I wasn’t planning to ever talk about SPN again, but since I’ve become a Wiccan this rant has been bouncing around my head, and I hate that very few people have talked about this

Basically, I am a wiccan/pagan who works with the Greek Pantheon, and I fucking HATE how SPN treated the gods, to the point that I have to make sure other people are aware of how fucked up it is

They fucked them up in multiple ways, and it is gross af imo:

1. They made them all be evil cannibals/human-eaters, just like they do every other non-human species in this show. They absolutely do it to try to justify their precious Hunter protagonists murdering anyone who isn’t human, and also because they think that making the monsters eat humans makes them spookier. I hate when they do this just in general, but it makes me 10 times angrier when they do it to literal gods!

Like sure some gods did shitty things(cough cough Zeus), and for all I know some gods from some cultures did eat humans, but non-christian gods in general aren’t evil monsters who eat people! They wouldn’t be worshipped the way they are if that was true, and making them like that is disgustingly offensive to all the irl people who worship/work with/follow them!

2. They not only made the gods man-eaters, they made them that way to set them up as villains/antagonists for the Hunters. I mentioned this on point one, but I’m mentioning it again, to point out how they quite literally villainize almost all of the non-christian gods. Like, other than one or two(who are only not villains because they help the fucking Hunters, and one isn’t even a real god!), basically all of the non-christian gods are portrayed as evil villains, and nearly all of them are killed for it!

Because the gods were made antagonists to the so-called ‘heroic’ Hunters, that also means that they show said Hunters fighting, and even killing, the gods. This is also offensive and kinda fucked-up; having the gods be killed by humans like that, and more than that having these mortal monster-killers policing the literal gods the same way that they do all other nonhuman/supernatural species! Not that I agree with the Hunters treating the other supernatural species that way either(I hate it actually!), but it’s even worse with literal gods who are worshipped by actual people in the real world!

3. They made the christian god more powerful than the non-christian gods, and made him the ultimate creator-of-everything god. They even imply that he created the other gods!

Yes, the christian god/Chuck is portrayed as a villain, but regardless he’s still portrayed as the most powerful being in creation and the one who created everything! So him being evil doesn’t excuse this shit!

There is no reason that he should be more powerful than the other gods or be the one who ‘created’ them imo. It’s also grossly offensive and bigoted to anyone who worships the non-christian gods, paints the christian god as ‘better’ than all the other gods, and tries to force other religions’ deities into a christianity-centric universe/viewpoint in a very gross way!

4. Related to my last point, they made it so that even the christian angels are more powerful than the non-christian gods! It’s bad enough that they made the christian god more powerful than the other gods, but even his children/underlings are stronger than any non-christian gods in this fucking show!

Lucifer, who is a christian angel(fallen or not he’s still an angel in SPN lore) attacked and absolutely wiped the floor with a whole room full of non-christian gods! He killed them all without even breaking a sweat, meaning that he is stronger than any of them.

And no, I don’t care that he was a villain and Doing Villain Things! It’s the same as the Chuck thing, where them being portrayed as evil/wrong for what they did doesn’t matter, because their morality doesn’t change how they were pushed as so much stronger than the non-christian gods!

5. One of the ‘gods’ in the show, and basically the only ‘good god’, wasn’t even a fucking god! They made another fucking christian angel(Gabriel) disguise himself as Loki, and for most of the show he was the only ‘Loki’!

Yes, I know that Actual Loki is introduced eventually, but still for most of the show the only ‘Loki’ was a fucking angel. It also doesn’t change the fact that basically the only non-evil ‘god’ wasn’t a god, and was actually a christian religious figure in disguise! Which is gross!

So, to summarize: among other reasons that I hate this fucking show, the way they treated all of the non-christian gods makes me sick! I’ve felt this way since before I became a Wiccan, but actually worshipping some of those gods just makes it that much more appalling to me!

Everyone Got Fucked Over In The New CRK Update

Anyone who is remotely a fan of one of the main characters, or basically any character with a rarity tier higher than Super Epic, got royally fucked over in the new update!

SPOILERS FOR COOKIE RUN BEAST YEAST EPISODE 15 BELOW!!! ALSO TW FOR TALK OF S*CIDE!!!

