I thought I should probably make a better pinned post.
This is a side blog, so all follows, likes and asks will come from my main blog - @russettrush
I also have Other Side blogs.
@absol-enthusiast - A Pokémon irl/Rotumblr blog.
@slice-of-life-cafe - A roleplay cafe. You can do story roleplays, but feel free to also just have your character order food/drinks or just chill out somewhere for a bit. It's open to both fandom and non-fandom roleplay, and could potentially be a good place for your muse to escape the hectic adventures of their day-to-day life for a little while.
@games-star-high - A multi fandom RP blog inspired by/based on Ever After High and Monster High.
@sonic-merswap-au - A sonic the hedgehog AU I made up as a thought experiment for a fanfic I have yet to write. Evidently, it got well out of hand.
My characters are listed below the cut.
Main Characters
Sonic the Hedgehog
Main Sonic the Hedgehog OC: AMEND protoytpe A77 - "Amity"
A vaguely wolf-like android designed with the main purpose of helping and befriending others in the world around her. She's unfinished and unpainted, and her eyes currently only display a pair of white ovals when on.
She can often be found with a red wisp she calls Spark. There is more reason behind this name than the wisps fire powers alone.
Selena the wolf
Mostly grey, with coppery eyes. The left one has splodges of a blue-green colour, but the other does not.
She was working with the Resistance during the war, but the base she was stationed at was attacked. She was never found, and now occasionally turns up as a ghost. Creator of the AMEND prototype, Amity.
Splatoon
Main Splatoon OC: Violet
A pale, easily burnt octoling with violet eyes (hence her name) with cropped tentacles

Original Stories
Please note that most of these don't have titles, and those that do usually have working titles. For this reason, I will refer to them with their tags.
#unit name: dusk
Dusk is a fairly tall android, with pearlescent white panels on the sides of her head and the same metal on her neck, her elbows and lower arms, all around the back of her head and her legs, which also have tiny golden lights down the sides. She has glowing eyes like a sunset, with a series of violet lines in place of pupils and dark pink hair. She has a pair of protrusions for her "ears" which function as antennae and are made of the same material as above. These have lights that match those on her legs on the very top, but they aren't usually on. When she is in combat, the series of lines that make up her "pupil" turn into a star, which is filled in a pale yellow. One eye will also do this if she reactivates after an emergency shutdown, as this puts her on high alert.
She is helpful and kind, but best described as "socially inexperienced," and does not have any programming to aid her in socialising.
I've had a Sonic the Hedgehog Behind the Scenes AU in my head for a while now, so here's one kf the characters from it!
Meet Amber!
Amber Smith - better known by her screen name, Alia Grey - has been an actress since she was fairly young, appearing as Super Sonic in the Sonic the Hedgehog movies. When she's not acting, she's usually training to take over her father's jewellers' shop.
She's the older sister of Ametrine Smith, as well as being friends with her other costars - including her brother's boyfriend, Liam.
We need help getting money for food and gas until August 7th. My Kofi page is here [link]. My commissions are not very expensive at all. In fact, I mostly do this as a hobby, which is why. If you'd like to donate or order a commission, by all means. Either place your order directly on my Kofi or slide into my DMs.
If the price is too high on the exact thing you want, I may be willing to lower it depending on what it is.
If you can't afford to spend any money, please spread this around.
A very unusual young woman could be seen walking outside. She was fairly tall, with pearlescent white panels on the sides of her head and the same material on her neck, her elbows and lower arms and all around the back of her head. Her legs appeared to be made of the stuff as well, and were adorned with tiny golden lights down the sides. She had glowing eyes like a sunset and dark pink hair, but her strangest feature was oddly a pair of protrusions from her ears. They stuck up through her hair, and were made of the same metal that appeared in various places on her body.
She approached the blacksmiths shop warily, looking around and clutching her right arm close to her chest. It was mostly covered by her sleeve, but it almost looked as though it was about to come off.
