This page is a collection of different works for a variety of fandoms, hence the user name. You can call me Random, just the shortened version of my handle, or anything you find suitable. I prefer She/Her pronouns or gender neutral terms if that is easier.
This post is a quick introduction of myself, a few of my fandoms, and links to my library (aka the main master list), rules, and requests.
This blog was made solely for me to have a place to dump all the random works that I create. I’ve yet to make a full fanfiction, though several are in the beginning stages, but I do a lot of one shots and drabbles.
I don’t upload super frequently as outside of this I’m a big participant in several things that take up a ton of my time.
Everything you’ll find here is something I came up with and wrote because I had fun doing so. I write based on what I enjoy because that’s what I have the best time with and what turns out the best! All of my works can be found under the #randomfandomworks tag!
Here is some of the fandoms I’m a part of:
Spider-Verse
The Arcana: A Mystic Romance
Love and Deepspace
Epic The Musical
FNAF
How To Train Your Dragon
OHSHC
Ninjago
Harry Potter
Stranger Things
Dispatch
And More!
Here’s a link to my library (main master list), rules, and request guidelines. In rules you’ll find information regarding things like translations and fanart, whereas requests simply outlines what requests I accept and what may happen when you send one in!

Thank you for reading all of this! I hope my blog is a welcoming place for you and that you find as much enjoyment in my works as I did writing them!
I BEG for a happier version of salvation 😭😭 I was on the verge of BAWLING my eyes out at that ending man 💔 I need a new ending which is not so upsetting
OKAY OKAY OKAY
I HAVE HEARD YOUR PLEAS AND HAVE COME TO YOU WITH GOOD NEWS
Since I published Salvation many of you have requested a Fix It AU, and I am happy to finally announce that said AU is in the final stages of being written.
I have entitled this work “Redemption” and am very proud of how far it has come.
I will be working on it for a bit longer but it should be published within the next few days. That being said, please be patient with me as I continue to make small (but hopefully helpful) edits.
For now you may use this post to inform me if you’d like to be tagged in “Redemption” when it eventually comes out! (Or if you have any questions you’d like me to address)
Thank you for your continued support and encouragement, I promise I am working as hard as I can to make a satisfying story for all of you 🫶
Thinking about how Asra is so patient in their love for you.
Three years of secret glances and quick touches. Three years of being close with you, but not nearly enough. Yet even still, they give you the space you need to grow. Even if at times neither of you like it.
And when there’s finally a chance at something more, something from before that they’ve desperately been yearning for, they don’t rush, don’t push. Instead they follow your lead.
They trust so much in the love between you both. They know it will return. They don’t hope, no, they aren’t one for such wishful thinking anyway. They know.
Know in the way you relax at their voice. Know in how you reach out to them, relying on them. Know in the late nights you’ve spent together working tirelessly to further your magic.
Asra knows you. They know the past love is still part of you, blooming over time. So they wait, and will continue to wait for as long as you need.
Asra Alnazar x Reader (My take on the Arcana x Hadestown concept)
CW: Mentions of Sickness, Abandonment, Death, and Grief, Asra is referred to with He/Him pronouns (I will do better about this moving forward)
“Do you really want to go?”
“With all my heart.”
“With all your heart? Well, that’s a start.”
The plague affected the land first, it turned lush grass into dust, poisoned the waters, and made good harvest impossible. It spread far across the lands killing thousands. Times were hard, people went hungry, with the only distraction being the annual masquerade.
For a few days a year the palace provided a haven for those struggling. Food was dished out plentifully, clean drinking water and wine were served, and for once those lingering in the streets felt relief. They danced and sang. They drank and embraced.
Each year you returned with the crowd, searching for that same solace. A poor traveler who’d experienced so much hardship, even at such a young age.
You were quiet, a ghost that came and went without notice, or so you believed.
In truth there was someone who noticed, a young man who stood against the crowd. He too was struggling, but he had something to provide, a spell. One fashioned in his home outside of Vesuvia. In the forest which should have died long ago. But instead it continued to grow, solely because of the man’s magic, his spell that acted as a protector.
Even unfinished the spell granted new life into the earth. It kept the trees lush and the flowers blooming.
With such a gift he could grant you what you’d been waiting for. And you could give him the ability to finish it.
Perhaps then the land would become plentiful once again.
Perhaps then you would stay here, with him.
Though he would never initiate it on his own, as proven by the years past. So his mentor, the powerful arcana of The Magician stepped in, twisted fate, and forced you to bump into one another.
The contents of the man’s bag scattered across the cobblestone, vials of different spellwork ingredients, herbs, and the like. You apologized hastily, bending down to help clean everything up.
“It’s alright,” he spoke, his voice smooth, almost familiar, “I really should’ve looked where I was going.” He laughed. His curls falling across his face.
You couldn’t help your stare that lingered on him. Breath catching at his grin. Though as he looked at you in turn you averted your eyes to the vial in your hand. Inside was clippings of a certain flower, one with the sole purpose of magical work.
You handed it over to him, hand ghosting over his for a beat too long. “Are you a magician?” You ask, your eyes returning to his own. You watched him nod, gaze intent on you. You hummed in interest as you stood. “Well, I’m sorry for bumping into you.” You smiled, glancing around as the crowd thinned heading towards the palace. “But I’d better get going. I’ll see you around.”
He stood, watching as you turned away. For a moment he let it happen, let you step back out of his life, but then a familiar force came to the air. Whispering to him, urging him forward, urging him to say something.
“Wait!” He called, seeing you look over your shoulder to him. “Why don’t you stay?”
You squinted at him curiously, “Stay?” You questioned, turning back towards him, “Why should I?” You continued, a playful smile crossing your face.
“Because…” his voice trailed off, eyes trained on yours, “because I have something to show you.”
You let out a soft laugh, your soul growing more and more curious as you watched him, “Me?” You ask, “But I don’t even know your name.”
“Asra.”
You feel your eyes grow wide. Asra. Why does that name feel familiar? There’s a tug on you, pulling you closer to the mysterious man before you.
As if knowing what you’re feeling he offers a hand to you. “I can’t show you here.” He comments, his eyes truthful. Part of you feels you should hesitate, back away. But the other part, the one that seemingly recognizes the man before you, pushes you forward.
You feel the buzz of magic as you take his hand. This you know. Magic is strange to some, a mystery, but to you it’s been the one thing you can rely on in such desperate times. And this man, Asra, seems to be a powerful magician if you’ve ever met one.
He leads you out of town, weaving through the backroads, and into the fields that surround the area. You knew of the forest on the outskirts of Vesuvia, the one that continued to grow despite everything around it wilting. But Asra moves through the land on muscle memory, twisting and turning with the trees until you enter a clearing.
Looking around you could envision what once may have been here. You can see blooming flowers of the past, soft and lush grass. But the ground that surrounds you is nothing like that. Unlike the rest of the forest it's yellowed and dying. Strange.
Asra pulls you into the center of the clearing, “I’ve been working on something.” He admits to you, his violet eyes reflecting the bright stars above you both.
“What do you mean?” You ask, naturally moving closer to him as you search his face for any clues. A sudden smile crosses his features as he looks at you.
“A spell.” He whispers and your eyebrows furrow. Surely he didn’t bring you all the way out here for that? Of course he was working on a spell, what kind of magician wouldn’t?
“I don’t understand.” You comment, “Why did we come all the way out here for a spell?”
His gaze lingers on you, a hint of amusement hidden behind it, “You’ll see.”
He pulls away from you then, the buzz of his magic leaving with him. It seems as though the world goes silent as he begins to cast his magic out.
Usually magic moves silently, takes form without being seen. But as Asra begins on his spell there’s a ringing in the air, like the hum of a wind chime, and a hazy purple light covers the ground beneath you. It flows into the ground, lighting up the dying roots of the earth. And slowly the ground begins to grow back, the grass springs up, swaying with the force of the magic at play. Soon after flowers poke through the soil, blooming on the spot and filling the clearing with a beautiful meadow.
As you listen to the hum of Asra's magic you can feel it melt into yours once again. It buzzes against your skin once more, his purple fading into your aura. It’s unlike anything you’ve ever experienced, and yet it feels right, like returning home.
Slowly his spell comes to an end, the hum and aura fade away, but the new growth of land remains. He bends down to examine the flowers as you finally find the will to speak, “That was incredible.”
He grins up at you, softly plucking a flower from its place as he moves towards you, placing it behind your ear, “Thank you.” He gives, sincerity lacing his words, “But it isn’t finished yet.” His smile drops as he looks around letting out a sigh.
“Even so, it came to this?” You ask also glancing around the newly bloomed meadow in astonishment. His grin returns as his eyes train onto you, “You have to finish it. I mean imagine what you could do.” You comment.
“That's why I need you to stay.” He admits.
“What?”
He sighs, bringing his hands to yours. “I’ve tried to complete it, but it’s hopeless without the right motivation.” His hold tightens on your hands, “But each year when I see you at the masquerade, it’s gotten, I don’t know, stronger?” He watches as your eyes widen, “It’s become strong enough to protect this entire forest. And if you stayed, if we worked on it together, maybe it could finally get finished.”
Your mind stalls thinking over the prospect. You’ve never liked to stay in one place long, each time you do it becomes worse and worse for you. But maybe this time things could be different? Maybe with Asra by your side, for once in your life, everything could be alright?