White Lily Fans got fucked over

She literally fucking died, and after having been suicidal at that! IMO her death scene was heartwrenching and kinda pretty, but it fucking sucked and it sent a bad message to the kids playing this game. Like kids media shouldn’t be saying that suicide is the only way to atone/be free! And if you ship PureLily, you sort of won, but did you really? The not-a-confession ended with WL dying and wasn’t even explicitly confirmed as a ship, like an m/f version of the tragic gaybait ships of the 2010s!

Dark Enchantress Fans got fucked over

Her big plan turned out to be convoluted and weird, her terrifying new form only lasted for a short time before she was defeated, and she died at the end too!

Ancient Fans got fucked over

The Ancient Heroes were all sidelined and useless in the final battle, just to cater to the Epic Cookie Fans and to shoehorn in the new Legendary! We never got to see them react to any of the stuff that happened with the Beasts, and those of us who wanted to see them redeem/romance their Beasts were shat on even more than normal Ancient Fans! And of course White Lily fucking died and PureLily became the less toxic m/f version of fucking destiel!

Beast Fans got royally fucked over

If you liked ANY of the Beast Cookies, but especially Eternal Sugar, Mystic Flour, and Burning Spice, you basically got shat on in his update! Eternal Sugar, Mystic Flour, and Burning Spice were all sidelined through the whole final battle, and basically just existed to moan in pain as they were beaten up, killed, and their powers were absorbed! Silent Salt also died! And Shadow Milk was turned into a shell of what he once was, and now more of the fandom hates him! And all of the redemption arcs that were hinted at in the earlier episodes were all thrown in the trash! All of us Beast fans got stabbed in the back by DevSisters with this new update, and i fucking hate it!

Silent Salt Fans got fucked over

Silent Salt fans had to watch their favorite character die, while his biggest nemesis got to live! Their only comfort is that at least Salt is with Elder Fairy again :(

Shadow Milk fans got fucked over

Yes, our boy lived when the other Beasts didn’t, but at what cost? He got turned into an almost unrecognizable character, with some of the worst character assassination I’ve seen outside of bashing fics! The redemption arc that was hinted at back in episode fucking 8, and then teased AGAIN in 13/14, was all just thrown away! He doubled and tripled down on being an evil asshole! He was made to do things that o.g. Shadow Milk would never have done! And because he was used more than the other Beasts and turned into the new Big Bad, like half of the fandom turned against him and blames him for the shitty writing in this episode! I honestly would’ve been less angry and fucked up if they had just killed him off! So I don’t think we really won, and at least to me SMilk Fans were fucked over just as much as the other Beast Fans!

Legendary/Guardian Fans were fucked over

The Legendary Guardians were sidelined in the final battle, and basically just helped GingerBrave fight at the end! They were also nerfed, and made basically useless against Dark Enchantress! And Sugar Swan was shoehorned in as a Deus Ex Machina, pissing off both people who liked her from Ovenbreak and people who wanted to see Millennial Tree and the other Legendaries shine!

Epic Cookie Fans didn’t come out too well either

Dark Choco was absent, despite him being the son of one of the Ancients and a former Cookie Of Darkness! The Beast Minions were basically nonexistent, and we didn’t get to see them react to anything that happened! And even the epics that were given their time to shine(other than Espresso) were all killed, and then brought back with a Deus Ex Machina that no-one likes!

Even Gingerbrave Fans were unsatisfied with this ending

Yes, he came out of this better than most Cookies, but his role was kinda boring, and he didn’t even get to actually fight The Ultimate Cookie

Basically the only fans who won were the Espresso Fans

He took over like half of the episode, to the detriment of other characters’ stories(like the Beasts)! And tbh, while he was somewhat cool, I’m not much of a fan of most of the Epics, and I was annoyed that the Beasts were fucked over in the name of giving this guy more screentime

So I don’t think we really won, and at least to me SMilk Fans were fucked over just as much as the other Beast Fans!

Legendary/Guardian Fans were fucked over

The Legendary Guardians were sidelined in the final battle, and basically just helped GingerBrave fight at the end! They were also nerfed, and made basically useless against Dark Enchantress! And Sugar Swan was shoehorned in as a Deus Ex Machina, pissing off both people who liked her from Ovenbreak and people who wanted to see Millennial Tree and the other Legendaries shine!

