has anyone made a glove out of the lionbrand scrubby yarn & used it for scalp exfoliating? does it work or is that just gonna make a bunch of hair knots?

bad damian comic: tt…. father still disapproves of me… i’ll never be as good as the other robins like grayson and todd and drake. it must be because of the evil running through my blood…. perhaps i was never meant to be his heir
good damian comic: (on the other side of the planet from gotham) slade wilson i will direct wire you $1 million dollars right now to go fuck off you limp dicked old bitch

my mom just came to me and ranted about how everyone is making this facebook status that says, “raising teenagers is like nailing jello to a tree”. she was so baffled by this because she said, “you were pretty easy to raise as teenagers. all you did was sleep and eat.”
so to prove some point she’s going to nail a small cup of jello to a tree.
she’s so pleased with her self
incredible
parents are weird
yeah but this is about as accurate as it gets.
you say “nail jello to a tree” and most people think jello all by itself.
but if you put any actual thought into what you’re doing and then give it just a little support
well gosh. look what happens.
please tell your mom good job.
also love how the original metaphor of “nailing jello to a tree” is about trying to force your bizarre and arbitrary will on something that is categorically disinclined to do such a thing, for no conceivable reason.
“Generically medieval”, by which we mean our peerage is French, our castles are German, our weapons are Italian, and everybody speaks English.
you can have religion in one of 2 flavors: “woo hoo aesthetic garnish” and “Sinister State Control in Bad Allegory for Problems in Modern Christianity”
Also, the latter is aesthetically French Catholic, theologically German Protestant, and has the institutional structure of the Church of Scientology.
not to mention that this land is simultaneously inhabited by thinly modified northern vikings (Nordic pre-medieval/9th century), travelling mongols (European medieval/13th century) and a wealthy italian merchant family with a house full of oil paintings (Southern European renaissance/15th century). the dance of the day is waltz (refined German 18th century country dance).
But it will only actually be called inaccurate if an adaptation chooses to add a Black person.
you cannot make a post about how men put women in certain boxes without someone going "but what if i love the box? what if i've decided that it's comfortable in the box? are you gonna tell me i'm not ALLOWED to like the box? not very feminist of you to police a woman's decisions... maybe you'd be less ugly and miserable if you stopped talking about the box LMFAO #Girlboss #MyBox<3"
"Batman can have his no kill rule but other heroes should kill. Like, Oliver Queen should kill."
So, a man among the 1% should be killing whoever he thinks deserve it, abusing his power.
"Wonder Woman and Superman should kill"
So, two beings who are not humans, and way more powerful than humans physically, should be able to kill any human they think deserve it. Wonder how people would feel safe with them.
"Jason should get to shot people in the head"
So, a white man can go shot and kill drug dealers, like the cops aren't enough. Wait, this one is working outside the laws, so he cannot even be punished.
"Heroes that don't kill are pushed unto us to try to manipulate us into not using violence to fight back against oppression and the system."
3 words: you are stupid. Killing people labelled "criminals" is peak fascism. All humans life is sacred, even bad people's lives, is the base of the human rights. Fights against the death penalty and cops having the right to murder are done by leftists. I just have no words for how stupid y'all are.
I offered to come check on my friend's animals while she's away for the long weekend
She thinks I'm joking
But I'm ready
Wait. Are there 200, but to be numbered 1-250? Did I read those tags right? 😲
Yes there are actually 202 of them, the company sent 2 extra in the package, and I will be numbering them on the bottom with sharpie marker 1-250. This will ensure even if she manages to find all 202, she will never truly stop feeling like there might be a tiny duck somewhere unknown in the house. Lurking. Waiting to appear at the strangest time.
#sometimes you must be gently evil to your friends#so they know you love them enough
very very important
hey op i don't think those are frogs like you said
they're right those arent frogs op.
I meant to prank my friend by hiding hundreds of small ducks after saying I would hide small frogs, but it turns out due to some quirk of only 3 people on the entire Internet knowing what a prank is, it seems I have pranked hundreds of other people by saying I would put 100 small frogs in my friends house, when in fact the prank was that it was 202 small ducks.
an update. it has been over 4 months and they are still finding ducks
1 year and 7 months later:
#imagine the dread she felt when she found the first duck and realized op wasn't joking (via @robyn-goodfellowe)
The key to a good prank, imo, is that the person you're pranking should not feel bad. They should feel delight. My friend has 2 kids. She walked in the door from her vacation, and instead of having two cranky children to deal with as soon as she got home on top of everything else, she got two children excited to run around finding small ducks. My friend knows me well enough to know that when I say weird things there's always a chance I'm not joking, and she would have said no (and been respected) if she didn't want this. The prank was never that I was hiding the toys, just which toys they were, and how many would be hidden.
i hate how much ai has taken the joy out of seeing something cool. you used to see something cool, like a really intricate drawing or a video of someone doing an insane skill or two animals doing something cute, and because there were no mental gymnastics involved in discerning whether or not it was 'real' you could sit there and have the joy of like, "wow! how did they do that! how cool is it that they made that! what a wonderful moment to have captured!" and now every time i see something remarkable i hate that i have to sit there and be like okay let me go frame by frame to make sure everything lines up. let me double check the page this comes from. let me scroll through the comments to make sure no one called out something i missed. like i want the joy of being able to trust someone else's creation back, please

