Transmigrate as the villainous stepparent(mom) cdrama. Ft BatLantern style! Part 2/?
*slowly stretches my shoulders, bones were definitely not broken at the process*
Hal began to have his calendar scheduled.
Damian insists that he and Hal should visit art museums and zoos, even urging Hal to be there at his art recital. Even his whole menagerie came to love Hal due to this. Hal loves this sweet kid who simply needs someone other than his brother to guide him. Hal would happily take Damian everywhere he wants. Where the fuck is Bruce anyway?
Dick sometimes asks him of things, like taking the rest of his siblings to school or dropping them home when he couldn't. Sometimes Hal takes the initiative and took his eldest sibling responsibilities off him just to get a break. Dick is so grateful for it that he accidentally slipped up and calls Hal "Dad". Hal doesn't know how to unpack with that honestly.
Duke sometimes goes to Hal for advices, or about his homework. Hal happily helps him with stuffs, even dragging him to skateboarding with Tim and someone named Stephanie. Duke even asks him to attend his PTA meetings for him. Hal sometimes spoil him with ice cream when he's having a bad day.
When Tim heard of the others starting to warm up to Hal, he decided to ditch work (he doesn't even what to be a young CEO anyway) one day and see it for himself. Hal was bewildered when Tim suddenly started asking of his interests, but relents when Tim kept pestering him about his day. So much for laying low. It's a surprise that he and Tim likes going to the arcade with friends or alone whenever they had time (or money). And it turns out, Tim's pretty clever that he and Hal sometimes solve advanced physics together. Hal loves spending time with the little genius. It concerns Hal why would a highschool kid like Tim was overworking himself at his father's company.
Jason is next to hang out with Hal. Because Bruce has been away so much, Jason develops a habit of disappearing to who knows where just to see if Bruce still cares of him. Hal gets to show off his motorcycling skills, and Jason makes him a honorary member of his gang. At least he's not doing drugs or anything, Hal has been reassured of that.
Alfred, honest to god, sometimes invites him to help in the kitchen, garden, or to have tea with. Hal is literally sympathetic of his age that he starts to enjoy spending with him. Hal inevitably relax when doing mundane things with the old man, even starts helping with housework in order to help Alfred’s burden at home. Alfred is delighted to have him around.
Cass simply hives Hal a pamphlet of her ballet recital, and of course, Hal goes there in order to support her step daughter. Cass became sad that Bruce texts her that he forgot about it, that he'll attend next time. So to cheer Cass up, Hal takes her to bowling. They got icecream afterwards.
Honestly, why the fuck is his husband neglect his kids in favor of finding his first love??
Then Hal realised that the original owner actually tried becoming families with the family, but he had no clue how, and ends up disrupting the peace they made with it. Though, the novel only revolves around the main characters, which is why the original villain wasn't mentioned much aside from being a pain in the ass.
When Bruce finally came back by the end of the month, he noticed how different the manor had been lately. Dick wasn't as busy as before, both Jason and Cass were home, Tim seemed to give up his work at WE in favor of school and being a kid, Duke openly talks his day to the family, and Damian didn't threaten to stab someone for once. Even Alfred seems to age younger.
Bruce is aware something changed. In the center of all this? Hal.
His children seemed to ask for Hal’s presence instead of his'. Dick no longer screams at him on private for being away most of the time. Jason ignores him whenever they meet. Cass simply acknowledge him but had nothing to say afterwards. Tim kept reducing his time on the company because "he had better things to do". Duke kept looking for Hal at home. Damian allowed Hal in his art room while his hoard of pets kept circling around Hal. And Alfred tells him of his time in the manor as usual with Hal being a good company around.
Bruce doesn't know how to handle with this fact, at all.