“My aunt has a magic shop,” you say, watching Asra's eyes meet yours, “I’ll be there. I’ll wait for you.”
Asra flashes a brilliant smile, laughing as he pulls you into a tight hug. “Thank you.” He whispers, his breath tickling your ear before he pulls away slightly, “Sorry.” He apologizes.
You shake your head, pulling him back against you, feeling the power of his magic meet yours. “Don’t be.”
With Asra at your side the masquerade felt different. Suddenly it wasn’t a place for you to escape hunger and hard times, no, Asra showed you a side of the festivities you’d never experienced. With him you began to actually enjoy the celebration.
He led you to booths you never gave a second glance. Introduced you to people you’d simply passed by for years. With him you found yourself laughing, smiling, and dancing.
You found yourself living.
Asra was like a light, chasing away your darkness. A warmth that filled your chest and protected you from the cold wind you’d spent so long running from.
Everyday since you’ve met with him. Together you work on the spell, weaving it together, making it stronger as your connection grows. Now, you lay in the meadow with Asra. The grass is soft against your back as your eyes watch the sky. You think of everything that has happened, think of everything that has brought you to this moment, mostly you think of Asra.
You can’t help as your gaze moves from the sky to him stirring next to you, waking from one of his usual naps. His gaze holds on the clouds above you both before it meets yours.
“Good morning.” He says, face framed by the grass.
“Actually it’s the afternoon.” You comment, smiling as you watch him think it over, “I was wondering,” you start again, “What will happen with us once this is over?”
His face scrunches, as though that prospect has never crossed his mind, “What do you mean?”
“I mean,” you sigh, “You only need me to complete the spell. Once it’s done, what will happen?” You ask, your tone taking one of someone far too accustomed to the pain of abandonment.
He grows silent at that, watching you with a newfound intensity. Slowly his hand comes to trace your cheek. You don’t realize how you lean into his touch, how you lean into him until you’re mere inches apart.
His movements are careful, giving you all the time and space you need to move away, to turn back. But instead you lean forward, meeting him halfway in a kiss. It’s soft, yet intense, pouring everything you’ve failed to say into one moment. You can feel his heart beat steadily against yours even as you separate, just a breadth away from one another.
“I love you.” He murmurs, quiet, but real.
You suck in a breath, “I love you too,” you breathe out, eyes locked on his, “But, will it always be this way?” you ask again uncertainly. For as long as you’ve known good things never last, they run out, or you run away.
He smiles at you, “As long as you want me, I’m yours.” He admits.
Your eyes bore into his, searching for any kind of lie, but you find nothing. “Even forever?” You ask, and he laughs, his chest moving against yours.
“Especially forever.” He clarifies, pressing his forehead against yours. You let out a breath of relief, melting into him, and absorbing everything about this moment. Committing it to memory.
Unfortunately not even the most powerful of magicians can promise an eternity to someone.
The sickness came on sooner than you or Asra had realized. It conquered the lands, infecting hundreds, killing dozens.
And even if the spell had come far, it was never meant for something like this. It couldn’t keep the two of you safe, nothing could anymore. Even your love for one another.
Instead it turned against you.
In face of the hardship before you Asra proposed leaving, distracting yourselves with the spell until the plague blew over. Perhaps distance could keep you safe long enough to change the spell into something that could protect you both permanently.
The idea astounded you. How could your Asra, the same man who worked tirelessly on a spell to save everyone from the hunger and dying earth, be so willing to abandon them in their times of need. No, you couldn’t go. Not now. Not when they need you most. For once in your life you weren’t going to run.
It broke your heart to see Asra go without you. But you had work to do and you couldn’t let him slow you down.
However as the plague took over your senses it dawned on you that perhaps he was right to leave. Maybe had you gone you wouldn’t have to deal with the heavy pain and exhaustion of the illness. But even then you didn’t have to put up with it for much longer.
At least you had helped. Perhaps your work would lead to a cure. Or perhaps you were just one person amongst the thousands who would die of such an unstoppable disease.
As you took in your final breath there was one person that came to your aid.
“Asra?”
No. This figure was familiar but it was certainly not the man you love. It was a figure of great magic, an arcana, Death.
They led you to their realm, a place seemingly familiar, a replica of Vesuvia, the city you lived and died for. Here you were safe. Here no more harm could come to you, nor could anyone else reach you.
As according to the deal that Death offered you. No more pain. No more hardship. Just the place you had learned to call home and the great arcana. Wasn’t that better than whatever else could become of you?
And so it was. But there are some people who cannot handle such an outcome. There are some who would go to the furthest extremes of fate for those that they love.
And the magician you fell in love with was certainly one of those people.
He returned for you soon after your death, searched all of Vesuvia until his mentor revealed the hard truth to him and told him it was already “…too late.”
“Too late? I don’t understand. Where are they?”
The Magician looked upon him with what could almost be described as pity. The arcana never tended to get involved in human affairs, perhaps because they were too powerful, or perhaps because they could never fully grasp the humanity of emotion.
“Why do you want to know?” They ask, dancing around the question.
“Wherever it is, is where I’ll go.” Asra answered.
Then his mentor laughed, looking down upon him with an intense interest. “Why the sudden change? You didn’t seem to care about leaving them behind when the plague started.” The arcana watched a hurt flash over their prodigy’s face, watched as he steeled it away and looked to them with begging eyes. The Magician let out a sigh, “And what if I told you they were gone?”
“Gone?”
“Yes, gone. Gone to a realm that is completely outside of your conception. Gone to a place you cannot follow. Gone into Death's domain.”
Asra shook his head, as if trying to shake the thought from his mind, “No,” tears sprouted in the corner of his eyes, “you’re lying.”
“Arcana can’t lie, my dear student.” The Magician informed, almost hurt by the assumption, “You know, they called your name before they went. But I suppose you had gone too far to hear.”
Asra could feel his heart break with each beat, each moment without you could only cause more hurt. And hurt men can’t help but bargain. “What do I have to do? Where do I have to go? What will bring them back?”
The Magician stared at him, puzzled, “Do you…really want to go?” Out of all the emotions humans experienced, love was perhaps one of the most confusing, and yet one of the most powerful.
“With all my heart.”
“With all your heart?” The arcana’s gaze traced over his figure, landing on his chest. They could see the magic flow through it, pulsing as Asra stood before them. “Well, that’s a start.”
The grin that split across The Magician's face told Asra this would not be an easy road. But anything was better than losing you for good.
Besides Asra would never give up on you so easily, and even the slightest chance of getting you back he would take. So he cheated people, betrayed trusts he built for years, made sacrifices others could never dream of, for you.
He crossed dangerous realms, putting himself on the line for the mere prospect of seeing you again. And so he did.
He found you exactly where he had expected to, in your meadow. Your features delicate as you rested on the grass. At first it didn’t feel real, he’s been traveling for so long, that it felt like his senses might be betraying him.
Not until he had you in his arms again, until your eyes opened to meet his own, did he finally believe it to be true.
“It’s you.” You whispered, voice soft with disbelief.
Asra could feel the tears that threatened his eyes as he looked down at you, “It’s me.” He confirmed, nodding as he brought your foreheads to rest against each other.
He closes his eyes, holding you tight, as though you’ll slip through his fingers like the ash he had found you as before.
You watch him, retrace his face with your eyes like you’ve done a million times before. “I called for you.” You admit, the meadow stilling at your confession, “Before…”
“I know,” he cuts you off, tears beginning to slip from his eyes as he finally looks at you, “And I’m sorry.” He continues, “All of this is my fault. If I’d been there…”
“No,” you cut him off in turn, cupping his cheeks and wiping away his tears with the brush of your thumbs, “There’s nothing you could’ve done. But what does it matter? You’re here now.” You comfort, “I waited, here, for you. I remembered the flowers and you by my side. I knew you’d find me.” You admit.
He smiles at you, love overtaking the sadness behind his gaze.
“But how did you get here?” You ask, suddenly remembering the solitude that came with your deal.
“I walked,” he says, a laugh slipping out at his words, “through realms I didn’t know existed. And I made deals, and hurt so many people in the process.” He confesses, his tone turning guilty, “But it was worth it. Because now we can go home, together.”
You look at him for a long moment. Under your eyes every part of him is revealed, the pain, and guilt. The soul of a broken man who has just barely started to heal. And part of you breaks knowing what comes next.
“No we can’t.”
Your words are distant, a truth you don’t wish to speak. Your gaze falls from his, the weight of your words making you unable to meet his eyes.
“Of course we can,” he pushes, “I know the way.”
You sigh, tears now threatening your own gaze, “Asra,” you start, your voice breaking, “you don’t understand.”
Asra stays silent, watching you. In this moment you seem so small, fragile, so unlike how he last remembers you. Finally words come to him as he takes your hands into his, “Then help me to.”
Your eyes move back to his. And for once in what had felt like eternity you are surrounded by his support once again. His thumb brushes over the back of your hand, patient. He’s here, and he will wait for you just as you’ve waited for him.
“I’m not here by chance.” You admit, “When I died, Death came to me. They made a deal with me.” You pause, words weighing on your shoulders as you focus on him, “They brought me here, they’ve kept me safe, but…but my soul belongs to them.”
Asra's eyes widen, gazing down at you as he takes it in. Your words work through his mind and sink heavily into his heart.
It takes him a moment, as he sits and holds your hands close, before he can bear to speak again.
