@scribbl3dog (my main), I've always loved to draw and write, so scribble, and I was fairly certain that my fursona would stay a dog, hence the dog, the 3 in the username is just there to look cool (and also since @scribbledog already exists), the 3 was inspired by the titles of Femtanyl songs
@scribblethedog (roleplay blog), I liked the scribble in my username so much that I made it the name of my fursona, who eventually branched out into her own character,
@thefatjolteon (reblog blog) was originally thefatflareon, but I really like yellow so I used jolteon so I could make the blog extra yellow, I used an eevelution since my sister really likes eevee and often makes us play where we both have to be eeveelutions where I always choose either flareon or jolteon, the 'fat' is self-expalantory, it flowed a bit better when I was called flareon but I kept it when I switched to Jolteon since there aren't a lot of adjectives starting with J that I vibe with
My username, realbakedtoast/BakedToast, is pretty stupid tbh. It comes from the fact that I wanted a good online username to attract attention as a content creator.
I was thinking about names that I could go by one night and ended up with BakedToast because I found the idea of bread that you toast in an oven silly since it's toast that wasn't made in a toaster, but it's still called toast.
And that's basically it! That's where it came from lol!

My username is an oc... is anyone surprised?
The oc was originally a tadc oc for a character that came into the circus as a ghost, but after I got a friend to draw the oc, I just decided that would be my new online presence. The name is an edited version of the word "Poltergeist".

Well, I'm pretty sure I've told my username lore to you before Polty, but why not share?
So, I was pretty into Sonic as a kid as a lot of kids are, among other things.. Sally Face, for example, if you grew up the same way, you can probably guess more, but that's all that's important.
I used to make a lot of OCs, Sonic OCs, that I'd cross over to other fandoms, and out came 'Patch', Patch the Fox. A red and black female 3 tailed fox, yes I played that one Sonic Roblox RP game a lot, yes she was in that.
I've kept her for years, and, later down the line I got into Sally Face. I decided my girl needed a last name, that wasn't just 'Fox', so I took the last names of Sal and Larry, 'Fisher' and 'Johnson', and made Fis-on

My username is an OC I've used as a "persona" for years.
So I have a bunch of different usernames across different platforms, but one thing they all have in common is the word "Silly" because of a thing I had to do in theatre a long while back where I put a word that starts with the same letter as my first name (my first name starts with S) and since I'm self deprecating I didn't wanna do smart or sweet or something like that, but obviously we couldn't put anything negative, so I thought of silly since its not too positive but its not too negative either so now I use the word silly in all my users :3
my usernames are always something with lemons like lemonsareamazing (my discord), l3m0nxxx, and blah blah blah citrus blah. so basically i was one of those kids who would do some weird wacky shit to get attention and it was particularly when i had to pack my own lunches in the 5th grade. i packed a full cucumber, loose grapes, and other random things so one day my friend dared me to bring a full lemon and eat it at recess, peel and seeds and everything. so obviously i did.
i packed a lemon and gathered a few kids behind the bins and started eating it in its entirety (i almost vomited a few times) and yeah thats it. lemons have also been my favourite fruit for FOREVERRRRRRRR because i love sour foods.
so when signing up for discord and tumblr and other sites i was like "hey wait i need a username thats easy to remember. wait LEMON"
My “surname” is applied in order to be an “S” and rhyme with the first name, given to me by my Latin teacher.

my username (main) across most platforms is some variation of the words "snow", "copper", and "quail". tbh i was mostly thinking about how youtubers make up their names, and one of them said something about mashing random words together (more minor inspo was ranboo, who was looking around and mispronouncing things they saw before landing on rainbow -> "ranboo").

I chose my username because I adore Pluey from deltarune and I didnt want it to be weird so I simply put casual so I didn't seem weird (the Internet can be very mean to people unfortunately)
This is a fun one, but also, my reasoning for my username is pretty boring, lol.
For one, I’m not religious. That’s not the reason behind it at all.
Star has been in my usernames for as long as I can remember, but originally as “dragonstar.” I loved dragons, still do, but eventually decided the name was cringe and dropped the dragon bit.
I happen to be a bit fan of the eldritch, cosmic, existential, and everything in between. I took one look at “biblically accurate” angels and decided they were such magnificent looking beasts, that from then on I’ve always drawn my Sona with at least one pair of wings, with the current number being six, as usually depicted on seraphim, but not in the same position.
Since my Sona is inspired by the biblically accurate angel look, and has a terrifying nightmare form, I felt that biblically accurate Star was a perfect representation of me.
Unfortunately I did not realize that it could also imply religious ties of which I do not have.
In other spaces I usually go by “ArtyStar,” since “Arti” is the name I would likely go by if I decided to change it from what it is currently, and also for the play of words.
Most people end up calling me Star anyways, lol. And honestly, that’s just as fun and enjoyable, just not a name I’d use irl like Arti is.

