Just some thoughts on the Jedi
Okay so we all know that the Jedi are Empaths, but I never really thought of what it might mean until now and HOLY SHIT there's a lot I missed.
warning this will likely be more of a ramble than anything else
okay so we know that emotional imprints are a thing but like what that mean for the temple would make it seem like paradise, because the Jedi have always loved each other, they are like a family after all, so the temple have thousands of years of peace and love wrapped up in its walls. I could see certain meditation spots being used for the younglings to start learning meditation, because theirs already so much patience and peace wrapped up in the room, or after a while Jedi researchers start using the same room because they can feel the focus that so many other Jedi had when they themselves were discovering new things. baby psychometrics being able to see the happy memories of their fellow Jedi around the temple, like if the touch one of the murals in the temple they could see the artist making it like wow!!!!
There's also a part of me that Headcanons that the imprints of the temple are strong enough that non force sensitives can feel it as well, so like when they enter they just get a feeling of peace and safety that the temple is steeped in.
and like since they’re empaths that opens up a whole new way to communicate, like I’ve seen it used in some fanfics, but its usually just brushed over??
like could you imagine how easy it is to know your fellow Jedi care about you when you can feel it, feel their caring affection, not needing words that can’t always can truly describe they message you want to get across. Like in the creche if one youngling is sad a bunch of other could project worry comfort love towards their fellow crechemate, or being able to feel the happiness of one youngling and it spreading to a bunch of others in a happy chain, or seeing something go on and you can just look at your fellow Jedi because you know they are feeling the same amusement as you. like it could be a whole language for them, communicating in the emotions and impressions they have.
It would mean shielding is also taught early because if left unchecked it could be so overwhelming at times, especially out of the temple where there so many people feeling so many things all at once, and not to mention that it could also be practiced in games in the creche, like hide in seek, where the Seeker uses the force to try and sense the hiders who while physically hiding, also shield so the seeker can't track them down via the force
just aaaahhh its just so cool, and I can't help but wonder how else it could affect their everyday lives