“Then we’ll have to strike a new deal with them because I’m not leaving without you.”
Death awaited you in the palace, the only place you hadn’t dared to go in your time here. It was cold, empty, unsettling. Yet Asra walked in without hesitation, a desperate man ready to strike a deal.
Your footsteps echoed off the pristine tile, filling the room as you made your way to the arcana.
“There you are.” Death greets, sitting high upon the once familiar throne of the palace, you feel your hand tighten around Asras. Death's voice wasn’t harsh, it was lulling, unsuspecting, and calm. But it sent a chill down your spine regardless.
“You knew we were coming?” Asra questioned, standing just a hair in front of you.
Death let out a booming round of laughter, one that resounded off the walls of the palace and seemed to multiply, “You foolish boy,” Death started, readjusting on their throne to observe you both closer, “I know everything that goes on in this realm.”
Their words make you hesitate, make you feel you should turn back. But Asra stood strong, his hold on you filling you with newfound confidence, “Then you should know why we’re here.” He commented, staring up at the arcana.
A sickening smile spread across Death's face as they stood. “Why naturally.” They spoke, “But you should know that I’ll require something in return.”
At this you attempted to pull Asra back. Deals with Death are never easy, you for one can attest to that. But he simply looked back at you, his gaze comforting. Well, if he didn’t plan to go then it seemed you would both have to stay.
“What is it you want?” Asra asks carefully, watching as Death moves closer to the two of you.
The arcana stays silent for a moment, studying the two of you. “I’ve heard,” they start, “that you are rather talented at tarot.” Asra nods, eyes never leaving the figure before you. “Give me a reading.”
What?
Suddenly you both look at each other, confusion plastered on your faces. What could an arcana need a tarot reading for?
“If it’s accurate,” Death continues, uncaring of your confusion, “I will tell you what you need to take your love home with you.”
“And if it isn’t?” You dare to ask.
“Then you will remain here with me, and he will return alone.”
You looked to Asra with pleading eyes. It couldn’t be this easy. There had to be some trick, something Death hadn’t told you both. But he had already come all this way. He wouldn’t give up now, not with you here, not when he can feel your hand in his.
Asra nods, slowly, “Alright.”
And with a wave of Death’s hand a table appears before the three of you. Death sits across from Asra, who lets go of you to begin the reading. You stand close behind him, listening in.
The shuffling of the cards fills the room, drowning you alongside your worries.
The deck is cut, cards are chosen, and slowly flipped.
For a moment everything is overtaken by silence. For a moment you can’t bear to breathe. Until Asra lets out a deep sigh.
“So,” Death speaks, “What do you see?”
Asra looks at the arcana, conflicted. He has to get this right. For your sake. “The cards say,” he starts, hesitating, “that you’re lonely. That no matter how many souls you take their bodies are still cold.”
The room falls back into a tense silence, Asra can barely meet Death's eye. All he can do is hope that his skills haven’t failed him.
Slowly Death begins to clap, followed by a rumbling laugh, “You truly are quite the magician.” They comment, leaning back in their seat.
Asras gaze shoots up in disbelief. He got it right.
A grin breaks out on his face as he looks to you. “Does this mean I can bring them home?” He asks.
At his words Death's laughter grows greater. It raises the hair on your arms. “You think one little reading is enough? Did you do any research before coming here?” They laugh.
Asra's smile falls, “What do you mean?”
“There are rules that must be followed boy, for the good of fate. If they’re broken, your precious lover won’t be the only thing you lose.”
Asra looks hard at the arcana before you both, “So what do I have to do?”
Death’s laughter finally dies away and instead a grin paints their face, its presence is almost worse. “You have to make a sacrifice, some grand gesture of love. You have to give up half your heart.”
“Half my heart?” Asra questions, “What do you need half my heart for?”
Death almost sighs, “I don’t,” they say, “but fate does. In order for balance to remain, you must make this sacrifice. So the question is: you’ve come so far, hurt so many, is this final choice one you’re willing to make?”
Asra looks to you, his gaze desperate. You try to speak, try to convince him not to. It’s not worth it. But your voice fails. Or rather something prevents you from speaking at all.
“This isn’t your decision,” Death comments, their stare burning on you, “it’s his.”
Asra's gaze remains on you as he speaks, “It’s an easy decision.”
“Really?” Death questions, leaning forward. Watching as Asra moves to you, taking your hands in his own.
His gaze is soft on you. Comforting despite the circumstances. “My heart is already yours.” He says, “Half is the least I could give.”
You let out a sigh. Once again words fail you, but not because Death is holding you back, because love is. You pull him close, engulfing him in a tight hug until Death speaks up once more.
“Then I suppose you should be on your way.” They say, the table vanishing as they wave you towards the palace doors. Allowing you to exit their realm and make your way back to reality.
But Death isn’t an easy person to bargain with, and their deals are often not what they seem. You could return sure, take another breath, have a heart beat in your chest again. You could live. But you could never remember.
And truly what is a person without their memories?
Enough hopefully, for it was all Asra had left of you. And this time no amount of bargaining or back stabbing could change that fate.
He’d done exactly what he sought to do. You were here, in his arms once more, with no threat of losing you hanging overhead.
But it wasn’t right, and you, the one he had fallen in love with, would never truly exist again. But perhaps that’s how it was meant to play out all along.
Hi! I couldn't find if your requests were open or not so feel free to ignore this! So sorry if they're closed
Can I request Sun/moon x a shy/anxious reader?
(Ignore this bit if it's too specific!)
But like, they REALLY like them but would rather chew bricks than be the first one to walk up and start a conversation about anything. Just kinda goes along with whatever they do or want help with without complaint. Also not super important so you can cut this too but they get excited easily and their absolute joy and whimsy tends to slip out sometimes and they get overly embarrassed about it (as in will avoid them for a few days out of pure embarrassment)
Have a nice day/night, I really love your writing!!!
Sun x Shy/Anxious!Reader x Moon
Word Count: 1.8K+
Warnings: Depictions of slight violence and harassment, abandonment (kinda), and panic attacks
(It sounds worse than it is. Please let me know of anything else.)
A/N: Hi! Sorry this took so long, I explained this somewhere but I’m very rarely online. As for requests currently my requests are always open, you can find the guidelines for them here. Aside from that I hope this is what you were wanting! I've never written a shy reader type before so this was interesting for me. Thank you for your request and I hope you enjoy!

It’s already an hour past the daycare’s usual closing time as you lean against the security desk and chat with Sun. It’s a laidback, casual conversation, a nice change of pace from the usual happenings of the daycare. He stands before you, consistently refusing to go behind the security desk despite how many times you’ve nervously invited him to.
You can only recall once when he’d ever broken his own rule, a while back when you’d gone radio silent for a few days. He didn’t know then that it was because you’d grown embarrassed over some of your prior actions and too enthusiastic of conversations, because frankly he’d never seen anything wrong with your excitement. But your silence was wrong, the unsettling kind that nestled in his chest and simply forced him to reach out to you, even if it meant going to where he was supposed to be restricted.
Hidden behind your shared talk is soft laughter from the playplace, Amelia, a sweet and energetic child still remains. Even despite the fact that you should’ve closed ages ago.
You attempted calling her guardians, several times, going down the list of emergency contacts to no avail. So you’d been left with no choice but to wait. She didn’t seem to mind, rather she was thrilled by the idea of more time with you and Sun. But you were worried. There had never been an occasion where a child hadn’t been picked up right away, much less one where you’d been unable to reach any of their contacts. It made you anxious.
Sun did his best to steer your mind away from your worries. Making an attempt to cheer you up with stories about the kids or the other animatronics. But nothing helped more than just simply keeping his company.
It takes another half hour, and several games played with Amelia, for her guardian to finally arrive.
As usual you handle the paperwork as Sun prepares Amelia to leave and sends her outside the daycare to wait, but the closer you get to the security desk the more you wish you’d asked to switch.
The man who stands in front of you is tall, taller than you at least. He has a bored look plastered over his face as though being here is a chore. He’s Amelia’s father, the one you’ve had the misfortune of meeting a handful of times. His attitude upsets you the most, how could he treat this situation this way? Abandoning his daughter for hours just to saunter in without care?
You have to force yourself to swallow your disdain as you speak with him. You smile as you pass him the checkout paperwork but it’s painfully forced.
“Thank you.” You give as he hands back the quickly signed forms, “There will be an extra charge added to your tab for the overtime.” You explain as you file the papers, expecting that to be that.
But he just looks at you, long and hard, and it makes you feel uncomfortably small. You don’t say anything, you can’t. Every word dies in your throat at the mere idea of confrontation.
“What extra charge?” He asks slowly, every word laced with a venomous tone.
“There’s a fee for leaving your child after hours.” You explain carefully, your voice coming out as small as you feel, “I mean we have to find some way to pay for the staff and materials used in that time.” You look down from his gaze, wringing your hands carefully as you wait.
It’s silent, a tense uncomfortable silence which makes every moment that passes feel like a knot in your stomach.
You look up to meet his sneer as he glares down at you and almost flinch away. “I’m not paying any extra charge.” He argues, “I didn’t have time to pick her up, so I took a couple extra hours, so what?”
You look at him for a beat, wishing that this could just end already but being too scared to speak up about it.
“It’s a mandatory charge.” You choke out, “and I think it’s best you leave now.” You attempt, waving your hand gently towards the exit.
