Hi! im icarus, but i also go by drupad. i go by mostly they/it. i'm 16 and just about finishing my GCSEs. i love writing, poetry in particular though. in sixth form, i hope to do history, sociology, and english language. im (as you can tell) based in england, but im ethnically bangladeshi. my favourite animal is a (hammerhead) shark, favourite colour is green, favourite music artist is yaelokre, etc etc. my main boundaries are that you don't seriously flirt with me, try to force religion on me, and probably dont make a 'your mum' joke as it won't end well for you. besides that, i like musicals, epic the musical, jack wolfe, CoAD, PJO, etc etc etc i cant be asked to remember everything right now. every so often, i write some short essay thingies on my thoughts on media. thats all from me!!

being trans is easier when youre white.

being gay is easier when youre white.

being disabled is easier when youre white.

being a woman is easier when youre white.

being autistic is easier when youre white.

oppression is eased when you are white, as you get extra privileges, and your whiteness is seen as a positive characteristic that in some ways counter-balances your other forms of being a minority. whiteness controls everything.

you are automatically way more innocent in your own oppression as a gay, trans, disabled person because of your whiteness.

The way this is completely true on ALL forms and people find it “rude” is beyond me. If I was white, maybe even LIGHT SKINNED, I’d be given so much more grace and mercy from homophobes, transphobes, ableists, etc. Your skin determines if people even see you as HUMAN.

If you don’t understand that, you’re just ignorant.
