You know technology literacy is dying because I saw this meme with 76k likes
F11 the full screen button? You’re scared of the full screen button? F10?? It opens the menu bar???
Computers are so scary what if I accidentally hit F12 in a steam game and it takes a screenshot. What if I press shift + F12 while in word and accidentally save my document 😖
If you had to learn what the F keys on your computer do through me reblogging this post, then I'm glad you did. Computer literacy is not a skill that gets taught anymore, and it is absolutely one that needs to be taught in order to be learned. Don't ever feel bad for not knowing something, but ☝️ don't ever stop learning learning about your environment, the tools you use, and especially the people around you
Never stop learning+ Never stop sharing what you learned
there is no discourse between gen z and millenials. we are siblings. come on lil bro, ill take you to amc. yeah we can go there early and play the arcade games before the movie starts.
Can we get popcorn and a drink to share :)
we sure can buddy, we sure can
Why do the two reblogs read like a soldier dying in their friends arms and talking about when they’ll get back home to give them a bit of comfort before they die
because have you seen the economy and society lately
oh my GOD
Important rules for the "age verification" era of the internet that we're living in:
1. Do not do age verification.
2. If you have to do age verification, cheat. Do not under any circumstances give them your real ID.
The tool presents users with a 3D model they can then manipulate to, the creator says, bypass Discord's age verification system.
Oh no I dropped my link, what a horrible thing! Sure hope this doesn't get reblogged until it reaches users from the UK and Brazil!
And remember to not make a second account just to test out what works best when verifying your identity
A reminder that we still dont support Age Verification bullshit.
don’t forget the Australians. Those mfs can be jailed for 25 years for writing fanfic about anime characters because of a vague ‘obscenity’ law. This age verification shit is everywhere there like u have to scan your drivers license to see ANY porn site or even twitter
Real talk I'm about to just start removing the internet from my daily life. Delete my accounts, stop using anything that's not strictly necessary and go back to living offline without paying for a fucking monthly bill just to get access online
Hello skinny tgirl. Lately you've been complaining that your tits aren't growing. In front of you is a plate of food.
Unironically my tits grow faster for a few days every time I eat salmon
I should probably cook more salmon
Well yes salmon does have some fat in it! And it is good! Try and eat it with some carbs, like potatoes, or maybe blinis. Why not add some vegetables as well? Steamed brocolis, grilled leaks, roasted eggplant, and maybe some cream? That sounds delicious.
Idk who this man is but he is right. Eat girls
commas save lives,,, rip girls, you were delicious,
Girls can be eaten many times if you know what you’re doing.
No this is accurate

Water, Earth, Fire, Air.
I feel so insane about ai. I've had face-to-face conversations with people who use it for therapy, who use it to calculate the safety of pill interactions, who use it for all their emails and grant applications and legal documents and academic papers and finance sheets and for every single question they have about the world, and if you tell them about the ecological costs they just laugh and say "I guess I've used a lot of water." and I've been in multiple gatherings of 10+ people where I'm THE ONLY PERSON who doesn't use chatgpt. it's turning me into a ranting raving pariah, because how don't you people see??? why don't you understand??????? this bullshit didn't exist five years ago, you absolutely do not need it, and it is destroying everything
my friend just had an art show and they were communicating with the gallerist over email. They could clearly tell that the gallerist was using AI to respond to their emails, but just rolled their eyes and moved on.
and then on the day of the show, my friend asks, "where is the camera I requested?"
gallerist: "you didn't request a camera"
my friend: "I did, and you confirmed that you would have one here."
gallerist: "that isn't true."
and then she proceeded to pull up the email thread, and my friend could see that every single email they had sent had been summarized by AI, and that the gallerist had then had AI write a response to them based on the AI summary, and that the AI had detected that they needed a camera, and confirmed on behalf of the gallerist that they would bring a camera, but because the gallerist had offloaded the work of actually reading and responding, she simply hadn't actually made any note of it herself, therefore didn't bring it, nor did she even know one was needed.
so my friend had done all of this communication about their needs and expectations to be able to make the show possible, and the person whose job it was to read that information and get it done had simply.... not read the information and not done it. because AI.

