Feeling a bit agitated by what the scale said this morning? ⠀ What if I told you it’s not a bad thing? ⠀ GIVE ME 2-3 MINUTES of your time, and I promise that by the end of this caption, you’ll be much less upset about your heavier-than-normal weigh-ins. ⠀ Deal? 💪😁 ⠀ ~ ⠀ Tracking body weight is a super helpful tool for analyzing progress. ⠀ Problem is, most people don’t know how to do it properly... ⠀ They’ll see their weight day-to-day (or just once a week) and think the single number flashing up at them is all that matters. ⠀ Maybe it happened to you… ⠀ You weighed yourself this morning, saw a 2-3 pound spike from the previous day, and think it’s 2-3 pounds of pure fat. 🤬 ⠀ ... NO! That’s not what happened at all! ⠀ The 2-3 pounds you see has nothing to do with fat. ⠀ It’s water you’re holding onto plus food that’s in your belly-bum that’s yet to leave your system (💩) ⠀ Stick to your plan — the things YOU can control — and that weight will flush right out. 👌 ⠀ ~ ⠀ Unfortunately, most people take a different route... ⠀ Instead of getting back on track, they’ll drastically cut calories, do “guilt” cardio, or just quit altogether. ⠀ 𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗽. ⠀ You know that your weight on a single day does NOT define your progress as a whole. It’s 100% normal for your weight to fluctuate up and down 2-3 pounds. ⠀ Stay focused on what YOU can control (your consistency with diet & exercise), and you will make progress. ⠀ – Rohit ⠀ PS. Few things... ⠀ 1. From now on, when you weigh yourself… ⠀ ✅ Take your weight daily (FIRST thing in the morning, AFTER using the restroom, and BEFORE eating/drinking anything). ⠀ ✅ write down that data somewhere. ⠀ ✅ use it to see how your AVERAGE weight changes on a week-to-week & month-to-month basis. ⠀ 2. If you don't wanna weigh yourself, that's totally fine. ⠀ But if it's because you're scared to see the number or get emotionally attached to what it says every day, that's a problem. ⠀ The scale doesn't "define" you. ⠀ Actions define you.
