Hot take, but I think the more recent OEA community very commonly forgets or excludes survivors who didn't go through severe MC or programming, despite those individuals likely being the most common victims. So, just a reminder, you don't have to be programmed to be an OA survivor.

Genuinely stop using RAMCOA systems to try to justify your nontraumagenic "systems" all the time.

Programmed alters do not willingly split. They split due to a VERY specific type of abuse. You know, abuse? The thing that traumatizes you? Trauma?

You insist that you can have alters without having any form of trauma, just your own willpower, but your "example" is created through abuse and trauma.

"But! RAMCOA systems!!" Not a valid argument.

Secret Keeper - a programmed alter who refuses to tell anyone certain information, whether it be about abusers, details of abuse or similar

Flag Meaning : The blue represents hidden information, or secrets. The gradient of colours represents how the secret keeper may be hiding different information from different people (ex: what can be "public knowledge," vs what can be known by abuser A vs what abuser B can know). The icon in the center represents holding secrets and the flag entirely mirrors the Tattletale flag as these roles are similar yet opposite.

When I was initially searching I wasn’t able to find these easily so! RAMCOA information:

- End ritual abuse (links to even more resources on the website, haven’t looked at many of them)

- RA-info

- Extreme abuse survey

- Becoming yourself: overcoming mind control and ritual abuse (note: heavily recommended to go through with a therapist or someone you trust rather than alone due to triggers and safety issues. Even if you don’t have a therapist please try to have someone nearby who can intervene if something gets triggered)

- this paper seemed promising regarding information on therapy and recovery, but I can’t find a freely available version:(

- Ritual abuse and mind control: The Manipulation of attachment needs (note: not full book, haven’t read it yet but I want to)

Might gather research done on it at some point, but I know the first three links ended up being incredibly helpful with figuring out what was going on in my system and it took a while for me to even find them so. I hope this helps someone else

Why does nobody ever talk about the rubberbanding of multiplicity? (For lack of a better term to describe this phenomenon) The way that you will express your opinions and then you feel a strong pull from another alter who disagrees and wants to voice their opposition to you. The way that you always feel like you're stretching a rubber band and waiting for it to snap back and force you to conform into what the other alter believes again, and the farther you pull the rubber band away from them the tighter the tension is and the harder it will snap back again. (Not sure if this is the case for all systems or for specific types such as programmed systems.)