The legacies people leave behind in you.
My handwriting is the same style as the teacher’s who I had when I was nine. I’m now twenty one and he’s been dead eight years but my i’s still curve the same way as his.
I watched the last season of a TV show recently but I started it with my friend in high school. We haven’t spoken in four years.
I make lentil soup through the recipe my gran gave me.
I curl my hair the way my best friend showed me.
I learned to love books because my father loved them first.
How terrifying, how excruciatingly painful to acknowledge this. That I am a jigsaw puzzle of everyone I have briefly known and loved. I carry them on with me even if I don’t know it. How beautiful.
absolutely obsessed with these tags
what's so interesting to me about it is that the machine version of neil isn't just eva's perception of him like we've seen with characters before, like river being seen only through john's memories. this version of neil is also his own memories, he put himself in there as complete as possible, and eva only added to it with her own perception. it's a ship of theseus situation. how much is he still himself? is it unfair to the real neil if eva continues to just... live in the memories, or create new, simulated memories with this copy of him?
obviously it's not healthy to live in a fantasy but is it still a fantasy? how 'alive' are the people in this machine? if you believe you're real, are you? if you don't believe you're real, does that make it true? who or what decides what is or isn't real?
and because he's still neil, he can't ever accept it, he pushes her away even now, because he knows she should move on... but he still built the machine. could he ever just accept the fact he was close to someone and loved her and no matter how hard he tried to keep her from getting hurt she still misses him dearly when he's gone and he still longs for connection even when he feels he shouldn't reach out. the time they had together would never be enough, and could this ever truly make up for it? should it? it's such a fascinating conundrum.
you know what i actually hope korra blew up the world on purpose not because i think she is a bad avatar (FAR from it) or because i actually believe the obvious propaganda fed opinion in the trailer for 7 havens but if there was an avatar that deserved to be able to blow up the world for how they were treated???
isolated from her culture and parents and the WORLD by the white lotus from age 5. born as the avatar in a world that was modernizing and outgrowing the NEED for an avatar. so excited to experience the real world only to realize her sheltered upbringing has left her exceedingly blind and vulnerable to political vultures and public opinion. experiencing her FIRST EVER crush in the middle of having to deal with a revolution and corrupt politicians. betrayed by her UNCLE who she trusted who tried to KILL her when she was 5 and who plotted to DESTROY her and the world. manipulated and treated like garbage and blamed when she saved the world the best way she could. ZAHEER
is she perfect? no. but neither was AANG! Aang could be impulsive! Aang could be hotheaded! Aang could be SELFISH! Aang could make mistakes! Aang was an amazing avatar but he wasn't perfect and neither was Korra and the enemies they faced were poles apart and yes, I think each one of them would have dealt with each others enemies/battles differently but not because I think Korra would be better at defeating Ozai or because I think Aang would be better at dealing with the spirit world stuff it's because Korra and Aang are two very different people who grew up in two very different worlds with their own unique challenges
on the .01% chance Korra actually did turn evil and blow up the world then I'm on the sidelines cheering her on. honestly go girl you had the odds stacked against you as a brown female bisexual character and you tried your best and these motherfuckers were still ungrateful so show them what 10,000 years of darkness and chaos really looks like
Just look at his face! The animation of this movie was just absolutely perfect!

#i wonder why surrogacy would be illegal though?
#in my mind it's such a normal thing. i can't really picture WHY people would be against it tbh.
I don't want to get into it but feel free to read the "Ethical issues" section in the Wikipedia article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surrogacy
I feel like there is some kind of German political shenanigans going on behind this meme, I beg you to spill the tea
So, during the pandemic in 2020, Jens Spahn (CDU politician and minister of health at the time) bought 5.8 billion masks for 5.9 billion Euros, wasting taxpayer money in a deal that was and is still widely critized as corrupt, and to this day he didn't face any political consequences for it.
Surrogacy is illegal in Germany, his party is against legalizing it, and he himself spoke out against it just a few years ago. Yet, he just made it public that he and his husband became fathers via a surrogate mother in the USA. This caused a huge scandal in his party, and he now had to abdicate from being his party's parliamentary leader in the Bundestag.
Hence, his party was basically saying they can excuse corruption but draw the line at using a surrogate mother to have a child.
Maybe of note is also that is he was the leader of the CHRISTIAN Democratic Party, who are pretty conservative all in all (Spahm himself said he thinks conversion therapy is okay for adults who choose it)
So in my mind, there's no doubt that this criticism isn't entirely about surrogacy, because as stated, his colleagues sure didn't mind the (likewise illegal) corruption. I think it's based in homophobia