You watch him carefully, watch as his face twists up, watch the slow realization that he’s stronger than you, watch as he reacts quickly, watch as his hand takes a firm and unbreakable hold on your wrist pulling you in closer until he’s speaking directly in your face as you struggle to get away.
What you don’t see is your co-attendants quick reaction to the now escalated situation. You don’t see him standing behind you, far taller than both yourself and the parent, looming over the both of you before he grabs Amelia’s father’s collar. Sun easily pulls him away from you until the man’s eyes meet his, the parent drops your wrist allowing you to back away as Sun handles him.
“Attacking daycare staff is strictly forbidden,” Sun explains, an anger behind his voice that you’ve never heard nor expected from him before, “You are banned from the daycare!” He shouts, lifting the man up and tossing him outside with ease.
You hear him scramble up from the ground and say something to Amelia before he retreats away, and it should be enough to calm you, but it isn’t. Your legs shake, your breaths come and go raggedly, your rubbing your wrist as if hoping the actively blooming bruises will disappear, but they don’t.
You close your eyes, trying hard to focus on something, anything, other than the situation from before. Nothing comes to mind, nothing that sticks, nothing that calms you down or evens your breaths. Nothing until you feel a tight embrace around you.
Your eyes shoot open, surprised. You’re pulled tightly against Sun's robotic chest, his arms wrapped a comforting tight around you.
You let out a breath, a steady sigh, and allow yourself to sink into him.
For all your times avoiding Sun and Moon out of embarrassment you could never find comfort in anyone as much as you do them.
You stay like that for a moment, pressed against him. His embrace never wavers, never readjusts, he just holds you as though it was all he was ever built to do.
“Thank you.” You eventually mumble, after your breaths have steadied and your shaking has stopped, “You really didn’t have to.”
“It’s no problem Sunshine!” He returns happily, “Hugs help to interrupt the fight or flight response that happens in high stress situations by sending a signal indicating safety to the autonomic nervous system. It’s part of me and Moon's programming! Because it can be easier to hug people, especially kids, than it is to make them see reason or figure it out themselves.” He explains cheerily, looking down at you as he continues to hold you close.
“Interesting.” You comment, smiling at him, “But I meant about handling the parent, you really didn’t have to.”
You look away then, a heat coming to your face as you finally realize just how close you and Sun are.
For a beat nothing happens, the air stills and it remains just the two of you, together, in an embrace. Then Sun moves away, bringing himself down to face you. You don’t look away. For once you don’t shy away from him, from the closeness.
“Of course I did Sunshine.” He speaks up, “He had no right to speak to you that way. No one does.” You smile gently and he speaks up again, “It’s a few minutes till the start of the next hour, that’s when the lights will turn off. You just relax here for a bit and let me clean up! Moon can escort you to the front after the lights go out.” He offers.
You don’t argue, partially because you don’t have it in you but also because you could never bring yourself to disagree with Sun or Moon. As far as weaknesses go they’re your biggest ones.
Sure enough at the start of the hour all of the lights dim into darkness. There’s a whirring in the daycare, and suddenly Moon appears next to you. He takes a seat beside you behind the security desk, never caring much for being seen as a rule breaker unlike Sun.
He should be escorting you out, making quiet conversation as you head to the front of the Pizza Plex, but instead he simply sits. The silence is comforting, but it makes you think, your mind going back to just moments before. You wring your hands as they rest in your lap. It’s a subconscious movement, something you aren’t even aware of. Not until Moon takes both your hands into his own, effectively stopping you.
“Starlight…” he starts, watching as your gaze dips away from his own, “Are you okay?”
“Yeah,” you mumble, still looking away, “I’m fine. You guys worry too much.”
Your words hang in the air, giving time for Moon to think them over. “Really?” There’s a playful tone to his voice now, “Because your heart beat seems irregular, so either you’re still recovering from the stress or nervous about something else.” He suggests, leaning in closer to your space.
The movement catches you off guard but the hold you have on his hands doesn’t falter, his doesn’t either. However you do attempt to argue, try and save yourself from the assumptions he’s making.
“What?! No, I’m not-“ you stutter, “My heartbeat isn’t irregular!”
He chuckles at you, bringing his hands and their hold on yours to lay flat against your chest, forcing you to focus on the feeling of your heart beating against your palm. It should be effective, should prove his point, and maybe it would. Except the only thing you can seem to focus on is him.
“Sun wouldn’t let me handle that parent,” Moon comments, “which is smart I suppose. I wouldn’t have been nearly as nice.”
You laugh gently, bringing you and Moon's hands to your lap as you fidget with his fingers. Finding a way to bring your attention away from him, a distraction. “Thank you,” You say, “both of you. For standing up for me.”
Moon remains silent, watching your fingers move against his before reaching up to cradle your cheek. He looks at you then, like you're the most precious thing he’s ever known. “You deserve better than being treated like that. The least we could do is make sure of it.”
You make an attempt to look away, but Moon simply drifts his hold to your chin, tilting your gaze back towards him. “Starlight.” He says, his tone far more serious now, “We will always be here for you.”
Before you respond the end of day announcement cuts through the air, telling all staff to clear out of the building. You look to Moon as he stands and extends his hand to you, letting the conversation go. What he said is true, you know that just as well as he does, and he decides that that is enough.
Soon the lights will inevitably turn back on and you will get a goodbye with Sun. But until then you and Moon walk in a comforting silence to the front of the Mega Pizza Plex, hand in hand, as if it was always meant to be this way.

Simon couldn’t decide what was worse: the immense feeling of dread that hung over the submarine or the sweltering heat inside of it, but both he decided to ignore. If he does this, he earns his freedom, simple as that. So long as the C.O.I. keeps their word there should be no issues.
The vessel shakes, chains rattle from above, and a voice cuts through the static of the speaker.
“Beginning the descent.”
The tone is final, fact, as if actually saying there’s no turning back now. It doesn’t address him, not yet, it exists to inform, to follow a protocol he’s unaware of. He’s unaware of everything down here, no training, no way out, just the vast ocean of blood and him.
“Mission clock started.”
The submarine sinks further, moving slower as it fights against the pressure of the blood outside. And for the first time since being welded into this death trap he’s finally addressed directly.
“How are you feeling convict?” The voice hangs on that word, as though it feels out of place, “Ready to do some good?”
Does it matter? Whether this turns out to be helpful or not it gains him his freedom, that’s all that really counts. Yet he replies anyways, “Yeah.”
The voice turns back to procedural, he’d hardly recognized the shift. Speaking to him, it wasn’t the stern tone from before. It wasn’t drastic, whoever on the other end certainly wasn’t a friend, but it existed. It was nice, a sliver of empathy in this situation.
“Cruising depth in two minutes.”
Another jolt comes as the submarine continues downwards.
“There seems to be some voltage irregularities with the instruments so keep an eye out for sparks, flames, those kinds of things.” The shift in tone happens once more as the voice over the radio talks to him. But even that change can’t hide the fear the warning brings.
“Flames?” He speaks up, “Why would there be flames?”
A small sigh, then a response, “We don’t know, but I thought I should warn you.”
“You did test this thing, right?”
Another voice cuts through the line, it's irritated, and suddenly Simon realizes just how much warmth the other person possesses in comparison.
“This is the test. Now stop with the questions and focus on the mission.”
There’s a rustling on the other end as he assumes the microphone is being passed back. There’s a scoff, a muffled argument, and then the original speaker comes back.
“Sorry, that was our captain. She doesn’t really appreciate questions.”
“You aren’t the captain?”
A laugh, real, quiet, but real. And then, “No, I’m just the radio operator but don’t be fooled I’ve been here just as long as her and know just as much. I’ll be leading you through this.”
That’s helpful. At least he assumes it is.
“Okay, you’re approaching cruising depth. We’ve welded you in as tight as we can, and the ship is basically a tank, but be cautious about how deep you go. It can take some pressure but there’s a limit, the terrain is unpredictable but try not to wander too far into the red. Got it?”
“Yeah I understand.”
“Alright, there’s going to be several points where the radio cuts out. We don’t have a strong enough signal to reach everywhere you’ll be going, but I will do my best to stay with you as long as I can.”
He doesn’t know if he should be reassured or not. But judging from the fact that he has no clue what he’s doing, and whoever is speaking to him seems to, he chooses to be content with it.
“Closing porthole shielding.”
He watches as the glass in front of him is slowly covered, questions arising in his mind the longer he sits. “What is it exactly that I’m looking for? No one’s told me what it is.” He asks.
The captain’s voice comes back, harsher than before, “We don’t know. You’re the first one down, all we have are surface scans. Which is why you’re there.”
He turns to the control panel, it doesn’t look like rocket science, but some training sure would’ve been nice. The captain’s voice continues to disrupt his thoughts.
“You know we salvaged that glass from Filament Station? Not a scratch on it. Pretty lucky. Funny how some things survive and others don’t.”
It felt mocking, as if every word was chosen deliberately to bring him down. Luckily it isn’t long before the radio operator takes over.
“Approaching maximum depth. Find the coordinates on the map, document as instructed. You’re entering a dead zone so we won’t be able to reach you for a while. Good Luck.”
Some of the words get garbled because of what he assumes is a bad connection but there’s no time to focus on that. The sooner he starts this expedition the sooner he can be released.
