I rarely became active here in tumblr and whenever I am active It never really get past posting the stories I have in my draft. I've been posting here in Tumblr since 2023, so about 4 years now hehe, and I still feel really guilty for not being able to write the stories I would really love to start and wasn't able to continue for long pauses because of personal reasons.. Summary: Dr. Grace, a scientist woke up in space alone, with no memory intact. Discovering the situation, he needs to know why he is here in space. Along the way, he starts remembering some parts of his memory, about the middle school, him being a teacher, a dying sun, to being recruited into the "Project Hail Mary" and so on. Through out his journey in space and to the planet "Tau Ceti e" he will uncover the hidden mystery of this planet and why is this the only plannet not affected by the Astrophage "a star eater". Outside the planet's orbit, he met another lonely voyager, whom he interacted with, and will become the most important friend he will have. After trials and success in communicating within each other, "Rocky" Grace's new found friend, together, will have such a beautiful,tearful, and inspiring friendship you'll ever see.
My Review(opinion): spoilers!!
Such an amazing movie, from the thrill and mystery in the beginning of the movie to the very inspirational and optimistic end! I can safely say "A must watch" The movie will make you cry, laugh at the jokes and even wonder on how they will be able to solve the problem about the Astrophage. Another thing about this movie, it talks about sacrifice, what it meant to feel "home", loneliness, self doubt, courage, friendship, and many more when you watched it. I haven't read the books yet, for now I will only review the movie.
What I like about this moive? Everything, from the cinematography, the actor and how all them was able to deliver their emotions well, delivery of the jokes, and some unforgettable funny hit on jokes through out the movie. I also love how they was able to deliver such deep meaning into the movie, it didn't stray away from the main goal, it connects, after the finding the reason why the "Tau Ceti e" the surviving planet is saved, its because of "life". There's so many lesson you can learn from this movie such as "friendship" what it means to "sacrifice" whether for the betterment of all or for yourself, and I love how in the end Grace choose to be with Rocky!! Humanity on earth will be greatful but if the ending were Grace choosing to go home and forget about rocky i think he will 100% be guilty and regretting about his choices. And to think Rocky have been lonely for 40 years? or 50 after his other friends died in the book, I dont know the details but thats really lonely for a being who age slower:< Rockkyyyy
Last and final take, I really like how well mixed and the world building for the movie is shown. All the sci-fi, distopian, comedy, adventure, and drama. Another thing to love about this movie is the way they potray the difference between how humans treated Grace and how Rocky treat Grace. Rocky understands Grace and Grace also ressonates with Rocky, knowing that he may not fully understand him at first through loneliness and the need to save their panets it overides the fear of the possibility that Rocky could be a bad. Their bond leads to the point where they need to make choices whether to sacrifice between their friend and themselves. It shown in the movie a lot of times how their bond is tested through trials, through by any means to "sacrifice" to risk themselves and save one another. What it means to have such a good friendship, Rocky may not be human but he treated Grace humanly than any other human could. if you compare the time when grace was chosen to examine the Astrophage and he asked whether they wanted him alive or not the answer he got was "prefer to not die" then compare it when he was with rocky that he specifically asked for Grace "to not die". (And yes you can say to me that through out the movie the humans does change and not all of them are bad towards him, and I agree with that, My point is, it's just different how they treated him.) Grace is a round character, means he did develop into a better version of himself, He keeps thinking that "he's a coward"., "he's not brave" that "he's a nobody" but he also proven himself wrong a million times through out the movie, Thanks to rocky, he cares about rocky that he isnt scared to sacrifice himself for him. He isn't scared about not coming home to earth for him, because he cares for Rocky, he also know he can't do both, he persevere and choose what he think is right. There is so many part of the movie where you can see Grace's growth, to many it may not matter, but for me It shows lessons. Grace as a character before going to space is shown to have a lower self esteem and also self doubt. But towards the end of the film, he changed, you will notice him less criticism himself, (maybe because he doesnt remember who he was) could be a variable. Though when he did remember, you can see his change, he's conscise, he's clear about his goal to save rocky, he didn't even stutter or doubt about it. Dr. Ryland Grace was willing to be with rocky, even when he doesnt even know if it's the last, he wants to be with his friend.

