Quarantine Schedule - College Witch Edition
Hi my greenies! I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. During these stressful and uncertain times, it can be very difficult to stay calm and productive. I hope that I may be able to give some ideas of how to keep in touch with your witchcraft while also being active in mental health and daily necessities. Here are some ways I’m coping with quarantine and I hope these might help some of you.
Morning: 8:30 am - 12:00 pm
8:30 am - I wake up at this time everyday so that my rhythm doesn’t get thrown off during my time inside. Sometimes I wake up before this time and I’ll just chill for an hour. I check my costar and scroll through instagram/twitter (because I’m 20 and this is what I do lol).
9:00 am - 9:45/10:00 am - I get up and roll out my yoga mat for some stretches. I have a mug of warm lemon water and I like to light a candle and take a few breathers, then I take out my oracle deck and do a morning reading. Sometimes, I like to put on soft piano or nature sounds (actually I do this most of the time). After my reading, I complete one or two yoga classes on youtube.
10:00 am - 12:00 pm - I try to get as much schoolwork as I can possibly accomplish during this time. I really stick with this and try to be productive during the morning because I don’t like doing it at night. I recommend picking a few hours during the day to be productive, because if you’re like me…I won’t get any of my schoolwork done if I don’t.
Afternoon: 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
12:00 - 2:00 pm - Brunch time! I do intermediate fasting, so I eat between the hours of 12:00 pm and 8:00 pm. I have tea 30 minutes before I eat anything and then I’ll eat either an egg sandwich, a salad, a ham sandwich, or some jam toast. I’ll do a little visualization and chant before I eat. This consists of asking for strength and focus during the day. This is also my break time - so I’ll watch some TV too.
2:00 - 4:00 pm - Creative time! This is something really love about my schedule, I try and do something creative and fun like painting, writing, reading, or drawing in my plant book. The other day I created a vision board!
4:00 - 6:00 pm - Open time! It’s good to have time where nothing is scheduled so that if you have things that need to get done that day, you’ll have time for them. I’ll have a snack during this time. This is also where if I didn’t finish my homework, I’d finish it here. I also will create a spell jar/spells/tonics.
Nighttime: 6:00 pm - 11:30 pm
6:00 - 8:30 pm - This is where I cook and eat my food. I’ll either eat while watching a movie/show or hang out with my roommates.
8:30 - 10:00 pm - Designated witch time! If I have something in mind that day, I’ll perform a ritual or doing a bath spell. This consists of a lot of lithomancy readings, because it’s something I’ve been practicing, and finger paintings. I’ll get my paint and place it in front of me before I blindfold myself (or just close my eyes - depends on the day and the message) and use my hands to paint the page.
10:00 - 11:30 pm - This is where I get ready for bed and play on my computer. I try and wind down so that I’m actually asleep by 12.
I hope this might help you create a schedule or routine to follow during these stressful times. Obviously, things happen and I don’t always stick with the schedule, but I try to and that’s all that really matters. I know not everyone has the ability to complete witchcraft in their home and I give my thoughts to you. I’ll be available to talk with if any of you are struggling with coping during these times and I’m going to try and be more active, so that you all have content to look forward to. I’ll be posting a recipe soon! Look forward to it:)
Love you all,
Kenzie
