do you think cancer would be more corruption or flesh? I’m just thinking, because disease is generally corruption, but a tumor, the idea of your own cells changing to become something else… I don’t know

Flesh, absolutely. It is not an invader, an infestation. It is your meat betraying you for unchecked and grotesque growth. I tend to classify ailments which are “inherent” to the body - that is, not caused by a virus, parasite or bacteria - as belonging to Viscera. The body is the enemy, nothing making a home of it.

It’s a little less cut and dry; poisons can still fall under the Corruption, but their inert nature pulls them more towards the End, in my opinion. It is not a living thing making your body its home uninvited, but simply a hazard of nature, uncaring, that will destroy you by happenstance of proximity.

is anything ever more than one Entity? cause I find like maybe 70% of the time there's overlap.

for example: what would the Permian Basin Superorganism be ? cause the obvious answer seems like the Flesh, of course, but it's also unfathomably Vast AND it's completely Buried underground !!

(I assume to keep posts simple you just go with the main/most obvious one, but still curious what your opinion on overlap is)

Of course, they all bleed into each other at the edges. They are not truly separate. Each peak of a mountain range might be distinct, but when you are hiking between, where precisely does one end and the next begin? Usually it is possible to say you are still closer to one than the other, but sometimes there is really no way to decide which it is.

If each Entity is mountain, then Fear itself is the ground, and between each peak are shadowed valleys.
