i'm trying to grow a happy trail, any tips?
I'm very frustrated with the casting choice for Abby in the tlou HBO show.
While I can kind of understand the reasoning that her being buff was important for the game since she was supposed to mimic Joel's play style and act as a contrast to Ellie and since the show will mostly focus on drama and not combat it is therefore less important, I disagree. I feel like Abby being buff is a very integral part of her character because it clearly demonstrates her obsession with and intense focus on revenge from an early age. Throughout the game it becomes very clear that this same obsession becomes her downfall, as she not only does not get any clarity or emotional release from 🏌️♂️ Joel, she also loses everyone else that she's cared about. Her body build and the way it changes throughout the duration of the game's story is very important, as it signifies her character change and growth. I am not sure if it was deliberately intended that way but she has the least muscle mass when she is the least focused on revenge and ultimately gains closure by letting Ellie go at the end of the game.
Another reason for why the casting choice is frustrating is that I'm very tired of seeing male-gazey female characters with conventionally attractive body types and a full face of makeup in settings where it is unrealistic for them to look that way, such as in an action movie or a zombie apocalypse. This is why it was very refreshing to see various different body types and the main leads having muscles in the game. While I do not deny the game being vastly imperfect and problematic, especially with the current political climate, this is one thing that they managed to do well, in my opinion. Even Mel, who is a medic and pregnant throughout most of the game, looks like she could kick you ass, which is why the casting feels like such a downgrade to me. I don't know anything about Kaitlyn denver, whether she is a good actress or not, but she doesn't even look like the character that she's supposed to portray, both body type and face wise.
I didn't really care much for the show and kind of expected this to happen but it's still a bit sad.
Um, why is Zani's JP voice giving me actual butterflies? She's so pretty, help...
It's also genuinely interesting, considering that I generally don't really find anyone attractive bc I'm ace. So I guess I just have a very niche type in women (my type is basically Sevika from arcane) But yeah, her voice is really attractive to me
Hoyo, I am BEGGING you, pls release a beidou skin! She plays an important role in the archon quest (we wouldn't have gotten to Inazuma without her) and if Kiara can get a skin then so can she. It would be cool if she got a fancy outfit to match ningguang.
Jayce try not to kill a kid challenge:
the lobotomy kaisen brain rot is so bad, it's not even funny anymore... I'm genuinely contemplating reading the manga
Why does jinx have a finger prosthetic? What happened?
I really wish there was a game that let you play as a creature. Not in a horror/survival setting, just a game similar to Pokemon where you are a shape shifter and you have to go and encounter different creatures in order to be able to shape shift into them. Different creatures have different perks: for example turning into a flying one allows you to fly, a sea one allows you to swim and so on. The game would still have the "gotta catch them all" idea, just in a less traditional sense. Does anyone know any games where the main protagonist is an animal/nonhuman? I've looked but the majority of them are horror, which I don't enjoy.
I'm already aware of "Stray", "Death's Door", "Ori", "Rain World", "Hollow Knight" and "Sky: Children of the light".
If the animal crossing devs were brave enough they would have let us play as a cute animal too. Why am I the only human in the whole game? Maybe I wanna be a creature? Huh? What then?
Okay, very important question: does arlecchino's curse also spread to her legs similarly to caterpillar?
Look, don't get me wrong, I really like that arlecchino wears a suit. It's great that we finally have a female character that wears actual pants (took you long enough, mihoyo) and her color scheme does quite a lot of storytelling on its own, as it is very different from other fontanians and makes it apparent that she is, at the very least, not from there, which I love.
BUT...
Can someone please explain to me why there's still a small chunk of the map missing in sumeru? Does it have something to do with Natlan? Is khaenri'ah there?
This is what I'm referencing btw. I'm assuming it's related to some sort of quest? Maybe the khaenri'ah door?

WHY IS THE NEW WUWA UPDATE 9.4 GIGABYTES?!?!?! is this going to be another genshin situation where my phone will be fried? I'm going to commit a crime.
Also, Kuro games, please, PLEASE add controller support for mobile, I am begging you! I literally cannot perform basic combat on my phone without killing either my neck or my eyesight, this is unsustainable. Right now I've lost interest in the game because of this and only log in for major things like new banners/updates. (The last time that I actually played the game was when yinlin's banner came out)
I really wanna buy genshin merch, specifically beidou merch, as she is my favorite character. I've looked on Etsy, Amazon, as well as online anime shops that feature genshin impact and have found basically nothing. I wanted one of these "character inspired jewelry", specifically a ring or earrings. Alternatively, I would really, REALLY like her hairpiece (something that doesn't clearly look 3d printed and rough around the edges). Why is it that I can find stuff like this for ningguang but not for beidou!?
If anyone knows where I should go looking next please let me know! Shops based in the EU would be ideal.
It's really annoying to me how lacking in diversity genshin is.
There are only 3 character models (tall male/female, short male/female and child) and there's only a handful of dark skinned characters. Like, for some characters it makes sense for them to have darker skin lore wise. Beidou (my beloved) is the captain of a ship, she is always out in the sun, it would make sense for her to at least be a little tan! Same goes for the majority of the sumeru characters, especially considering the fact that most of it is inspired by the Middle East.
The reason that this frustrates and annoys me so much is that, at some point, the characters just become copy pastes of each other with different colored hair and outfits and I know that mihoyo is a company with a big enough budget to create more diverse models and increase the skin color palette.
Also something that I've also noticed which frustrates me is that most characters that happen to have darker skin are either unusable (dehya) or way too niche (Candace, rockstar girl).
The fact that we, for example, got a female character in a suit with pants (arlecchino) is progress but only bc there is so little diversity to begin with. Idk, it just makes me sad. I know that genshin is considered an "anime game" but I've seen black/brown people, as well as different body types represented in anime? I'm hoping that we at least get more characters with tanned skin in Natlan...
Also I wanna see at least one female character that is taller than the tallest male character model (this is what I was hoping arlecchino would be). ALSO GIVE FEMALE CHARACTERS SHOES WITH FLAT SOLES! DO YOU KNOW HOW DIFFICULT IT IS TO FIGHT IN HEELS!?!?!?
Why does ganondorf have green skin? Can we talk about this?