*Akari is currently hammering a piece of metal into what looks like a crescent-sickle style blade. he seems to be presently ignoring you, focused on working the steel that is just barely hot enough to glow red.*
"This may be an odd request, but is there any chance you would be able to fix my arm?" She asked. "It was badly damaged even before I arrived in this land. I haven't been able to find any way to fix it since. I should be able to self-repair once it's in a good enough shape to put it back into place."
She feared he wouldn't understand why she had come to him, but she had no other options. She'd have to find her way home, but that would be easier when she didn't have to carry half her own arm.
"It's a little complicated. It's made of metal, but so is the rest of me. I came here because it took the most of the damage, as it's my dominant hand."
This seemed to be why she was so nervous. She hadn't seen anyone like herself here. Looking closer, her eyes appeared to be made of glass, and were scratched up. The metal that made up the rest of her could be heard quietly creaking as it was bent back into shape by... whatever allowed her to repair herself. The only exception being her right arm, of course, as this wasn't attached to her at the moment. It looked as though it were usually identical to the one holding it.
"Please. I would be very grateful for the assistance."
She seemed fine immediately after finishing her sentence, but something seemed to shift suddenly and she dropped the arm. There were wires coming out of it.
She was no longer responding, and her eyes turned almost white as she fell to the the floor, barely catching herself by reflex. It sounded as though she was screaming, an odd sound that shifted between two tones. It only lasted a short time, but she didn't pick herself up right away after.
Something was starting to leak through to the back of her coat and towards the ground.
*when you recover your senses, you're in what looks like a mechanics shop. someone has patched up all of your leak-facilitationg perforations, including the portions that would normally be sealed by your arm being there. a young man who looks somewhat like Akari, though with longer, blond hair and piercingly blue eyes stands beside you, and on the other side your arm lays on a separate work table.*
???: oh. you reactivated. interesting, i suppose you have an automatic safe-to-reactivate protocol.
???: before you get up- I'm Menoa, one of Akari's brothers, and your internal power resevoirs are presently too low for it to be wise to do much movement, though i have a temporary power source keeping comms and senses viable.
???: Do you have a self-diagnosis system?
[ooc- moving this to main blog since it no longer primarily concerns akari]
She listened quietly, trying to assess the situation. She seemed embarrassed, honestly. Her head was still intact, thank goodness, but it made sense that her power crystal had started to run out of power.
"Thank you. I do have a self-diagnosis system, but it doesn't seem to be working at the moment." She sounded a little annoyed now. "If it were, I likely would not have crashed, as I would have been aware of any issues in my core."
That was another issue that needed to be fixed. But that could wait. She could fairly easily patch that up at home, but she needed a computer to assess whether it was a programming issue.
"I apologise if I caused you any trouble. Even in my own land, my model isn't often seen outside of our headquarters."
(ooc: the right arm having come off for certain, but most of the damage had been reduced to a few dents and especially deep scratches/cuts by her self-repair system. The damage that caused her to crash* was mostly internal, and was itself caused by a major dent to her back. Her power crystal was unharmed, but expended most of the energy it had accumulated at the time fixing her up and powering her enough to move and seek help.)
"Please do," she asked. At this point, she was just embarrassed for having gotten herself in such a state. Her "eye" was no longer scratched up, though it still displayed a star instead of the collection of lines that were in its twin. It always did when she reactivated like this.
Menoa: your debilitating injuries are mostly caused by secondary trauma from the injury on your back. the best repair treatment would be an energy infusion and a replacement arm.
She listened intently, nodding when he seemed to have finished.
"Thank you. I had suspected that the damage to my back had caused the most significant problems, but I couldn't quite be sure." She seemed troubled for a moment, though her expression didn't change much. "I was worried that if I'd missed that, I was likely to have missed other damage."
She nodded. "Indeed. I suppose my line are quite fortunate in that respect," she mused. "Our crystals can typically generate more than enough energy to power and maintain us. When they get damaged, though..."
She trailed off, seeming to freeze in place and becoming unresponsive, though she didn't power down. This was something else, and her other eye briefly flickered between its default state and the star icon that its twin displayed.
Menoa: ah. reserves low. let's see... *he reaches through the typical physical barriers preventing unwanted mana influx from affecting battery, as if they weren't there, and gives about 3 hours worth of mana to the system, in the exact type and manner necessary to not damage the power crystal.*
It seemed this wasn't quite the issue, but it did pull her out of whatever process had made her freeze up.