The ship groans under the pressure of the sea, it echoes off the walls and makes everything feel hollow, empty. The sound reminds him that he’s alone, trapped at the bottom of an ocean, for god knows how long.
It’s the next day when the voice comes back.
“Convict? Are you there?”
There it is again, the evident distaste at how they refer to him, at what he is: a convict.
Simon hesitates at first, he knows what he’s doing, any distractions waste time he can spend on his mission. But whoever is on the radio is there to help, to inform, he has no reason not to respond.
“Yeah. I’m here.”
“Good,” they say, a short sigh coming with it, followed by a yawn.
“You sound tired.” He points out, unsure as to what this conversation is supposed to build towards. But he figures he might as well engage with it, it’s not like he gets any other interaction down here.
A chuckle mixes with the static of the speaker, “Thanks for noticing, I didn’t sleep much last night. I was too worried.”
Simon checks the angle of the submarine before he speaks again. “Worried? Why? Is something going wrong?”
“No, no, I mean nothing drastic,” the voice reassures, “It’s just that we were supposed to be able to make contact with you again yesterday and our signals never came through. I was worried something may have happened to you.”
That’s…confusing. Why would they be worried about him? Isn’t that the whole point of sending down a convict? Because they’re disposable?
“Me? Why would you guys be worried about me?”
It couldn’t have been that they were concerned for him. The photographs maybe or whatever evidence he’d gotten from being down here, but not him surely.
“Well they weren’t, not as much as they should’ve been anyway. I don’t know. I guess, for me, the idea of sending anyone into an unexplored ocean of blood is nerve wracking. I’d want them to come back safe, convict or not, we’re all people.”
He takes in every word, thinks them over, as if trying to find some kind of dishonesty. No one in the C.O.I. cares about the convicts, it’s that simple. And yet whoever was on the other end of this did care. They cared immensely from the sound of it. It’s strange, it’s been a long time since Simon could say someone cared about him.
“So you stayed up all night worrying about me?” He wonders aloud.
“Yeah, I guess I did.”
At least someone was looking out for him. But even so this conversation wasn’t furthering the mission in any way, which is what he assumed they were supposed to help with.
“Hey, so, when this oxygen meter hits the last light that means I still have like a quarter left right? That’s not zero is it?”
“Right.” The voice responds, “The ship has enough air to last one person a good while, but try to get the mission done soon. You don’t have a lifetime supply or anything.”
Good to know. He’d wished he’d known it sooner, but that was the case for basically everything.
“I’ve found some interesting stuff down here,” he continues, “I don’t know if you guys can see any of it but I think you should take a look.”
“The photos upload to us after a little while, how close are you to completing the mission?”
So they can see what he’s found, interesting.
“I have a few spots left to investigate but hopefully it’ll be over soon.”
“I’ll make sure to add that to my report. You’ve done some good work, I’ll check in again soon but keep it up.”
With that the line cuts out and he’s left alone again. He thought these conversations were supposed to be about information and nothing more, so why is it that without that voice the submarine feels darker than before?
Whatever, it doesn’t matter, the voice will be back again soon but the ocean that surrounds him isn’t going anywhere. He has to seek out his assignment or he’ll never be free. He needs to focus, and not on the sudden loneliness the silence brings.
By the time the voice comes back it’s the least of his worries. A skeleton unmarked on the map, the ship shaking, everything feels unstable. He’s ready to leave, freedom be damned. He just wants to live.
The voice fills the space, it's nervous, falling over their words as they rush to check in with him. “Hello? Are you okay? What happened? What’s your status?”
He groans, being flung around in a tight space doesn’t feel great, “I’m here.” He mumbles, pushing himself up.
“Okay…okay.” They breathe a sigh of relief, “Is the ship damaged at all? What happened?”
“I don’t know,” he replies.
A disagreement comes from the other line, what he makes out of it is someone concerned about the ship's hull integrity, and the other is concerned about him. Eventually one voice, which he assumes is the radio operator, gives up and the captain’s voice takes their place.
“Convict, is the ship damaged? Is the hull okay?”
“I don’t know! You never told me anything would be down here!”
“Is there a problem with the ship? We have to know before we send you back down.”
Back? What does that mean? No way in hell was he going back after experiencing that.
“No fucking way! I’m done! Bring me back up, throw me in prison, I don’t fucking care! I’m not doing this.”
He starts to get angry, talking over every point the captain tries to make, ignoring everything that comes over the radio. Ignoring everything until it turns back to the operator's voice. “Hey, hey!” They start, gaining his attention, “I need you to calm down and listen to me, okay?”
“I’m done.” He mumbles again.
“Alright, we can talk about that in a minute. I need you to investigate the ship for hull damage, because if you fell, and if there’s damage, that means leaks. And leaks mean you die. So, can you please calm down and look?”
He takes a breath, listening and looking around. No alarms go off, no blood floods in, everything seems stable, everything except himself. “Yeah,” he hesitates, “everything seems fine. I think.”
“Okay,” they say, a breath of relief is hidden as they pull away from the microphone. A mumbled conversation comes from the other side as the situation is relayed to everyone above, “We’re going to check on your progress well everything settles.”
“Settles?”
“Remember what I said about the terrain? How its unpredictable? That’s because it isn’t rock, it’s not solid, just congealed blood and some gas bubbles.” Behind their words is some kind of chaos, overlapping voices, speaking about who knows what. But the radio operator stays on the line with him. “Are you okay? A shift like that can damage the hull but also the people inside the sub, any injuries?”
“Maybe a few bruises.” He speaks up, looking himself over.
“Nothing's broken?”
“I don’t think so.”
“Good.”
Something about their tone, their voice, their words, is comforting. Maybe it has something to do with being down here alone for so long. Or maybe they’re genuinely growing on him, either way he couldn’t think of any one else he’d want on the other side of this right now.
Though just as soon as that realization comes the captain’s voice takes over the line once more. “Convict, did you find a skeleton?”
“Yeah.” He mumbles.
A conversation is still held on the other end, orders are given, questions are asked, but eventually the attention is directed back to him. “Convict, are you absolutely sure it was a skeleton?”
“I mean, yeah, I’ve seen a skeleton before. How stupid do you think I am?”
Silence for a moment. Not even a sound comes from the radio before her voice comes back.
“We’re pulling you up. Standby.”
The ship shakes, moves, and he’s tossed around a bit more as garbled words take over the other end of the radio.
The next interaction he has is face to face, the porthole shield lowers and in front of him is the captain. Questions are asked, answers are given, and she turns to discuss with her crew. But the decision is made to send him back down.
“You’re not listening to me!” He argues, “There’s something else!”
She turns back to him, analyzing his desperation.
“It’s not like I don’t want the deal, I want it. But it’s not worth it. Not for me, and not for you.” He reasons, “You’re not hearing me when I say there’s something else. Something alive.” Simon takes a minute, thinks over his words, what he knows, who he knows. “Where is the radio operator? I want to talk to them, they’ll understand.”
“No can do.” The captain responds, “This is my crew, and you report to me, this isn’t a call you get to make. You’re going back down. We’re putting an attachment on the front, all you have to do is point it in the right direction, it should grab on to something.”
“So what do I do? Just ram it?”
“Yeah, pretty much.”
An argument ensues, this isn’t right. He’s done his part, he’s done more than his part. They need to uphold their end of the deal. And they just aren’t listening.
But the camera, the x-ray, wasn’t his fault. He didn’t know. They couldn’t have expected him to.
“Drop him.”
And it was done, quickly, without any adjustments or hesitations. It jostled the sub and tossed him down. A voice came over the radio, a new one, unfamiliar. “Calmed down yet? You can’t be too upset, not after the stunt you pulled.”
Simon groans as he pushes himself up from the ground, “Who are you? Where’s the operator? I want to talk to them.”
“No can do. They’re helping to take Jack, you know that guy you irradiated? To the medical staff, so you’re stuck with me.”
Great, sent back down to hell with an unfamiliar navigator and a death wish of an objective. Whatever, get the sample, get out, and then he’s free, surely.
No matter what some fucked up message from another pilot says. He’s making it out of here alive.
A voice cuts through the static after his discovery of a missing skeleton. This time it’s familiar, welcoming, at least the operator is back, not everything has gone wrong.
“Hello?” They start.
“Hello? Can you hear me?”
“Yes, yes I can hear you. What’s going on?” They ask.
“You mean why am I moving away from where the skeleton is supposed to be?”
“That among many other things, but we’ll start there.”
He takes in a deep breath, analyzing the map against the control panel. “This is going to sound made up.” He murmurs, “But the skeleton is gone.”
“Gone?”
“I’m at the coordinates but all it is is a big hill. Maybe it got buried, I don’t know.”
“Hold on.” The voice disappears for a few moments, and he waits. A few pictures are taken, to double check or just to pass the time, he isn’t sure which. “We’re picking up something a few meters ahead of you.” The voice chimes back in, “Just keep heading that way.”
“Roger that.” He says, and silence overtakes the sub once more. Condensation builds on the walls and drips down to the floor. “Can I just ask something?”
“Fire away.”
“Why is it so damn hot in here?”
There’s a laugh somewhere on the other side, “I’m not completely sure. I bet there isn’t any kind of air circulation or conditioning in the sub so that probably has something to do with it. But also an ocean of blood is warmer than one of water so it’s likely the heat from outside is affecting the inside as well.”
