the difference between the bats and the arrows is that ollie has more than once snapped his kids out of brainwashing/depression/the morbs by standing there unarmed and telling them to shoot him whereas if bruce tried that with 90% of his kids they would assume it was a 5D chess manipulation tactic and either shoot him immediatly to call his bluff or have an all-out breakdown (or both)

I want a Duke Thomas Signal game in the style of an Arkham game so badly. Set exclusively in a grimy, bustling daytime Gotham, with loud streets and people in buildings and on rooftops. You have light/dark powers you can cast over limited space to manipulate their sight in combat and stealth, and foresight/pastsight powers to use in detective mode. The grapnel is there, but because it's so obvious in the daytime there's more emphasis on Duke's free running and climbing. With so many people around, the challenge is in staying hidden and avoiding civilian casualties. It could be almost Assassins' Creed-esque in the stealth and combat and mystery solving.

Also there’s an entire family of bats implied to be just off screen but they’re all asleep.

thinking about that "would you peel an orange for me" trend with catshot.

floyd hands his oranges to thomas and thomas wordlessly peels them. but if thomas asked floyd to peel an orange, floyd would mess it up so bad. there'd be finger holes in the orange. it's bleeding juice everywhere. that guy cannot peel oranges. and then he'd be like "heres ur fuckin orange" and throw it at thomas. but floyd would be so flustered about it. his face would be bright red for no reason. jeannette would see the whole thing and make fun of him for it regularly.