I am gonna explain my username, and I will also talk about how this accidently became an AU account. Both answers will be separated out so you can skip the AU account explanation if you want!
WARNING: My wanting to yap about all of this makes this whole thing way too long!
How this became an AU account:
If you don't really care about this part since it doesn't answer the question, you can skip it!
Originally, this blog page was supposed to be a casual page to reblog and share art others made relating mostly to TADC. There would have been stuff about my DnD characters and other things I am a fan of as well. There is one post in that spirit, my first post. I shared the song Writing on The Wall, and I expressed how it felt like it could fit canon Caine. I now also feel like it fits for my AU as well.
The second post was the concept post of The (Actual) Good Ending, It was the building blocks, even though some of it has definitely been altered, or just doesn't exist in the AU proper. I had the thought at first that I would only really have a concept post, but I felt inspired. At the time, Episode 8 had recently released, and I felt that Gooseworx would go for a very bittersweet or sad ending. I wanted all the characters to be happy, or at least satisfied at the end, and that happiness being at least somewhat earned.
Even the writing and scale originally was supposed to be just the TAGE story and that's it. Caine was put as the main character, seeking to right his wrongs. Ghost became an idea fairly early on, but her personality wasn't really set in stone yet. Some earlier posts might feel out of character because I was actively developing her as I wrote. I will try to soon have a in universe explanation of why she seemed so out of character in some places.
Curse as a character came in even later, I wanted to have three AIs to be the creations of the three founders. I considered the founders three people that had a pretty large influence. Queenie may seem like an outlier, but with how she treats Caine and Ghost with kindness is a pretty major thing. Her actions in my AU makes her a founder in my eyes. I wanted the fic to be partly about how the founders had influenced their creations. Kinger and Scratch talked to the developing AIs about their feelings. I felt that part would be somewhat of a cautionary tale about why you don't just share how you are feeling to random AIs.
Either way, Queenie and Kinger are now trying to fix the mess that was mainly created by himself and Scratch. Queenie doesn't come out clean since she didn't look for Curse once she knew that the AIs could be sentient. Before I get into the weeds of exploring the plot, which isn't why I am posting this, I will stop myself. I had thoughts on how the story was progressing and followed them. I went along with my improv writing, making sure to come up with either explanations, or things that might bring up even more questions for me and probably the readers as well.
tl;dr for this part: I came up with an AU concept and I just couldn't leave it be. This was supposed to be a casual blog, so the username sadly doesn't have any reference to my AU at all.

The Answer to the actual question:
I felt an explanation about how this blog became an AU blog somewhat related to the idea of explaining usernames.
As for the actual username, its kind of a mix of different sources. Each word has a different source, so I will explain them. This blog, as I said in the first part, was meant to be a casual one, so the username is based on stuff I enjoyed, or I felt fit.
The first word, cool, is probably the most boring out of the three words. I felt that cool fit because the other two words were owl and rogue. So, cool is being used as a positive descriptor. I think a lot of people would probably find a rogue that is also an owl rather cool. Owl and Rogue have origins that are not as boring.
Owl, the second word, is a bit more personal, but I am willing to share it. I, a long while ago, used to volunteer at a place that had volunteers help care for the three owls they had at the time. I very much enjoyed it, even if it was just cleaning the cage and giving them fresh water and food. They all were screech owls, which by the way, screech owls do not screech, at all. The noises they make I find actually very cute. The attachment that I grew to have with those three owls became rather strong, and I have loved owls ever since.
The final word, Rogue, is related to the DnD version of the Rogue class. I have a character in my current group I am playing with that is a Halfing Rogue. His name is Belfire, and they became a Rogue after signing up to be in one of Eberron's militaries. He became a spy for the military, and learned the languages of those that he was supposed to spy on. He was unable to contact his home during that time because they didn't want Belfire to compromise the missions.
Belfire has not written to his home, or his best friend out of shame. He saw the aftermath of some of his missions, and it wasn't pretty sometimes. He, as a party member tries to find the peaceful option the majority of the time, trying to prevent more deaths that could potentially be on his conscience. After the party lost a newly friended Xvart that was put in harm's way by a fellow party member, he does the rites for them. He catches the eyes of beings you probably shouldn't catch the eye of.
He ends up becoming a Sorcerer along with being a Rogue due to the eyes he has caught. Usually becoming a Sorcerer would be considered a blessing, but not here. Belfire now looks more pale and due to the drain the beings have on him, pulling at his life force, he sometimes feels a bit tired and maybe even kind of weak on occasion. Belfire hoped that resting would improve things, but it never did, this is just how it is now.
His best friend, the one he is actually hopelessly in love with without knowing it, I would argue is more of a badass than he is. She became a Cleric and defending their town, becoming a local town hero. All sorts of people have tried to get with her, but she just can't let go of Belfire emotionally. Hopefully, this idiot that is Belfire finally sends a couple letters so him and his best friend could at least write each other. Could you please, for the love of God Belfire, just write the town and who you are in love with. It doesn't even have to be that long, just tell them you are no longer on active duty, and are, in fact, alive!
You may notice a pattern here, lmao. Yes, all my main characters that I focus the most on, in some way, suck at communication. Usually, they are very intelligent, but there Wisdom stat, whether figurative or literal, really sucks. Here is an explanation of Wisdom in DnD.
I got off track again, so the tl;dr is that cool is a descriptor, owl is from when I used to volunteer to help care of three of them, I grew attached, and rogue is based off of a different character I am tormenting. So, if you think my character not being in the circus means they are safe, you are very wrong.
So, since I am unsure of who is and isn't being okay with being tagged, I will instead say that any of my audience can reblog this that wants to explain their username!