Simon groans in response, that means there’s no way to fix it. Not besides removing a few layers. The movement must catch the attention of the operator because now they take their turn to ask a question. “What are you doing?”
“What do you mean? I’m still heading towards the skeleton?”
“Yeah, but all I can hear is rustling on your end. Is everything okay?”
He laughs gently, “Yeah, everything’s fine. I’m just taking off a few layers. If there’s nothing I can do to fix the heat I could at least try that.”
“I guess that’s true.” They start, “But you’re not like completely stripping down, right?”
He laughs then, fully, for the first time in a long time. “No,” he reassures after a moment, “No, we haven’t reached that point quite yet.”
“Good. Because if we pulled you up after this and you were completely naked it would be quite the first impression.” They give, sharing in his soft laughter.
“First impression? Does that mean I’m actually going to get to meet you when they pull me back up?”
There’s a silence on the other end, a quiet internal debate. “Yeah.” They respond finally, “You’ll get to meet me. And I’ll get to meet you.”
Simon can’t help the smile that comes to his face, the thought is nice, something new to look forward to. Until it’s interrupted by the controls beeping, warning of an upcoming obstacle.
The skeleton. Right. The mission.
But the picture is wrong, this isn’t how it was before. And no amount of ground shifting could have caused it.
“What do you mean?” They ask.
“It just doesn’t look right.”
“Okay, well,” they hesitate, “can you still get a sample?”
He looks over the picture again, “Probably. But this doesn’t feel right.”
“I know, I know. But if you come back without a sample they’ll send you right back down. So just, gather what you can, they’ll have to deal with that.”
“Then I’m free?” He asks.
“Yeah, then you’re free.” They reassure.
And hearing it then, from them, a direct answer. Fills his chest with something lighter than hope. If this is really it. If this is all he has to do. To be free, to meet whoever’s been leading him through this, it’s well worth it. But there’s something else, one other worry that plagues him. “Even after what I did? With the radiation?” He worries aloud.
“That wasn’t your fault, besides you upheld your part of the deal. It’s time for us to do the same.” They reassure.
“I am sorry. I never meant for that to happen.” He continues.
“I know. I don’t blame you.” They start, their words catching, as if they want to say something more, dig a bit deeper, expose more of themself to him. But instead, “Let’s get this over with, yeah?”
He sits back down, staring at the controls, “So what? I just ram into this thing at full speed?”
“I guess so. I’m no engineer but the hull is expertly welded, it’ll hold, and it should take most of the impact. So just go for it.”
He sucks in a breath, nothing about this seems thought out, but it’s the quickest way to being a free man. So he pushes forward, the coordinates spike up, the lights blink faster. There’s an impact, and then? Nothing.
“I think I got it.” He speaks up, hesitant.
“Are you sure?”
“Let me check.” He backs up and takes a picture. Nothing much has changed aside from a hole in the jaw. “I think I got it, there’s a hole in the jaw.”
“Really?”
“Yeah, at least I’m pretty sure.”
“Okay, good.” A conversation is muffled on the other end before the voice comes back, “Hold onto something, we’re bringing you up. See you on the other side.”
The line cuts off into static and he sighs, he’s finally done. He glances back to the picture. Looking it over, but in the top corner, hidden behind the skeleton is a blur of something else.
He tries to speak up, to warn them, but it’s too late. They begin pulling him up.
“Hold on! Something else is down there!”
The voice cuts back in, “What do you mean “something else”? Something alive? Are you sure?”
“Yes! Yes! It was looking directly at me.”
He hears a gasp on the other end, but it’s the least of his worries as the sub begins to rock and resist ascending.
“Something’s got me!”
“Okay hold on!” The operator says, and he overhears an argument between them and the captain. They want to cut the line, release the sample, save him. But the captain argues the sample is too necessary to lose. The argument fades away as the sub rocks harder, flinging him against the walls once more, knocking him out cold.
By the time he wakes everything is dark, echoing with groans from the hull, it's eerily more lonesome than before.
He can’t keep track of how much time passes, not between mapping his area, discovering things he shouldn’t, and having experiences beyond belief. No, time is the least of his worries.
When he finally makes contact with someone again, it isn’t right, it isn’t true, it isn’t real. A light of hope given to him just to be extinguished in the end. Perhaps it was symbolic, a look into what lies ahead for him.
He’s abandoned, alone, besides the creatures that have clawed their way into his mind. The things he’s seen, heard, and lived are everything but true. Or perhaps they are real, and everything outside of what exists miles deep in an ocean of blood is what’s false.
His mind can’t keep up, his heart races, trying to come up with anything to keep him sane. And that’s when he hears it.
The voice that’s guided him for so long. Through the dreary darkness of this sea, and into the light of their words. The radio operator from before. The only one to care, to empathize, to make him laugh in such a dire time.
“Hello?”
But how could he believe it’s real, how could he buy into that after everything? What if it’s just his mind playing tricks? Attempting to give him exactly what he wants before it’s finally over.
“Is that really you?”
Maybe it’s better not to respond. To ignore it until it passes. Maybe that’s what he should’ve done before.
“Are you there?”
But it’s so much easier to allow yourself to snap under the weight of it all, “Stop fucking with me.” To let it out on whoever crosses your path, real or not. “I’m done, I’m done being fucked with. The radio is broken, you aren’t there, you aren’t you.”
The line goes quiet, contemplating, but the person on the other side continues. “I don’t understand how you survived. It’s been days, you should’ve run out of oxygen ages ago.” The voice chokes up from gentle sobs, he’s alive, somehow.
There’s a rage that builds within the submarine, a rage that builds within him. “What did I do in the hangar?”
“What?”
“What did I do? How many people were there?”
“I don’t understand.”
“Just tell me!” He pushes.
“Three! Okay? And you used the camera which blasted them with an immense amount of radiation.” The voice steadies, “How are you alive?”
“You’re lying,” he continues. This isn’t real, not after everything else, “It’s not possible.” The radio is unbroken, still completely intact. But how could that be true? “What’s my name?” He whispers, a broken kind of whisper. The kind that reveals damage, but only to those who care to look, and they were certainly that kind.
“I’m so sorry,” they hesitate, stumbling over their words, “I don’t think I ever asked for your name.”
“You sent me down here to die without even knowing my name.”
The sentence is painful, mostly because it holds the truth, “I never wanted you to die. I don’t think that they cared, and I should’ve spoken up for you, I should’ve tried harder, but I don’t want you to die. I never have.” That’s true too, at least he thinks it is. They’ve only ever shown compassion, only ever tried to help. But even so he’s still trapped. “Look, I don’t know how you’re alive. We all thought you died days ago, I mean you shouldn’t have enough oxygen for this. I’m glad you’re still here. But how are you still alive?”
“I really don’t know, I don’t know. But I think I’ve done enough. I just want to go home.” He begs.
“I know,” the voice cuts in, calm, caring, “just hold on. Let me talk to everyone and we’ll come up with a plan.”
He tries to compose himself as he listens in, hearing only a dispute on the other side but not being able to make any of it out. He assumes it’s between the operator and the captain, as usual, which means it can’t be anything good. It seems harsher than usual, more intense in the way it carries on. Whatever is happening, whoever is arguing, neither is backing down.
After a long while of muffled arguing someone finally speaks to him again. This time it’s the captain, “Convict?”
“Yeah. I’m here. So what’s the plan? How am I getting out of here?”
The line goes quiet and then, “I don’t think that’s going to be possible.”
It’s a punch to the gut. After everything, all that he’s gone through, all that he’s learned, he’s just another sacrifice they’ve chosen to make. “Not worth it”. Never enough, not until he has what they really want. Information. Information from SM8 that they couldn’t recover otherwise.
It’s foolish that this is what it takes. What it takes for them to care enough about him. But it works and the deal is made.
But it goes wrong, so wrong, even in comparison to everything he’s already gone through. More blood is claimed to the sea, whispers turn to screams, and he’s faced with a choice bigger than himself.
When he returns from the crawl space, drenched in blood with the black box in hand, the radio operator’s voice greets him. “Hello? Are you there? What’s going on?”
Even with the desperation that laces it, the concern in the tone, the nervousness behind each word, it still takes a weight off his shoulders. Let’s him breathe as if it’s his first and last time.
“Hey.” He greets simply, slipping to the floor to fasten the life vest around the black box.
“Oh my gosh, you’re alive.” The anxiety fades into relief, “I was so worried, what happened? Where did you go?”
“The crawl space, I needed to get something important.”
“Okay, well, are you alright? The thirty minutes is almost up, are you at the meeting point?”
“I don’t,” he hesitates, choking on his words as if he himself doesn’t want to believe it, “I don’t think there is a meeting point. I don’t think I’m getting out of here. I don’t think I was ever supposed to.”
“What? What do you mean?” The anxiety comes back in a wave of concern and questions. Questions he can’t answer.
“Can you, just talk to me? Please.” His voice is tight, close to tears. And it melts away everything else entirely.
“Yeah,” they respond carefully, “I can do that. What do you want to talk about?” It’s kind, gentle, so much of the little he’s felt in life. It’s all here, from a stranger. No, not a stranger, but someone who’s turned into something far more.
“Tell me about yourself. We never shared our names, I’m Simon.”
“Simon,” you test the name on your tongue, and it feels more natural than anything you’ve ever said. In turn you introduce yourself. You don’t know what’s happening, not in the safety of your spacecraft. But you care enough to stay, to console him. “What else do you want to know?”
