In Australia it’s is estimated we use about 1 billion disposable coffee cups a year. They’re not recyclable and end up in landfill where they take years to break down if they do at all. Late last year many take away coffee outlets took up the challenge to rid the country of disposable cups by allowing customers to bring their own reusable coffee cups and offer up to a $1 discount for doing so. However the OTR board announced today they would no longer accept reusables due to health reasons. Take a stand and bring your own cup! 🚯☕️

I really worry about how many people in their 20s are just constantly tired all the time. It is absolutely not healthy for people to be worked so hard that every single night the second they come home they are so physically shattered they only want to sleep.

The one in three campaign aims to raise awareness of the growing incidences of male victims of which majority of cases are emotional abuse. These little guys are part of a much bigger plan to stop the use of wrappers used in kids school lunch boxes. Over 50% of school lunches in Australia use an excess amount of plastic/paper/foil wrappings. Many schools now are adopting the nude food initiative which involves bring food in reusable containers or in their own skins. So be a nude food warrior this week and ditch the wrappings for something more reusable. 🍐♻️🍊

Mice, rabbits, rats and guinea pigs are just some of the animals used to test cosmetics prior to market. All that could of happened in the testing process is putting some mascara on their backs however once that is done so is their life. To help stop this you can sign The Body Shop’s petition to Ban Animal testing across the globe. 🌍🐁🚫

The more you know. It’s time to make a change. Abstaining from disposable products if preferable and replacing with reusable items is even better but if you do have to use disposable/one time use products think before you ditch. Our oceans are not rubbish dumps. 🤔🚯

Over the past two years the NSW government has been trialling the use of shark nets to protect surfers however the results have been devastating. 98% of the wildlife caught in these nets were not the intended targets and many unfortunately dead. This is not a solution but how would you like it if a stranger walked into your house? The sharks are just reacting how anyone would when they feel threatened. 🦈💙

Even in cases of rape, child sexual abuse and incest, or fatal foetal abnormalities a woman can’t access a termination of a child due to the laws of the 8th amendment. This week in Ireland they are looking to change this so that at the time of conception the life of the foetus and mother are considered as one. What are your thoughts?
