I love how in ATLA all 4 nations are basically governed by teenagers in some way (mostly Azula, 14/15 BTW)

Aang (12/13) is the only Airbender left at the time so if he's in charge if himself he's in charge of all Airbenders. He is also the Air Nomads' only representative left so he's in charge whether he likes it or not.

Aang is also THE AVATAR, which comes with quite a bit of political power.

Sokka (15/16) is the Entire Southern Water Tribe Military (self proclaimed) for like 2-3 years.

Suki (15) is in charge of the Kyoshi Warriors and is enough of a threat to be put in Maximum Security Prison.

Azula (14/15) topples Ba Sing Se (and the Avatar) and is temporarily in charge of the Secret Police in the Biggest Nation's Biggest City.

Azula (14/15) is Fire Lord for about 10 minutes

Zuko (17) becomes and REMAINS the actual Fire Lord for Decades

And, of course, Toph is Just In Charge. She is not Toph. She is Melon Lord