"Ah! Sorry...My first power crystal was damaged a few months ago and I was thrown out. I've been told I tend to freeze when I get too hung up on it," she explained. "Thank you."
Menoa: mmm, i see. I would have words with whatever idiot thought that type of power crystal damage was worth throwing you out for... neither here nor there. I should be able to construct a replacement crystal, if necessary, in addition to the arm.
"It's perfectly intact, but thank you." She answered. "I'd know if that happened again. My designer wasn't too impressed with him either, and she used to be his mother in law!" She beeped, her version of a laugh.

I’ve seen this circulating forever and genuinely thought “no way do I have any of them following me” until this week when it turned out I had all these fuckin “MAP” (pedophile) followers sad to find out I’m an “anti” (normal person)
Please leave and also please get guinea worm.
Pedophilia is not welcome in the LGBTQ+ community nor are MAPs or pedophilia apologizers welcome on any of my blogs. If you support pedophilia, unfollow me. My blog is a safe space but I will not tolerate the sexualization of children.
I’m reblogging this here because I want this blog to be a safe space for people to enjoy.
Anyone who supports pedophilia or is a pedophile in any way, shape or form REGARDLESS OF ANY REASONS/EXCUSES, please kindly get the fuck away from this blog, just unfollow me straight away. I do not tolerate your kind here, and you should be ashamed of trying to justify the sexualisation of children even for a S E C O N D.
Also just to clarify this one specific point: Pedophilia and pedophiles are NOT AND WILL NEVER BE IN OR ASSOCIATED WITH THE LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY
Edit: Before I forget, if any of you are in any way, shape or form, a pedophile, turn yourself in at your nearest police station because you don’t deserve to roam free on the streets.
please leave my blog if you’re a pedophile or anything that is viewed negatively by the majority of the populace like racism, sexism, being homophobic, or anything else along those lines
I don’t trust the DSM personally because it catogorizes children speaking out against abuse they’ve suffered from authority figures as mentally ill
While there’s certainly something wrong in pedophile’s brains to cause them to want to fuck kids, they shouldn’t be associated with disabilities like autism. I believe that was Kermit’s point
If a kid’s authority figure(s) are acting abusive towards the child, the child may act more aggressively towards the authority figure and defy them. This usually happens with teachers or parents, and gets diagnosed as Oppositional Defiance Disorder, which is just done to dismiss kids and sometimes grown people as mentally ill when they speak out against authority figures
I DON’T NORMALLY REBLOG THESE KINDS OF LONG REBLOG CHAINS.
BUT I DON’T WANT ANY OF THESE PEOPLE ON MY BLOG AND IF ANYONE THAT’S FOLLOWING ME IS A MAP I’M NOT EVEN LETTING YOU PLAY MY GAME I’M TAKING YOU TO THE DEEPEST LAYER OF THE TORTURE DIMENSION IMMEDIATELY
IN ALL SERIOUSNESS, IF YOU ARE A MAP, UNKINDLY FOLLOW ME.
To iterate how important it is for people to outwardly say that they agree asexuality is a legitimate sexuality,
Asexuality was classified as a mental disorder in the DSM until 2013. That is only 13 years ago.
That is the same age as a middle schooler. That is barely old enough to (legitimately) sign up for Tumblr in the USA. That is not old enough to (legitimately) use Tumblr in the EU, UK, or Australia.
Asexuality is still at the beginning of a very long journey of being recognized and respected and any support helps.
I have more to add, because this needs to be understood.
Asexuality, even though it is not officially classified as a disorder anymore, is still seen that way by many. It can take a long time for people to switch their thinking.
My own mother still sees it that way. A while back (maybe 2 years ago) I tried to bring up to her the idea of me being ace and she told me that I couldn’t be because there must be something wrong for someone to be and I was fine and normal.
Spoiler alert, even outside of being aroace I am not normal. I am very clearly neurodivergent (likely undiagnosed ADHD as there is a family history but I do know for sure I am neurodivergent).