“It’s barely even bruised.”
Bruce hmmed, still leaning against Tim’s doorjamb. Alfred, behind him, was giving even less away. There was a possibility he was in trouble. That possibility was growing less and less likely with every second of silence.
“It isn’t bruised yet,” Alfred corrected over Bruce’s shoulder. “It’s swollen.”
“It’s just going to stay swollen,” Tim said defensively. “Don’t freak out, okay? I’ll figure out a way to cover it up. I’ll borrow some of Steph’s makeup or something.”
“Freak out,” Bruce repeated, monotone. That was a bad sign.
“Please,” Tim begged. “It was a solo thing. You don’t need to — intervene.”
“Intervene?” Bruce’s eyebrows lifted, breaking the mask-like expression on his face.
“You always do that. You go behind my back and you just—” Tim trailed off, exasperated. “Intervene!”
“I’m not intervening,” Bruce rebutted. He turned to look at Alfred over his shoulder. “Am I intervening?”
“Certainly not, sir.”
“Do I plan to intervene, Alfred?”
Something charged passed between the two men, unspoken. Alfred cleared his throat. “That would be ludicrous, sir.”
“See?” Bruce turned back to Tim. “I’m not intervening.”
Alfred inclined his head. “With that settled…”
Tim’s eyes narrowed, watching the butler depart down the hallway. “What was that look?”
“What look?” Bruce asked innocently.
“That look you just gave Alfred.”
“I didn’t give Alfred a look.” Bruce’s eyebrows twitched. “I barely even glanced at him.”
Tim pressed his lips together, frustrated. “So where is Alfred going?”
“I couldn’t tell you,” Bruce said, shoulders rising and falling.
“Of course you can.”
“I haven’t the foggiest.”
“Bruce.”
“You asked me not to intervene. This is me — not intervening.”
“Bruce.”
I love my bicycle <3
i think the hardest i’ve ever been owned was when my boyfriend and i were talking about our favorite feelings/sensations and he was like “my top 9 out of 10 feelings are sex with you” and i was like “aw baby🥺🥺🥺. what’s the tenth one??” and he didn’t hesitate even a little before saying “sex with your mom”
Good news!!!
I did!!!
miss sara bareilles i'm so sorry i didnt realize who you were, 'once upon another time' is amazing. she was fucking 5 ft back from the mic on a live performance on a song that starts w her humming wtf
i'll never get over how fascinating eliot's characterization as a hitter. obviously he's trained- military, hand to hand, weaponry, martial arts- that's to be expected. but so often I think in media about like. the Best Hitters in this genre and etc they're characterized by like? not getting hit. they're sooo good that the avoid every punch and catch every kick in mid air and dodge bullets and etc and that's not Eliot at all. he lets himself get punched in the face. he gets kicked and bowled over and uses that shift in momentum to his advantage. he gets knocked to the ground and the guys he's fighting think he's down for the count for only one moment before Eliot Spencer gets back up. because he always gets back up- but that character trait is Only compelling IF he gets knocked down enough for it to MATTER. and he DOES! and his fighting skills- they're not innate, they're not a natural inclination to fighting, its training and knowledge- he can talk about details and styles at length, he can (and does!) teach the others how to take and throw a punch, which speaks even more to his skill and knowledge and ability. he's the hitter because he's been doing it so long. because he fights to survive and he isn't afraid to get hit and lose the fight to win the battle. god. Eliot Spencer. character of all time
#theres a post somewhere about Parker and how shes so brilliantly written to subvert the expected cat burglar femme fatale archetype#which. obviously. parker leverage love of my life character of all time I love women with autism#but also<3 give a little space for Eliot <3
It's like the writers went "The Worf Effect ruins itself if overplayed? Not if our Hitter never actually loses" and they are absolutely correct. As we see with Quinn in the hanger fight, it is almost *more* intimidating that Eliot refuses to stay down than if he never went down in the first place. Other hitters may be good and hit hard, but Eliot knows himself far better. He knows exactly how much punishment he can take, and that he'll still be able to dish his share out before the end.
#also he's hot. hello slutty tank tops and hair flips. I'm just a girl.
Also this, yes, can't forget this. Hot men with slutty tank tops & hair flips is already good. Add on blood, sweat, and dirt? Top tier. How nice of the Leverage writers to bless us with such delicious eye candy on the regular.
Grace mentioning to Rocky that he used to watch his ship every evening after they parted ways (and do complex math to figure out when he's going to lose sight of it completely). Grace is. a little bit embarrassed about the whole thing.
Rocky is ecstatic.
"Grace watched Rocky sleep, question? Even though we were apart??"
"...yeah. Yeah, pal, I guess I did."
