thinking about sokka and katara's sibling relationship (what else is new) and how their parentification manifests differently and how it never really goes away even when they're adults. sokka slipping cash into katara's wallet just in case she needs anything (she doesn't). katara seeing a hole in sokka's coat and taking it and mending without asking. they cant admit any of it and they wont and they cant put it down but its there and its love but its also guilt but its mostly love so they call it even

Bruce and Meredith having so much guilt over each other. Meredith never being there when someone is hurt/dies vs Bruce always being there. Bruce pushing away from playing dolls with Meredith and instead going to parties only for her to fallow him. Bruce enjoying the time they spend together at parties even though shes too young to be at them (he is too, but thats not important to him). Unreliable narrator Bruce acting like he actively brought Meredith to parties and didn't try everything in his power to keep her home everytime but ultimately deciding it was safer to have her right beside him then off on her own so letting her come.
Meredith making executive decisions for the household without telling Bruce anything. Meredith finding out Jason is alive but keeping it to herself. Meredith and Bruce feeling so guilty about each other all the time, and feeling like they owe each other something which only fuels the codependency.
Bruce and Meredith being ride or die with each other, even if they don't make the right choice for the other.