Epic Cookie Fans didn’t come out too well either

Dark Choco was absent, despite him being the son of one of the Ancients and a former Cookie Of Darkness! The Beast Minions were basically nonexistent, and we didn’t get to see them react to anything that happened! And even the epics that were given their time to shine(other than Espresso) were all killed, and then brought back with a Deus Ex Machina that no-one likes!

Even Gingerbrave Fans were unsatisfied with this ending

Yes, he came out of this better than most Cookies, but his role was kinda boring, and he didn’t even get to actually fight The Ultimate Cookie

Basically the only fans who won were the Espresso Fans

He took over like half of the episode, to the detriment of other characters’ stories(like the Beasts)! And tbh, while he was somewhat cool, I’m not much of a fan of most of the Epics, and I was annoyed that the Beasts were fucked over in the name of giving this guy more screentime

I have always been confused by how the anti-mutant bigots in any given X-Men media know that the mutants they harass are actually mutants,

Like, in the Marvel universe there are so so SO many ways to gain powers, including but not limited to:

Being born a Mutant

Being born an Inhuman and exposed to Terrigen Mist

Being an Alien, Monster, Demon, Deity, or other Nonhuman

Being a Half-Demon, Half-Alien, Half-Monster, Demigod, or other Part-Human/Part-Nonhuman Hybrid

Being experimented on in a lab, given super-soldier serum, getting your dna combined with dna from another species, etc.

Being exposed to radiation, mutagenic chemicals, etc.

Being given powers from a magic-user or a magical artifact

Being given powers from an alien or an alien technological device

and more!

But somehow, the anti-mutant bigots automatically know that any given superpowered and/or nonhuman-looking person is a mutant;

yes the government has mutant gene scanning devices(like the ones in the Sentinels), but not every anti-mutant bigot works for the government, and thus not all of them would have access to this tech

your average anti-mutant bigot/anti-mutant hate mob likely doesn’t have one of those devices, and in the scenes i’ve watched/read where mutants are harassed by average joe non-government bigots, i’ve never seen a bigot holding a mutant scanner device, so how do they know that they aren’t just harassing a lab experiment or an alien or other non-mutant superpowered person?

I just don’t like Kpop Demon Hunters

I tried to like it, I really did, cause it's so popular and everyone loves it, and the art/animation and soundtrack are legitimately awesome, but there were several major parts that I just couldn't like, and tons of issues with the writing that I just didn't like; and it has nothing to do with “hating women” or whatever, I’m a feminist and I like tons of other things with girl main characters!

The main issues I have with it are:

The way that all the boys except for Jinu have no personality, seemingly just so that people won't feel bad for them when Huntrix kills them all

How the movie started to add nuance to the demons, and show that they aren't all pure evil with Jinu, and then went and had Jinu turn on Rumi and then die, and went and were like "actually demons are just evil monsters, let's watch our heroes kill droves of them(including the boy band) and re-seal the rest of them up! the only somewhat good full demon sacrificed himself and died! no nuance only black and white evil demons!"

The way that the above happened, while Rumi's being half-demon(intentionally or not) was coded as her being biracial and/or queer, and she was treated as a liar and in the wrong for not telling her friends(who, if you remember, were DEMON HUNTERS who ACTIVELY SAID THAT ALL DEMONS WERE EVIL CREATURES WHO DESERVED TO DIE and even WROTE A WHOLE SONG ABOUT IT), that she was half-demon! of course she didn't feel safe telling them! fuck that "i don't know why i didn't trust you to be on my side" shit! she knows exactly why she didn't trust them, and it's because they made it clear that there was a nonzero chance that they would kill her on sight if they saw that she had demon patterns(especially with that damn Takedown song)! and they PROVED HER RIGHT when they aimed their weapons at her when she needed them the most!

The way that only Rumi was made to sort-of apologize in What It Sounds Like, and Mira & Zoey never did, and then the end of the movie treats it like everything is perfect between them now, and also it brushes over any feelings Rumi might have had about Jinu sacrificing himself or any other of the somber emotional issues, in the name of "let's wrap it up in a pretty bow and have the girls laughing and going to the bathhouse together! isn't it sweet!?"

The way that Rumi went from "I want to destroy the Honmoon, I'm falling apart because almost everyone in my life turned on me when I needed them the most, I'm going full demon and having a massive breakdown" to "I'm a badass who is going to fix the honmoon and stop the demon king, I'm sorry for hiding my demon half, I'm confident and accept myself now!" without any build up or explanation at all
