i know you said we ride at dawn but iām not a morning person actually. can we ride after lunch
given the current climate this pride especially i feel i must mention that i love my trans friends, i stand with trans people in the fight against transphobic legislation and those who would enforce it, and this blog is not a good place for you to be if you do not vibe with that
Fuck the grind I'm on this shit
Itās not the waking
god, i wish i could have a list of what terry pratchett was reading when he wrote Night Watch. iāve read this book almost every year for probably 15+ years now, and every year iām more impressed by the depth of knowledge behind it. of course thereās urban design understanding, but he also concisely laid out a lot of concepts in civ-mil relations, the specific difficulties of fighting in urban environments without defined combatants and noncombatants, anti-escalation conflict management, the tension and symbiosis of idealists and those working within an imperfect system needing practicality, civil society and public service, community policing⦠just to name a few, and just the ones iāve dived into myself. iām not surprised when i see this kind of writing come from like CSIS or USIP or think tanks, and of course all of terryās writing is very smart and displays good knowledge of the world, but it is remarkable to have it in a fantasy book about a time-traveling policeman in a vague les miserables backdrop, and to have it to the degree i keep recognizing more and more
āWhy are you watching it again? You already know what happens.ā Because The Character is in there, bro. THE CHARACTER
Settles down on your dashboard gingerly and with a big heaving sigh
Trots onto your dash with youthful curiosity and zest for life
sorry I canāt hang out tonight. yeah Iām busy freaking out over things that might not even happen. yeah itās gonna take a while
"Scrooge learns the true meaning of Bisexual Awareness Week" Make Some Noise Season 3 Episode 11
hey did you know??? that if you stop stretching and maintaining mobility in your body then it goes away?? things get tight and you can't move the way that you used to??? and when you decide to try getting a stretch routine going that the first week fucking sucks because you keep going 'damn i used to be able to do this no problem' and then you have to switch gears and be kind to yourself and just focus on getting better from here instead of berating yourself for dropping the good habits in the first place??? and your body never stops aging so you gotta keep taking care of it and sometimes you gotta take care of it extra in certain areas because of things that happened when you were younger and it's boring and sometimes hurts but it's so necessary???
i am yelling this at myself right now i am going through An Experience (trying to get into a routine of body maintenance again for my physical and mental health)
oh, Sisyphus! i got you
waking up cold: alright I need more blankies
waking up hot: covers thrown everywhere. sweat behind the kneecaps. 3 dead. the pillow is the sun. critical condition.
doctor just prescribed me music really loud
my knight you have to live you have to get up you have to put your hand over your wound and hold it there. you have to keep walking and walking and walking because you cannot lay down yet, itās not time. wipe the blood off your breastplate and look up into the sun. lean on your sword if you need to. lift one foot after another. get up. get up. this would be a pitiful grave.
āThis would be a pitiful graveā is now my new go-to when Iām sad or upset. God thatās fire
