Lyrics:Â
Iâve tried, tried, tried And Iâve tried even more Iâve Cried, Cried, Cried And I canât recall what for Iâve pressed, Iâve pushed, Iâve yelled, Iâve begged In hope of some success  But the inevitable fact is that It never will impressÂ
Iâve no more fucks to give,  My fucks have runneth dry, Iâve tried to go fuck shopping But thereâs no fucks left to buy  Iâve no more fucks to give, Though more fucks Iâve tried to get, Iâm over my fuck budget and Iâm now in fucking debtÂ
I strive, strive, strive To get everything done Iâve played by all the rules But Iâve very rarely won, Iâve smiled, Iâve charmed, Iâve wooed Iâve laughed, Alas to no avail Iâve run round like a moron, To unequivocally fail!
Iâve no more fucks to give, My fuck fuse has just blown, Iâve been hunting for my fucks all day, But theyâve upped and fucked off home, Iâve no more fucks to give, My fuck rations are depleted, Iâve rallied my fuck army but Itâs been fucking defeated!Â
The effort has just not been worth The time or the expense Iâve exhausted all my energy For minimal recompense The complete lack of acknowledgement Has now begun to gall And Iâve come to realise that I Donât give a fuck at all!
Iâve no more fucks to give, My fucks have flown away, My fucks are now so fucked off Theyâve refused to fucking stay! Iâve no more fucks to give, My fucks have gone insane Theyâve come back round and passed me While theyâre fucking off again!
Iâve no more fucks to give, My fucks have all dissolved, Iâve planned many projects But my fucks wonât be involved! Iâve no more fucks to give, My fucks have all been spent, Theyâve fucked off from the building And I donât know where they went!Â
Iâve no more fucks to give, Iâve no more fucks to give, Iâve no more fucks, Iâve no more fucks, Iâve no more fucks to give!
Good news folks itâs on Spotify!!!