Okay originally I went by Ash_Woods online which I normally say is based on my name meaning. Ashlee meaning a valley of ash wood trees but I honestly just put my nickname with the last name of an old oc from my rise of the guardians fandom days 😂 if anyone has read the fic I will be amazed.
Now I go by Ashryte after a ton of seo, availability checking and research, I wanted something related to writing, art, stars, or something spooky. "Ash" or "As" is already used in a ton of star related words like asteroid and stuff so I just mashed writing with Ash and was going to do ashrite but couldn't do that spelling of it so I swapped the "I" for a "y"! The seo checking was worth it cause I'm usually the first thing to pop up when you search it or Google autocorrects it to a washing company XD

What is your age, and do you feel AI is a net positive or net negative in our lives today?
Where DO fairytale retellings fall in the fandom umbrella?? Like in my head its as much fanfiction as Percy Jackson is. Like its fanfic on a technicality due to the nature of it being a transformative work based off something else, but no one legitimately views pjo as actual fanfiction. Youd only really claim it as such to be funny.
And sure my lil OC art isnt like a well known piece of published YA fiction with multiple adaptations in different medias but like where is the line? If Rick Riordan was just a guy posting his oc Percy would that make it fanfiction?
cus like, okay, with my Cinderwolf and Vampire Snow White I've gotten several people responding to it as if its an au on the same level as as making danny phantom show up in batman. I don't think thats a wrong response necessarily. I am an artist who works in fandom spaces a lot and I make a lot of fanart, so obviously fandom leaning people would be the ones seeing my art to begin with. Obvs I HAVE aus in which I enjoy the fandom experience of people adding their two cents and ideas. But those weren't like, my OCs

It's such a fine line that authors and artists dance, cause we have real works like Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies or Maleficent that feel like an au or fanfic that got green lit by large companies. But they're not talked about in the same tone as fan works.
I saw your Cinderwolf and vampire snow white and thought they were the cutest thing. I think the natural fan response to the work is probably because a lot of the fans interacting with it are familiar with ever after high or once upon a time shows that also feel like au's of those characters.
I think it depends on how far you take them. I have a story with characters inspired by Grimm fairy tales that could be seen as au of those stories but they've been developed so much and they're supporting cast so the info needed to get the connection isn't the main focus. In comparison your Cinderwolf and Vamp White have the main stage, people immediately see the connection and kinda know what to expect from their story cause they're new. You're stilling growing them as ocs, so we don't have anything to go off of other than the original story.
I think if Rick riordan started talking about early percy on Tumblr it would feel would feel pretty similar.
I hope I expanded on this is a positive way, I'm a one draft person. I don't often go back and fix my writing outside for typos. So hopefully the sentence structure and stuff isn't annoying to read or understand 😅

Hello, all! This is an announcement for a Vampires SMP community event to support bat conservation. There’s a lot of misconceptions surrounding bats being evil or dirty or diseased, which makes it really hard to get people to care about some bat species that are already struggling with survival. Bats are close to the heart of VSMP, so i thought we could do something to raise awareness and support within our community.

When this event occurs: April 12th-18th, as International Bat Appreciation Day falls on the 17th of that week.

How to participate: Create a post with a piece of art or a story that is related to bats in VSMP in some way, and include a donation link to a bat conservation group with it. All posts will need to either tag this blog, or use a hashtag (#vsmp bat conservation event) so that we can find and reblog it to share the love. It’s not required but including information about bats themselves either within the work or separately is encouraged.
Who can participate: Everyone! Regardless of skill level, everyone is invited to participate. And if you’re not able to participate directly, you can still help by donating or liking/reblogging other people’s works.
Accepted art: Digital, traditional, 3D, short stories, poems, get creative! You may make as many posts as you like.
