I'm just watching Fishman Island and I love how Kizaru's banner has Unclear Justice written on it. Its so funny like I couldn't stop laughing. I used to hate Kizaru for his annoying voice but it kind of redeemed it in my eyes

I remember specifically the atmosphere of this ex-marine base that was taken over by (??? pirates???) and how it was a trap & Sanji trying to disable to alarms (?) while the base is literally falling into the ocean.
I think den-den mushi's were a major part + Sanji did an Indiana Jones under-the-door roll.

After a twisted turn of events, Zoro starts out as Vivi's swordsman and ends up as Luffy's.
In which Zoro is kidnapped and sold into slavery as a child, eventually escaping and swearing his loyalty to the king and princess of Alabasta. This is an absolutely fantastic fic, but itâs very dark. Trigger warnings for rape, child abuse, and human trafficking, with realistic but somewhat harrowing depictions of trauma. If those are topics that youâre okay to engage with in your fanfics, then this is 100% worth the read.

Okay, OKAY. This fic may be my favorite One Piece fic in all of existence, I literally went feral for every update. Like, it literally has everything I could ever ask for! A short list:
1. Genderqueer Sanji. I go insane for Sanji with Gender, and this fic does a FANTASTIC job of exploring that in its peripherals.
2. A ship-wide QPR, with separate romantic and sexual relationships within that. The main ship focused on is Sanji x Zoro x Law x Luffy, but thereâs some background sanami, namivivi, usokaya, and the implication of something going on with the adult trio. But setting aside traditionally defined relationships, the whole crew loves and cares for one another so clearly in the way that the Strawhats always should.
3. A kid fic, including a well-written child with realistic, age-appropriate dialogue, and the entire crew stepping up to collectively parent said child.
4. Time for the Sanji angst now, because ALSO. Good olâ Vinsmoke Yonji comes along! And as a result, we get a fascinating exploration of the emotionally stunted Yonji, the bonds of blood and chosen family, the abuse suffered by the âgoldenâ children, the weight of conditional love, grief, guilt, and redemption.
5. Oh, and if that wasnât enough? Frequent references are made to my favorite little details in the world of One Piece. The worship of Nika, and of Luffy. Food as an offering. Introspective and insightful perspectives on every last person sailing on the Thousand Sunny. This is just a fic written by somebody who clearly has a passion for the world of One Piece, and who loves all of these characters just as much as a I do.
Basically? Please read this fic. You can skip over the smut, if youâd likeâitâs clearly marked. But if youâre anything like me, I promise this fic will blow your mind.

This is a wonderful little series that begins with Sanjiâs mostly involuntary imprisonment on Whole Cake Island, and explores the relationship between two fucked up and abused twenty-somethings who are attracted to strength and kindness.

And the Sky Will Burn by Balderdashfromafool (T)
A medieval fantasy AU, in which Sanji possesses the ability to wield fireâa trait unique to the infamous Vinsmokes. And Luffy, the personal knight of crown prince Zoro, has appointed Sanji to fill the post in his absence. This fic is inspired by BBC Merlin, and it absolutely shows! The tension between the âcommonerâ with forbidden magical powers and the crown prince, who has aâŚcomplex relationship with his father. The romantic tension. All of it is just an absolute treat :)

Ohhh boy does this fic give me feelings, having gone through my own share of traumatizing injuries/surgeries with long recovery times and loss of independence. They fucking suck, but thereâs something cathartic about seeing a character go through a similar experience, feeling the same things that you did, but with the unconditional support of their friends and family.
All this to say: this is a fantastic fic. Sanji has his hands severely injured in a traumatic battle, and is forced to confront his feelings of inadequacy as he relies on his crewmatesâespecially Zoro. Also, the sex is sweet and tender but also really fucking hot. JustâŚa fantastic fic.