Pasting the text below for anyone who was struggling to read it like I was:
âIâve threatened this digital essay for some time, and now I feel like my timeline could use some nerdom, so the moment has come: itâs time for my full defense of Frodo. đ
I remember when I was younger, I struggled to accept and understand why a lot of my peers found Frodo either forgettable or material for mocking. I understand it a little better now: the movies DO often make him not particularly likable or watchable. The book portrays him as someone who doesnât seem to be experiencing a reasonable range of human expression/emotion, which admittedly can make him less compelling to read about. I understand that. But I also think itâs integral to the point of the character.
Frodo and Sam are necessary for understanding each other. Sam was a character cast from the mold that Tolkien learned on the frontlines of World War I. Tolkien saw Sam as the everyday hero, the embodiment of the simple good-hearted courage of the men he watched die in the trenches. Samâs obstacles are exterior to himself: the geography. The threat of enemy soldiers (orcs), of Shelob, of his companionâs physical and mental difficulties.
By contrast, Frodoâs obstacles are primarily internal. He endured a lot of those same exterior challenges as Sam, but Sam did much to absorb their impact (see the Cirith Ungol rescue). Frodoâs challenges are the slow, steady erosion of a soul being asked to carry a tremendous internal darkness without being consumed by it. Everything he was became laser-focused on that monolithic spiritual and emotional task.
This is why, at the end, Frodo had to sacrifice far more than Sam. Because Samâs primary struggle was against external forces, once those external forces were alleviated, he could go home, marry, have children, live as a functional member of his community. For Frodo, the cessation of exterior pressure could do nothing to mend the way his soul had been burning from the inside out.
This is a hard thing to portray in movie form (the greatest weakness of the LotR movies is their inability to portray subtlety and spirituality, two traits the narrative Tolkien crafted requires). We see Frodoâs neck chapping from the actual physical weight of the Ring as a representation; well and good. But itâs hard to truly convey the immense mental weight, the crucible of enduring without utter collapse.
If Sam is a kind of patron saint for the good-hearted soldier, I would posit that Frodo is the patron saint of the depressed, the suicidal, the addicted, the ones living with trauma. We see it best maybe at Mount Doom, where Frodoâs very self has been ground down to nearly nothing: âNo taste of food, no feel of water, no sound of wind, no memory of tree or grass or flower, no image of moon or star are left to me. I am naked in the dark, Sam, and there is no veil between me and the wheel of fire. I begin to see it even with my waking eyes, and all else fades.â
If youâd ever been deeply depressed, ever lived chained in the prison of PTSD, you will have experienced that exact same thing.
And of course thatâs not always the most likable thing to read about or to watch. Mental anguish has a way of stripping away so many of the human details about you, even your personality itself.
âFrodo is a study of a hobbit broken by a burden of fear and horrorâ broken down, and in the end made into something quite different,â J.R.R. Tolkien himself wrote.
In another letter (#246, for the curious), Tolkien addressed the concern that had been posed to him that Frodo was a weak and failed hero, that his decision at Mount Doom proved it. âI do not think that Frodoâs was a moral failure,â Tolkien clarified. âAt the last moment the pressure of the Ring would reach its maximumâ impossible, I should have said, for any one to resist, certainly after long possession, months of increasing torment, and when starved and exhausted⊠I do not myself see that the breaking of his mind and will under demonic pressure after torment was any more a moral failure than the breaking of his body would have beenâ say, by being strangled by Gollum, or crushed by a falling rock.â
Tolkien built into Frodo a validation of the internal struggle, marking it not as weakness, but ultimately even as a special kind of strength. Through the character of Frodo, Tolkien displayed that internal anguish, fear, and pain were not moral failings. He might not have known it, but Tolkien was building an incredibly beautiful fictitious case study on the impact of trauma on the soul and the human ability to endure.
âFrodo undertook his quest out of loveâ to save the world he knew from disaster at his own expense, if he could; and also in complete humility, acknowledging that he was wholly inadequate to the task,â Tolkien summarized. âHis real contract was only to do what he could, to try to find a way, and to go as far on the road as his strength of mind and body allowed. He did that.â
And for any of us carrying a weight of horror, trauma, grief, dread, anxiety, depression, despairâ maybe our hope is the same. To do what we can. To know that, even when our minds give out under the tremendous weight, we are still enough.â [x]
@soldier-poet-king
my favorite, oddly specific trope is when both the hero and the villain know each otherâs secret identities and they wind up bumping into each other when theyâre in civilian mode, but they canât throw down (even though they both REALLY want to) because surprise! they have a mutual friend. so theyâre just sitting across from each other at the dinner table awkwardly avoiding eye contact and desperately trying to dodge Oblivious Friendâs questions about what they did over the weekend because they canât very well sit there and be like âoh yeah this weekend was fun, i went to the movies and then i threw a truck at this assholeâs headâ or ânot great, there was an issue at the bank and before i could make off with the money, THIS asshole threw a truck at my headâ
bonus points if their mutual friend mistakes their awkwardness for attraction and keeps trying to set them up
Okay but picture this.Â
Suphero prioritised his âworkâ over his family once too often in his young days, and never told his wife he was a secret superhero, and thus he and his wife split up. It was acrimonious at the time, but theyâre both good people and theyâve worked through it and are friends again and he makes a real effort to show up when the kids expect him, etc, and basically heâs a lot more together now. Met a nice badass lady at his day job and itâs all good.Â
His ex-wife has also met a nice lady at *her* job, heâs happy for her, the kids like this new one, and eventually the ex-wife decides, hey, my gf and I are getting serious, sheâs in our kidsâ lives, they should meet each other.Â
Great, says Superhero, Iâd love to, dinner sounds great. He turns up at the ex-wifeâs place with wine, flowers, and some candy for the kids to show how mature and evolved he is these days, and heâs just walking up to the door when he hears a very familiar screech of fury from behind him.Â
Turns around and Holy Shit it is Lady Villain, the one whoâs always kicking the crap out of him (and vice versa) and he doesnât actually know her name but theyâve ripped each otherâs masks off plenty of times and they recognise each other and in perfect unison they look at the house, look at each other, and shout âYou stay away from my family.âÂ
Theyâre seconds away from beating each other to a pulp on the lawn when Ex-Wife opens the door and is all âoh, great, youâre both here, have you introduced yourselves, come on in dinnerâs almost readyâ.Â
Well, shit, they both mumble, and walk in because sheâs WATCHING and they have to sit through dinner while Ex-Wife and the kids tell each of them all these cute stories about how great the other one is and how happy they are that theyâre both here.Â
Itâs so, SO awkward, and they canât entirely hide how awkward it is, but under the circumstances thatâs not unreasonable and at the end of dinner they have to say a polite goodbye and the next day Lady Villain levels the local DMV just to get Superheroâs attention so they can have an even more awkward conversation about what theyâre gonna do now. Neither of them is at all willing to exit Ex-Wifeâs life, and it would break her heart, and the kidâs hearts, and Lady Villain is not actually dangerous to civilians, itâs the establishment and the rich she wants to bring down, so eventually they agree to just⊠uh⊠keep their two lives separate. This is our little secret.Â
And it stays that way for months until Ex-Wife suggests that she and Lady Villain go on a double date with Superhero and Badass Girlfriend. Superhero and Lady Villain try all sorts of shenanigans to get out of this, including a bank-robbery, but eventually theyâre both there at the restaurant having increasingly desperate awkward conversations because Lady Villain has abducted Badass Girlfriend like five times and she is def. going to figure this out if we give her time to think and that works right up until Lady Villain absently calls Ex-Wife âhoneyâ and they can both see the exact second that Badass Girlfriend recognizes Lady Villainâs Sultry Flirty Voice and theyâre both frantically trying to shush her without Ex-Wife noticing and Superhero has SO MUCH EXPLAINING TO DO WHEN THEY GET HOME.Â
Like a year later they find out that Ex-Wife was actually fully aware of both their secret identities the entire time and punishing them for not telling her. Sheâs been pushing them together at awkward moments, asking leading questions about their weekends, discussing Super Types Today in front of both of them etc purely for her own entertainment THE ENTIRE TIME.Â
While this totally applies to other marginalized groups, Iâd like to remind everyone House is specifically talking about an autistic child here.
Remember that.
House is specifically talking about the child here AND (as is his nature) heâs also talking about himself, a disabled addict
"Also, acting or performing is emotion remembered, not emotion you are experiencing yourself at the moment. So cry your eyes out or laugh your head off before you go onstage. If you're experiencing personally what your character is experiencing, that also won't reach the audience. They are the ones who must feel it. The old adage "If you're listening to the sound of your own voice, you can bet nobody else is" seems to me to apply to everything in the theatre. If this scene seems touching to the performer while he's doing it, it's touching only to the performer."

