Out of 19000+ followers I have, only one of you actually reblogged about this issue, yet a lot of you have reblogged and liked a picture by playboy about catcalling and that how men should never do it.
Additionally, I have received abuse in my ask box (which I will be answering when I can) and threats. In particular death threats and rape threats.
I can see the real problem here already. Male domestic violence and rape is just invisible in our society because we don’t want to talk about this because it just damages the status quo of this fucking website.

Every gender can be a victim and also an abuser. It’s important to understand that abuse is really hard to cope with and handle. I don’t think many people understand the pain and the suffering it inflicts on you, nor do they understand how fucking hard it is to break that cycle of abuse. Victims not only have to come to terms with what their abuser did, but they have to proactively ensure that they don’t continue to abuse other people that way and spread it. It is so hard, so so hard to forgive myself for the times I abused other people because I thought my abuser’s behavior was normal, and that it was an okay thing to do. People belittle the victims, they say things like “It’s not that bad, it can’t be” because they don’t want to come to terms with how evil the world really can be. It sucks, victim shaming is such an awful thing, and it leads to the worst situations. I still beat myself up for the abuse I copied from my father and let out on my brother, but there’s not really changing the past. It’s not easy to talk about, it often times makes people super uncomfortable when you share your experiences. It never stops, and I have to tell myself daily that I am a better person, and that not only did I stop the cycle but I helped save my brother, my sister and my mother from my father on numerous occasions. I really can’t emphasize enough how hard it is once it has happened to you, it doesn’t go away. I have so many trust issues and weird times in which I get super defensive because my subconscious immediately thinks I’m going to be abused in the same way, it’s awful. It makes you unable to do things you used to enjoy, especially when they held things that made you happy over your head. I still to this day cannot get any satisfaction from playing with Lego sets, and I had even forgotten what had happened with them until a year or two ago. It doesn’t fucking go away, that sense of safety and comfort once ripped away from you doesn’t come back once you’ve seen first hand what’s out there.

I’ve seen this kind of thing before and a lot of them are full of random weird shit you’d never make…because of time constraints or like, it just sounds super gross.
But this one had a whole section that’s just “Things on Toast”. Another that was all about putting crap in your oatmeal to make it better. Those are fairly pedestrian and don’t take forever.
I haven’t looked through the whole thing yet but so far it’s actually pretty practical. Also if you’re broke like me and don’t know how to make Dal, you should get on that.
