.
"Yes, it is."
"You seem surprised I know that."
You chuckled softly "Well I wasn't sure you'd ever really heard about it."
He quirked his brow "These past few days it has been impossible to escape it. I've heard most of the human crew members discussing it. Though, I did also now about it beforehand."
"If you are worried I'm expecting something, you don't have to do anything." You said with a reassuring smile, not knowing if he cared to celebrate at all.
He quirked his head slightly "In the past when Vulcan holidays or traditions are common, you often go out of your way to help me celebrate them. I wish to do the same for you. For Valentines Day, it’s custom for human to do something on this specified date, so I got this for you”
You watched as he pulled something from behind his back, a thin rectangular box held closed with a ribbon
"Oh." You took it gently as he handed it to you, your breath caught in your throat for a moment. "Thank you Spock."
Opening the box, you revealed a delicate bracelet with a beautiful orange stone.
Spock saw your face light up and could tell you liked it. "It was made on Vulcan, I thought you might appreciate it's beauty and craftsmanship."
"It's amazing Spock, thank you." You grinned at him as you took it out of the box.
Spock stepped forward, taking the bracelet from you as he gently held up your wrist with his other had. You smiled as he placed it around your wrist himself. When he was done, he locked eyes with you and smiled.
Stepping forward, you pressed a kiss to his cheek "Thank you."
"You are welcome Y/n." He said softly, his voice sending a light shiver up your spine. "I hope you are also free for dinner, I wish to dine with you as well."
You smiled and nodded "I'd love that too."
"Our usual time?"
You nodded "Yes."
--- ---
A few hours later, after Spock had left you and gone back to his station, you finished your work, all the while, anticipating your dinner with him.
You decided last minute to get him flowers. You were not sure what he would really think of them, but you hoped he would appreciate the gesture. Especially since he decided to do something for you.
Heading towards his quarters, flowers in hand, you received some amused and knowing looks from other crew members, as well as a cheesy joke from Erica.
As you stood outside his door, your eyes cast down at the bracelet you had put back on. You smiled as your heart fluttered in your chest.
When the door slid open, revealing Spock, you grinned at him as you handed him the flowers.
"These are for you."
Spock looked at the flowers as he took them, blinking a few times before you saw his lip quirk. As he looked back into his quarters, you followed his line of sight, spotting flowers sitting on the table.
"We seemed to have the same idea."
You grinned as he gestured for you to come inside. Walking over to the bouquet of lilies he got you, you smiled before you looked at him again "Thank you, they're beautiful."
"And thank you. I have never received flowers as a gift." He said as he stared down at the orchids you got him.
You felt a blush crawl across your cheeks, but amusement lined your face.
"That's a shame, everyone should at least once."
He met your eyes and hummed lightly, as if thinking about your comment. Turning he looked over to the dining table wear he had prepared dinner. "Shall we eat?"
You nodded and smiled as you followed him to the table.
Once you had finished eating, you sat on the floor side by side, drinks on the table as you talked. Spock, who held your hand in his, gently caressed his thumb over your skin. After a moment of silence, he spoke softly as if thinking over his words carefully.
"If I am correct, it is often that on Valentines Day, people confess their feelings to others."
You nodded "Yes, it's how many first dates happen and its the beginning of a lot of relationships too."
"We are already in a relationship."
You giggled softly "Yes, we are."
"Yet I still wish to tell you."
You tilted your head as you eyed him, your ears burning a little. "Tell me what?"
His eyes finally left your hand and met yours. He stared at you in silence for a moment before he spoke, his voice deep, but soft "I think I am in love with you."
You felt your heartbeat pick up as your breath caught in your throat for a moment. Your ears and neck burned as your chest tightened.
"And are you okay with that?" You spoke slowly, somewhat weary of his answer
Slowly a smile spread across his face "Yes, I am."
A smile crossed your face as well as you let out a soft breath "That's good, because I think I'm in love with you too."
Spock's head tilted a bit as he lifted his hand, gently caressing your cheek before he placed his fingers under your chin. Leaning towards each other, your lips touched softly as you kissed. Pulling away for a second, you kissed again deeper and longer this time.
Pulling away after a few more moments, your eyes locked as you smiled at him "Thank you for celebrating Valentines Day with me."
"Thank you for allowing me to share it with you." He replied smoothly before he pulled you in for another kiss.