This perfectly encapsulates why I hate âThe Big Bang Theoryâ (x)
Howard: So itâs settled! The fate of Doctor Whoâs TARDIS will be decided by a Game of Thrones inspired death match on the battlefield of Thundercats versus Transformers.
Person filming: [audible tapping of spacebar key to pause video]

Person filming: [still angry, more hasty] HE JUST FUCKING NAMED A BUNCH OF SHIT! HOW IS THIS COMEDY?

I fucking hate that show. This person is me.
Ready Player One (2018, directed by Steven Spielberg, based on the novel by Ernest Cline)
Fun fact:
I have never met a ânerdâ that likes BBT and the one really fervent fan I met was a coach from my High School that was probably the sort of meathead that bullied ânerdsâ back in the day.
The show isnât actually made for Geeks, itâs made for people that want to feel like Geeks now that being one is trendy and donât actually know anything about nerdy sub-cultures beyond stereotypes. Â
donât know why terror seems like the correct emotional reaction to this but it is
From someone who sails and reads a lot of books about the history of sailing? Terror is entirely the correct emotional reaction.
Tumblr deleted my long ass rant while I was in the middle of writing it so you're spared and will only get a summed up version
Long story short; your abs are supposed to be covered with a healthy, protective layer of fat. The shape Jason Momoa is in during his movies is achieved by a diet designed to lower his body fat to unhealthy numbers, dehydrating him and enhancing his abs with make up. This is what ripped, muscular, healthy person looks like on their off time. If you think this is a dad bod, for the love of everything that is holy, shut up and absolutely never comment on a man's body ever again. I mean hell, you can still see his damn v-line, what fucking dad bod has that?!
Don't believe me? Google some bodybuilders who are off their contest diet. The men who literally make a living for having defined muscles. For 360 days a year, they do not look like the way you think they do. During a bodybuilding contest, these men's body fat is under 7%, they're dehydeated and covered in fake tan that helps the muscles show up. And it's literally only for that day, because it's extremely unhealthy. Same goes for actors who are known for being ripped - they're at their worst when they're filming. This exact same shit happened with Vin Diesel few years ago with people getting a paparazzi shot of his "beer belly" and I'm genuinely worried of the young men who grow up in this society thinking being muscular means having defined abs 24/7.
Jason Momoa looks ripped and healthy, yall are just blind with unrealistic standards.
@warriormale I think this content would interest you.
Itâs not about looking âManlyâ with big muscles and no fat.
Manliness instead is the ability and willingness to fight.
Fighting actually produces and nurtures Manliness.
Manliness includes fight skills, a trained and conditioned body and most importantly the Moral Virtues of Humility, Integrity, Selflessness, Self Control and showing Respect.
Itâs a lot more than six pack abs.

Hugh Jackman stated that he dehydrated himself severely when shooting the Wolverine movies to make him look more ripped and have his veins stand out more.
Dehydration is NEVER good.
It dangerously lower blood pressure, can bring on a severe headache and can cause brain damage.
Stay hydrated, especially in summer.