“What do you look like?” His voice cuts in, “I don’t want to die without imagining it.”
That’s a hard one, how do you describe yourself to someone? What would he notice first? What would he care to know?
“Well, I’m wearing this shitty required uniform from the C.O.I. that looks exactly like everyone else’s. Because apparently individuality is a sin around here.” His laugh comes in, it’s soft, perfect. You’d only heard it once or twice but you’d never get over the way it made you feel. You think for a moment, and remember the files aboard the ship, “Simon, next to your chair is some binders. In the blue one is an overlook of everyone you may speak to on your mission. If you find my last initial you’ll see my page, and a picture of me. You won’t have to imagine anything.”
You hear movement, slow, deliberate. Then pages turning over until that too stops. The line is quiet, and you aren’t sure what to make of it.
You don’t see how he’s mesmerized by your smile, how his fingers trace the edge of the photo like it’s sacred. And maybe in this moment, maybe to him, it is.
“You’re beautiful.”
Your heart skips a beat. It’s genuine, full of an adoration you’ve never heard before. And you aren’t quite sure how to respond. Luckily he speaks up again.
“Have you ever seen me?”
You look at the files on your desk, and the first thing to meet you is his mugshot, then medical records, and several other reports of either photographs with him or words about him. Since the beginning of this expedition you were supposed to know him inside and out, not personally, not as a human, but as a criminal. But even still it didn’t take away how you felt, how he made you feel.
“Yeah, I’ve seen you.”
“What do you think? Someone you’d maybe let take you on a date?”
“A date?” You chuckle, “Where would we go? There aren't many places since the quiet rapture.”
“I’ve never liked the idea of something flashy anyway, I’d much rather just talk with you. Maybe make dinner together. Simple, sweet, easy. As long as it’s with you it wouldn’t matter.” He explains.
“That sounds nice.”
You smile, it really does. And if you close your eyes tight enough. If you shut out everything besides him. You can almost see it, the two of you, together. You don’t realize that he’s doing the exact same thing.
“You never answered my question, would you even go with me?”
“I would, you look like someone I’d be happy with, really happy. ”
You hear him sigh, grateful to hear your true feelings.
“If I’m going to die,” He speaks up again, “I think you deserve to know, that I think I’m in love with you.” He laughs at his own words, as if realizing how unbelievable it sounds.
You suck in a breath, “Simon.” You gasp out, voice tight.
“And I know that’s crazy to say considering we’ve never met face to face. But you’re the only person that’s ever made me feel like me. Not The Butcher, or The Convict, just Simon. So, I love you.”
You hear the ship groan on the other side, something is causing movement, something is coming. You hear as he moves around, preparing himself.
You don’t see how he tucks your picture close to himself, don’t see how he struggles against the blood ocean overtaking the sub. Or how he gives one last smile at your choked out, “I love you too.”
All you hear is the silence that comes after. There’s no static, no radio to pick up on, there’s no one on the other end. Just you, alone, and the memory of a man you’ve never even met.
Falling in love with a voice isn’t the best decision one could make. It’s a hopeless feat. But when that voice is the only thing to bring light to the darkness of yourself, you stop caring about how realistic the end goal is. Especially when surrounded by a vast ocean of blood and they exist as your only salvation.
A FIX IT AU FOR THIS FIC IS CURRENTLY IN THE WORKS LEARN MORE ABOUT THAT HERE!
I had this idea since I first watched the movie but honestly I don’t know how to feel about the final product. I’m most definitely going to revisit this if Iron Lung comes out on streaming or physically because I’m sure I can make this better if I could analyze the movie. This is actually based on the several times I’ve gone to see it, so it should be pretty accurate. In fact one time was solely dedicated to making sure this followed the plot well enough. So hopefully you guys enjoy this belated Valentine’s gift, I’m also working on requests right now but that’s a whole separate thing.
I also kind of want to post this on AO3, but I don’t even know where to start with that, or if I like this enough for it to be my first piece of work there. I do think that a lot of people look for fanfiction over there rather than here though. So who knows? Maybe I will commit to doing that.
Welcome to the Main Masterlist! Here you’ll find my current bookcases and the characters I’ve written for up to this point. I hope you find something of interest to you!

This post is an in depth description of my blogs rules. These are subject to change.
Content
I don’t write anything NSFW, in this case specifically relating to smut, as that makes me uncomfortable; however, I may still write for sensitive topics or mature fandoms (such as GOT/HOTD). I try and appropriately tag and warn everything I write but please be cautious about what you consume on the internet.
Absolutely No Hate
My page is a safe place for everyone who wants to be here. If I see any kind of hate being spread under my posts I will not hesitate to block and report the account. You are completely free to scroll off my page if you don’t like my content.
Translations
I am super appreciative to anyone who wants to translate my works! However, I have had my works stolen before and just as a rule of thumb don’t like the idea of someone else translating them or posting them elsewhere.
Feel free to send me a message to see if we can work something out so that you can still translate if you’d really like but just know it will require a lot of transparency and ground rules before I feel comfortable even thinking about agreeing.
Fanart
I love fanart! I haven’t written any full fanfictions but if my short works inspire you to draw something of them please feel free to! I would absolutely love to be tagged in them.
Inspiration
If anything I write inspires you to write something similar it’s obviously not required that you tag me but I promise to show some love on the post if you do so!
AI
AI is not at all permitted or used on this page. Please support human artists and authors over generative intelligence.
Here’s a, hopefully easy to follow, breakdown of my request guidelines and what happens when you send in a request.
Requests are always open on my page!
That being said, I have the right to not complete or interact with any request I’m given.
Here are some basic guidelines for my requests:
A request is most likely to be fulfilled if it’s a fandom and character I’ve already written for
Second most likely is if it’s a fandom I’ve done but not a character
Least likely is if I’ve never written for that fandom or character (obviously)
My page is not for NSFW, writing that makes me uncomfortable so I will not fulfill any requests about it
I will do fluff, angst, and everything in between but please be cautious of any serious topics and try to warn about them before delving into your request. If it isn’t super harmful I will likely still be willing to write it
I don’t like writing for real people so try to keep it to characters, even if you prefer the actor or whatever
Please be kind in your requests, if you act rudely I will likely disregard anything you send in
Be patient! I don’t come online often so I will likely see your request later on and will probably take a good while to write it if I decide to
Anonymous requests are allowed, and if you plan to become a regular you can ask to have an anon tag. I will try to make a taglist for them depending on how many I receive
I will not write:
Incest/step-cest
Romantic requests for children or children based characters
NSFW including smut or any very sensitive/dark content
Just the basics like racism, homophobia, transphobia, etc. Keep it friendly.
What I will write:
One shots, Drabbles, Blurbs, Headcannons (anything but a series basically)
Continuations of my previous posts (as long as I can see a way to expand on it)
Fluff, angst, and everything in between as long as it’s not NSFW
Gender Neutral requests are preferred
Fandoms I’m a part of:
Spider-Verse
The Arcana: A Mystic Romance

A/N: Happy Holidays everyone! I hope you enjoy this holiday special of our favorite daycare attendants. Have a great rest of your holiday season!
Dividers used within in this post are made by @saradika-graphics
Ever since you had first joined the Fazbear Entertainment team you’d been made very aware of the holiday policy. In this industry they would be open every day of the year, regardless of meaningfulness nationwide. You didn’t mind, you’d taken this job to get away from everyone, in fact the only “people” you’d actually want to spend this time with were already at the Pizza Plex.
You’d come to expect your days to be full of children running around and creating chaos. As daycare staff you spent a lot of time cleaning messes, playing games, and getting close to a specific animatronic duo.
Because of their difficult policies Fazbear Entertainment rarely had new hires, meaning you were the first human worker to help in the daycare. Luckily it wasn’t long after your first meeting, that you and the pair of robotic attendants had become close friends.
You worked well together, understanding each other without much effort. Hence why you never minded the insane hours your job required.
You had noticed that around the holidays the children would become more energetic, it wasn’t always bad but it always led to something. Though today was surprisingly running rather smoothly.
You’d come in early, as you always do, and as usual a cup from the Pizza Plex cafe greeted you at the security desk. Next to it was a small sticky note of scribbled smiley faces and stars, paired with a healthy helping of glitter glue. You smiled at the note before sticking it alongside a long line of many similar drawings that overtook the front edge of the desk. The daycare was spotless, probably from work Moon had put in after your departure home yesterday.
You called out for Sun, once, twice, and before you could start again you were lifted into a tight hug from behind. You heard him giggle as he spun you around before setting you back down. You would never get used to how excited he was whenever you first walked through the door, but you never failed to appreciate it.
Together the two of you set up for the day. Putting together supplies at the craft area, setting out the favorite stuffed animals and toys, and doing a final check of the play place and ball pit for anything the kids potentially lost yesterday. All while making small bits of fun for yourselves, a sticker on Sun's faceplate or a ball thrown at you to catch you off guard.
When the children finally arrived you and Sun had long finished with your antics and instead fell into your natural rhythm of work. You started by checking in the children and holding conversations with the parents whilst Sun greeted everyone and got them situated in the daycare. Eventually the allotted morning check in time came to a close and you pushed the attendance files behind the desk to be organized digitally later on, for now you would help Sun keep an eye on things.
