This is literally what people are talking about when they say AI will be used to mainstream widely held bigotry. LLMs are trained on frequency and probability -> straight relationships are more well represented in the dataset -> straight pronouns and terms become the "correct" normal.
This is a form of backdoor bigotry from both normative facts (there are more straight than gay relationships) and well represented bigoted beliefs (men are superior to women).
Combine this with the mass of people inclined to believe (and being encouraged to believe) that if AI says and does something it must be correct
"what if you regret it" what if I don't?
I understand your point, however this maybe wasn't the best post to cross my dash while I'm fighting the temptation to text my ex.
this is about transitioning DO NOT TEXT YOUR EX ITS NOT WORTH IT DONT DO IT
A terrible fact of fandom is that sometimes people who absolutely suck and have stupid takes are going to enjoy the exact same things you do and the only thing you can do about it is sit there with your mutuals who don’t suck like:
"the block button, my liege?" will enter my vocabulary now

One thing I love putting in my fantasy and scifi that so many stories I read don't have is superstitions that are just wrong. Astrology type shit. Wizards being assigned an elemental type that's supposed to determine their personality just because that's how it's been done for centuries because ages ago people believed in it and these days people are like "no of course it's a silly superstition haha" but still glance knowingly at your metal type tattoo when you're being headstrong. Societies who believe that the stars determine your destiny because see, this kid was born under the star that indicated intelligence so we pushed her in school and got her special tutors so she could live up to her potential and look, she IS more academically successful than her peers born under other stars! People talking about their religion in the far future and all the side characters are like "that sounds like fucking nonsense" and they're like "no it's TRUE" and the audience is like 'no that's nonsense'. I love inventing shit for characters to just be totally wrong about.
I also love making them wrong about the past but that's just a fun thing that most far future scifi gets to do.
This is also a useful tactic for reminding readers not to trust characters' perspective too much. Like, yeah, that person did just give a very smart-sounding detailed analysis on the current situation and predicted to the month how long it will be before war breaks out, but they also believe (incorrectly) that the ghosts of previous captains live on in the hull of the ship and think humans invented dolphins by combining human and whale DNA, so don't be too surprised if they turn out to be wrong. The narrator said it's "the biggest spaceship ever built" but she's six years old and just learned what a sheep is, so. Might have a limited perspective.

Sorry to keep banging on about this! I just have a few days left to meet the funding goal!
Blumineck is trying to fun a video series doing fun and serious historical and fantasy testing in fitted plate armour.
Thank you all so so much, you wonderful, mad bunch! I woke up this morning to find that the project had met its funding goal, and despite inching closer over the last few weeks, I think there was still a part of me that didn't believe that this would actually happen.
Massive thanks to all of you for contributing, sharing etc. I have a lot of people to contact and confirm things with, and will keep you all updated with how things are progressing.
I can't wait to get testing, and will begin weighted training etc. asap so that I can hit the ground running once the armour is complete!
If you specifically want any of the funding tier rewards then you’re welcome to contribute, as additional funds will go towards production costs, but as of now we have raised enough to cover the cost of the armour, maille, and filming, so the project can begin as soon as the kickstarter concludes on Friday!
Wohoooooo!! We made it!!!
Congrats y'all and congrats @blumineck, it really feels like history is being made here 🥳🥳
Cannot wait to see those in-armour moves!!
I will not elaborate.
@sergle is correct

It’s the final few days of the Bluminarmour Project! After some issues with Kickstarter let’s see how far we can get!
If you want to see fantasy tropes, historical movement and silly tricks tested in authentic full plate armour, please consider chucking a few quid over (or like and share this post):

Update on this:
Kickstarter removed my highest funding tier so I lost £11k of funding since earlier today.
BUT
I’ve managed to get the deadline extended in light of this. So this might still happen!
We’re into the last week now! This is close enough that I think this could actually happen, but it’s still got a way to go!
If this is something that interests you, please consider donating or sharing!
@adorkastock care to signal boost this amazingly original and fun project?
There's a Stock Reference Photoshoot tier:
"Backers at this level will receive, in addition to their name in the credits, a set of 100+ high res photos of different historical and fantasy poses in full armour, taken from a range of angles. Ideal for artists, animators, and others who really like the details of historical armour and how it sits in different poses."
There's only a couple days more until the campaign ends!
