Am not sure if it happened to anyone else on Tumblr. But recently i got shadowbanned / glitched? I posted one of my works and had almost no traffic at all. My friends reported to not have seen me appear in their dashboards. The post was only visible on my account page and even if they rebloged it, it still would not be visible for the others. (a very small amount of people could see the post) I had to repost the work again after erasing some words from it and it seems to have worked a bit better.  I wasn’t thinking to write about it, until i heard one of my friends experiencing strangely similar thing? Now I don’t know if it affects whole account or individual works. Or if it’s something with Tumblr  algorithm or bots. Am suspecting that Tumblr might be reacting on certain words/images/links/tags and hiding the works without notifying you? Also I had no notification that my work could be in violation of the site to appeal it. I don’t want to make any mess with it and don’t have much of evidence but, just wanted to share this strange experience, in case someone else had it too. Heads up.

I don’t know if it’s semi-related but a lot of the time I can’t even respond to asks or reblog.  I keep getting a logged out message or a 504 Gateway error. :/  Tumblr has really been buggy lately, especially the mobile version.

I noticed a few things happening :

Posts with links don’t appear in searches! No matter where the link leads (this includes tumblr links) any post that has a link in it will not be visible in tumblr search results (this is probably from the nsfw ban but not sure) -_-

Posts disappear from dash occasionally! This started happening recently. While I’m scrolling through my dash some posts just poof away, usually while I’m reading them. There is no rule to the type of posts (text, image, video) and I didn’t notice anything “unsafe” in their content (one example was Zarla’s comic post, another was a plain text ask etc.) :/

Posting too many times a day can cause shadowbanning! There is an artist that is very fast in answering asks and at one point they noticed that there were no follow up asks or reactions to the posted asks. They dug around and found that posting too much can cause this… way to go dumblr for blocking the only thing that is any good on here -_-

(Not related but it’s a new bug some people might not know, don’t put < into asks cause any text after that gets deleted when you send it).

Honestly, I hate Thanksgiving. Everyone always stresses about the cooking to the point of verbal and sometimes physical abuse. Case in point I got hit and pinned to a table because my emotions got the better of me because believe it or not, work is exhausting and my brain to mouth filter is only active at work anymore. Save for that one Freudian slip of me trying to say coffee and saying cocks instead. Glad management wasn't there and the shift lead is a cool woman who got a laugh out of it. Still. Tensions are hella high right now and I'm waiting for dear old dad with his more or less insane stress of "everyone is cooking and he makes the bird and at least two of several sides". Which is fair outside of the hitting thing. Thanksgiving is a stressful mess for us. A lot of the time, I owe @thirst-for-skel my friggen life. I found her through a Facebook group. Small community. It perished, sadly. I took a lot of inspiration for The Ocarinist AU's main character from her, but she's an affectionate mix of both of us plus some shenanigans to set her apart. She's the one who encouraged my tea habits, and it's genuinely useful. Lavender and Chamomile for anxiety. Black tea for Caffeine and just enough to not hardcore slow down (I have ADD and Caffeine gets me to slow down a bit to focus unless I'm having a latte and the espresso will 100% energy boost me). Green tea for depression and when I'm getting the cough bug. Chamomile for sleep. I'm getting a pack of hibiscus for period cramps because everyone says it helps. But... I know I'm stressed and stressed bad already. And I know how alcohol affects me to a degree (I have been tipsy at most. I don't know how things will go if I'm any drunker than that), and I get giggly. So I genuinely don't know whether my dinner will be graced with tea or alcohol. Or both.

For men, yes please, we would prefer it if you avoided looking at our hair, and if we don’t have something to substitute as a hijab at that moment, anything you could lend us, a jacket, etc, would be very appreciated.

Also, since most girls avoid physical contact with men they’re not related to, please do not hug them, but rather shoo the offender away if you can, or at least escort the girl to a safe place. You can still offer words of encouragement and support. Furthermore, understand that the victim may not be very welcoming towards you because she’ll obviously be shaken, and won’t know where you are coming from. If that’s the case, please still give her something to cover herself (hijab is very important, think of it as someone ripping your shirt off) and stand some distance away until you are sure she’s in safe hands.