Because he always have a guinea pig of a human for him to dissect (torture) when he needs information, duh.
Yes, The "WHY MAN" is none other than a College science major student, always have a book in his hand, ethier about the space or something new in general.
of course no one would suspect a young college man who always in his lab to be a famous mafia underworld.
Let's just say you are unlucky, being at the wrong place in a wrong time.
You are walking home at that time, late at night nothing really new since you are used to it. always staying up late to finish some data gathering for tomorrow's experiment that you usually do whenever Finals is coming.
As you are about to leave you go get your Red coat since it is already late in the night. It always become chilly when you are on your way home.
You walked in your way home like usual. You looked at the scene as the nightly sky sparkled up above you. Without you watching and noticing someone running towards you, you accidentally bumped into someone.
She wore a Red coat like yours but something about her demeanor... panicked? and her facial expression bothers you. Before you can apologize she bolted and runs as fast away from you.
You looked down and saw that she left a package on the ground.
You picked it up and walked on the police station post office to leave it there. You don't want to be entangled by what is inside so you logically think that you'll just left it there in the Lost and found office.
But as you are about to approached the nearest Police station you just suddenly felt like someone grabbed you and then knocked the hit out of you.... And you lost consciousness____
The next thing you know, groaning in pain as you feel restricted. You can't move... You tried looking around. Nothing. You are blindfolded.
You tried to move or even break free from what restriction you are under. But to no luck, you can't even move an inch.
You can hear muffled voices who seems like ... arguing?
Then in a matter of seconds your blindfold was taken off and you suddenly tried to adjust your vision to the bright room.
There you saw 2 guys, they seem...familiar?
One smiles at you, his hair is unique in your opinion. it's half between White and black, he have this smile in his lips as he leaned close.
"sooo where did you get this dear?" he asked as he hold the box that you where about to leave in the police office.
So you tell them the truth "A girl left it on the ground and bolted our of there..."
"Ahhhh~ I seee~ is that so? did you look inside?" as he played with your hair
"no... I was about to just left it in the police office"
"good~ nice" he chuckled then leaned back, satisfied with my honesty.
"did you know where she is?" as he handed the box to a blond guy beside him opening the box

For a while they left you after answering some questions.
Then next one who get inside the room shocked you. It was none other than your Lab science Partner, Senku.

"what....huh?" as you looked at him STARING I mean yes you are tied up right now but you can't pass seeing him... In that! His suite hugging his lean body and welll define hands in that hands of him where you always ended up staring when he starts another experiment.
"we can't let you leave now" you see a smirk in his lips while looking down at you.
"why?" was the only things you can ask
"You will be stuck with me for a while until I capture that damn theif." as he grabbed your chin holding between his thumb and point finger as he looked down on you
"you can't leave until then" as he leaned close "partner"
He have been good at hiding his identity until now. Who would have thought that the person that his people should have captured was none other than you?
It was never meant to be you, but when he got in he was shocked to see you sitting there unconscious.... Did something in him. Unconscious ... Sit pretty in that chair... So instead of letting you go, why not. Just make you his new partner?

Gen - A bartender whose role is a secret information gatherer in the group and a psychology major student in the morning.
Ryusui - The rich boy student of the Business Major. Who is also WHY MAN's partner in the business world, all the locations for all the illegal exchanges happens in all of his hotels, Restaurant, All his establishments.
Ukyo - An assassin in the group. In the morning he is working in his Education English major. The quiet yet popular English major.
Chrome - The groups new comer but have the best useful comarades to join. In the morning he is a another Science student major but the difference is, he chosed another type of science they are talking about.

So here you comes in and takes over the job of taking care of suika and the house when he's away. IMAGINING HIM WITH GLASSES??? I CAN'T!! anyway like years or in a year you're both so comfortable with each other now, that slow care you give him when he's tired from work and research that he doesnt even notice his mistakes at times because he push himself too hard and is grateful that you're there to correct his mistakes when he made one. Even HAS THE AUDACITY TO SCOLD HIM!? SENKU? SCOLDED?? YESSS! So don't count me surprise when he started to lean more on you against that KITCHEN ISLAND!! those small touches that he doesnt bother before started to rutt in his mind. I just can't CAN't STOP THINKING about stanley and xeno being this unhidge gay couple as your NEW neighbor, like at first they tell you that they AREN'T A COUPLE just B.E.S.T. F.R.I.E.N.D.S like you WOULD BELIVE THAT!? for goodness sake you can hear them doing unholy things more than best friends could! SO you made a noise complain when in one time in your most busy evening worktime ended up being interrupted by their own noises. WHICH MADE YOU horny YES but at the same time ANNOYED by how you can't concentrait by the noises. THIS LASTED FOR A YEAR of ENDURANCE by the way
Once they heard about your noise coplain who would have thought that they would back down or apologize to you after hearing the complain. NEVER!! THATS A LIE. instead they offered you a THIRD PLACE?! the hell?! LIKE WHAT?!
