Today I present a 9 generation legacy challenge that bases on doing things that you probably don’t do in your game.

Generation 1 - The Animal Lover

Traits: Dog Lover, Cat Lover, Ambitious

Aspiration: Friend Of The Animals

“I’ve always been drawn to interaction with animals in all forms, so why wouldn’t I give them all the love and affection I have?”

Rules:

- Live in Brindleton Bay

- Open a vet office and get it to 5 stars

- Have at least three pets (can be rodents)

- Master the Veterinarian skill

- Master the Pet Training skill

- Have ONE child

- Never get married (Be a single parent perhaps?)

Generation 2 - The Stay At Home Parent

Traits: Creative, Family Oriented, Childish

Aspiration: Big Happy Family

“My parent gave all their love towards animals and left me hanging. I want to make it up to my children and give them everything I never had.”

Rules :

- Marry as a young adult

- You’re not allowed to work, but your spouse is

- Have at least five children (one of them has to be an alien or adopted)

- Spend at least two day a week doing voluntary work with your family

- Master the Parenting skill

- Master the Baking skill

Generation 3 - The Cook

Traits: Outgoing, Materialistic, Foodie

Aspiration: World Famous Celebrity

“I spent all of my free time in the kitchen so of course I made a career out of it.”

Rules:

- Open up your own restaurant and get it to at least 4 stars

- Marry an employee at the restaurant

- Have at least 2 kids

- Master the Cooking skill

- Master the Gourmet Cooking skill

- Become a five star celebrity chef

Generation 4 - The Party Animal

Traits: Goofball, Dance Machine, Noncommittal

Aspiration: Party Animal

“I can’t live freely if I can’t party!”

Rules:

- Date at least three people before finding a spouse

- Marry as an adult

- Have at least one kid

- Have at least three jobs within your lifespan

- Master the Dancing skill

- Master the Photography skill

- Have at least two social gatherings a week

Generation 5 - The Gamer

Traits: Clumsy, Nerd, Lazy

Aspiration: Computer Whiz

- You’re not allowed to work as a young adult

- Enter the Tech Guru career as an Adult

- Earn your money from gaming tournaments and programming

That’s Louis Rossman, a repair technician and YouTuber, who went viral recently for railing against Apple. Apple purposely charges a lot for repairs and you either have to pay up or buy a new device. That’s because Apple withholds necessary tools and information from outside repair shops. And to think, we were just so close to change.

This guy inspired me to repair my own macbook. First of all, you should know that I am not… like, I have to look up HOW to look up what my computer specifications are. Tech, that ware either soft or hard, is not a subject in which I experience comfort or competence. But my puppy peed on my keyboard, and I asked the apple store, or the fucking mac cafe, or the godsdamn Computer House Chill Zone or whatever cute ass name they have for their bullshit store, and they said it would be TWELVE HUNDRED DOLLARS TO REPLACE MY KEYBOARD. I’m not even exaggerating.

So I asked the internet, well how hard IS it to repair? And I saw this guy’s video, and while I am no techie, I AM fueled by spite, so I was all “oh, they do that shit on purpose specifically so they can charge me $1200 bucks or make me buy a new computer hunh? FUCK THEM” and I bought all the tools I needed for about $25 and I bought all the parts I needed for about another $25 and I watched a few tutorial videos, and I replaced my own keyboard.

So, once you are doing the actual deed, it becomes pretty obvious that they are finding creative ways to make this much harder than it has to be on purpose. On thing that stood out to me is, instead of all the tiny screws being the same size, there are about two dozen very slightly different sizes. They could easily be all the same size, or like, two sizes at most, but no.

These mother fuckers will take a panel that screws into place and they’ll use a different size screw for each corner. They are so close that you almost cannot tell them apart visually, but they each will only screw into the matching corner. Like, it’s a pretty clear “fuck you” to anyone trying to do repairs.

Random fact: Verdana is one of the few fonts which was specifically designed to be as easy to read as possible, even at smaller type sizes. Reblogging for later reference after I tried it earlier today to try to calm down. It actually does help a lot, not just for sleep but if you have problems with anxiety.

My default mental setting is “vibrating intensely in the background.” After doing this, I felt noticeably calm and relaxed - I wasn’t as fixated on my breathing, I wasn’t tense, my movements weren’t jerky and I didn’t feel like I had to be as tense as possible to be under control. 10/10 would recommend.

I once went to a concert with a friend (I don’t remember the band, she dragged me along) when I was 16. They were starting a wall of death and this guy who was flirting with me decides it would be funny to pull my top down, exposing my breasts, then throw me in the middle of this wall of death right as it’s about to meet. When I stumble in the middle and hit the wall someone screamed “STOP! EXPOSED GIRL!” and I thought they were all going to oggle at me. Instead, one guy quickly helped me cover up, three more helped me to my feet, and another asked who did that. When I pointed out the guy, two of them looked at him, me, each other, then nodded and punched the guy in the face before forcing him into the wall that was about to form again.