Oftentimes the daycare tries to let the children play however they wish. Which makes it hard for just two staff members to be constantly watching everyone, especially when one is usually helping to play and create chaos rather than monitor it. Luckily despite this rather unfortunate set up nothing terrible usually came about.
Truly the children were harmless besides their impressive amount of energy and ability to make a mess.
But even still they could hatch a scheme together if they really tried.
Today was one of the days where they put in such effort. It had started innocently enough, Emma, a regular at the daycare, had been working on a drawing of mistletoe at the craft station and had been asked what it was by one of her friends. When she described the meaning behind mistletoe (whenever two people stood beneath the mistletoe they would share a kiss) a plan started to form.
The children had always sensed something between you and the other attendants and had seemingly made it their noble mission to do something about it. So whenever the occasion arose for you to become closer, either by chance or force, they had to make it happen.
By lunch word of the plan had effectively spread to all the children in the daycare and was ready to be set in motion.
You had suspected something may be happening behind you and Sun's back when lunch was suspiciously quiet, yet you didn’t have time to worry about it over your task of helping Sun clean the paint he’d gotten on himself. After the stains had been successfully removed you and Sun went your separate ways, cleaning lunch, setting up for naptime, and entertaining the children.
Once you had finished up with your other duties some of the children came up to you and excitedly invited you into a game of freeze tag, you glanced over to Sun who sat in the corner playing house with some younger kids, and agreed. Hopefully an energetic game would wear out the children enough to have a restful nap time.
It had only been a few minutes into the game when you got frozen under the bridge connecting the two areas of the play place. Admittedly you could’ve outpaced the children easily, but you did your best to make it seem as though they were difficult to keep up with in hopes to encourage them to keep playing.
However it had almost felt as if your teammates had forgotten about you. It had been a solid minute of waiting, so much so that you switched positions from what you’d been tagged in to simply standing and waiting. It wasn’t unusual for the children to switch games midway but you could usually tell when they did so. This time there was nothing hinting to them losing interest. So you waited, and waited, until eventually someone came to stand in front of you.
Though it wasn’t any of your team mates, instead before you stood one of your favorite solar shaped animatronics who seemed to be waiting on you for something.
“Sun?” You questioned, looking up at him, “Are you alright?”
“Me? Well of course sunshine!” He responded cheerfully, “But the children said you needed me for something?”
Your face scrunched in confusion, there wasn’t any reason you could recall needing Sun. You glanced over to where he had been, there sat abandoned baby dolls, mid-swaddle, which you can only assume were nervously left behind to come find you. You also noticed the lack of kids playing, and instead found that some had circled up around the two of you.
“Alright everyone, what's going on?” You asked, your tone firm but playful.
The round of giggles that came from the group didn’t make you feel much better. Whatever was happening was planned, that much was for sure, especially as more and more kids came to see it unfold.
“You two really need to look up more.” A voice comes from above you.
Tilting your head upwards you met the eyes of Noah, one of your teammates from your previous game of freeze tag, laughing down at you and your coworker alongside Emma and some other kids from the game. Your eyes caught the glint of a ribbon you had set out at the craft station. And following it downwards you saw what you can only assume was a drawing of mistletoe.
You come to that conclusion mostly based on circumstance. The drawing itself is rough, smears of green and blobs of red, but if you squint and tilt your head you can just barely make out the look of a classical mistletoe plant.
You let out a soft chuckle, “Mistletoe?” You ask no one in particular, looking around as the children smile up at you, “And I assume you all know what that means?”
Another round of laughs meets you and you realize suddenly how you should’ve seen this coming. You’d talked to Emma’s parents this morning about their recent Christmas movie marathons. Surely something would’ve stuck with her, and of course it had to be something of this nature, something that could cause a mischievous plot amongst the daycare.
You look back to Sun with a soft smile, silently begging for help. But you’re met with confusion. It makes sense, you suppose, that his programming wouldn’t randomly include the knowledge of mistletoe.
“You all really have to stop doing things like this.” You scold the kids, trying to buy yourself some time.
There’s a moment of silence over the group as they let your disapproval sink in. “We will,” Mya, an older girl, speaks up, “But first you have to kiss!”
You sigh as an uproar of agreement comes from the other kids, you almost can’t bring yourself to turn back to Sun. Surely he’s caught off guard by such a statement, especially with no prior knowledge to the tradition of mistletoe.
But even still you can’t help but glance back at him, if his face could be more expressive you're sure he’d seem more nervous but what gives it away right now is his constant wringing of his hands. The movement makes the bells on his wrist jingle softly.
You sigh again, not out of frustration but of acceptance.
Slowly you look back up at Sun, his gaze already on you, and move forward to take his hands in your own. His fingers still from their prior anxious movements and come to relax against yours. You use this grip on him to pull him down to your level, he complies, and leans down until his faceplate is just barely above you.
You look at him for just a second more before coming up on the balls of your feet and placing a soft kiss to his cheek. You hold it for one beat, two, and pull away.
An eruption of cheers and giggles reaches you from every direction and you can’t help but smile with them. You look around at the group, letting them settle before you speak again.
“You’ve had your fun,” you say, “now you have to get ready for nap time.” Some groan, others head off, and a good few continue to laugh, but regardless they all eventually listen.
You turn back to Sun, whose rays have started to spin gently. You chuckle at him, “Sunny?” You call out, watching him perk up as he realizes you’re addressing him instead of the children. “Everything okay?”
“Oh ab-absolutely sunshine!” He says, stumbling over his words. You giggle again, you had no idea the animatronics could get flustered.
“Alright.” You smile, “Well I have to go get set up for nap time. I’ll start the timer on the lights, so you still have a minute or two before it’s Moon's turn.”
He nods softly and you look down to your hands which you hadn’t realized were still intertwined, and now that you had to let go it almost felt wrong to.
You take a minute, running your fingers over his before finally pulling yourself away.
You walk behind the security desk and set the lights to turn off in fifteen minutes. That should give Sun, and hopefully yourself, enough recovery time.
You then head to the designated nap area, most of the children are already in their spots with their blankets, some come and cuddle into you as you sit down. As the last of them finally come in you start a short story to get them settled, and just as you finish the last page the familiar sound of the daycare lights turning off fills the stilled air.
In the nap area small stars cover the walls up to the ceiling and white noise fills the formerly silent space.
It isn’t long before recognizable LED eyes approach the space, as your own eyes adjust to the new dim light you’re able to make out Moon's silhouette as it fills the space next to you. You look down to the child in your lap, brushing their hair from their face.
You look back to Moon as he starts his usual lullabies, the dim lighting makes his form look soft against the stars. He’s still, scanning the room to watch as the children slowly but surely fall asleep. You feel your own eyes get heavy and if you didn’t have work to do you would give in. It wouldn’t be the first time.
Instead you fight the urge to fall asleep by readjusting. You move closer to Moon, pressed against his side carefully, and you swear for a minute he hesitates to continue his former melody. You give a moment for the kid in your lap to get comfortable, letting them settle their head back down on one of your legs.
As they finally rest you let your hand come back to brush their hair, letting your head fall against Moon's arm as you get comfortable. There’s a moment in the dark, as Moon sings his lullaby and you relax against him, that everything feels perfect. Pressed against him you feel as Moon's arm moves, just slightly, to let his hand rest against your knee. It’s warm there as his fingers trace the skin. You recall a moment faintly where he’d told you his hands could heat slightly to soothe any children struggling to rest. You smile, charmed by the small act of care he’s taken for you.
You sit together, and wish silently that the lullaby could carry on forever and you’d never have to let go of this moment of contentment. But it does, and as it comes to a close you realize that the child you’d been soothing is finally asleep. You move carefully and place them on their specific napping spot before quietly leaving the nap time area.
Usually you and Moon would work together silently. Firstly focusing on getting your work done before coming back together and enjoying whatever time was leftover before the children woke up.
Currently your work consisted of digitally inputting all of the attendance records for the day. It wasn’t an awful process, just tedious, and you only enjoyed sitting at the security desk for so long.
Shortly after you started with your files Moon's faraway song came to a stop, all of the children were finally asleep. It didn’t take long for the silence, which had only been broken up by your typing, to be interrupted by the sound of Moon attaching to his aerial cable.
You didn’t put much question into the action. Moon tended to get a bird’s eye view of the day care after the children were asleep, just to double check for any messes.
So it continued as usual, the comforting almost silence, work being done, waiting for the children.
It was only as you finished with your work did anything out of the ordinary happen. Finally completing the last file you let a sigh escape you as you drop your head against the desk. It felt nice to close your eyes for a moment, even in such an uncomfortable position.
In the quiet you were able to estimate whereabouts Moon may be above the daycare, yet it was still, that was new. You were confused for a moment before you heard a gentle jingle from his bells just above the desk.
You leaned back in your seat, just barely looking upwards before you made eye contact with Moon, who hung upside down in front of the security desk. You smiled at him, assuming he’d been waiting for you to finish. You move to get up and greet him but are instead caught off guard by another jingle from his bells.
You look back at him, searching for his wrists which hold the ribbon tied bells you’ve become so familiar with. One is at his side, the other is extended above you, and in his hand, placed perfectly between you both, is the badly drawn mistletoe from earlier.
You laugh for a second, before reaching up and carefully taking the artwork into your own hands. You would assume that Moon should have no knowledge of mistletoe and its meaning, just as Sun did, and yet the two always seem to know what’s happened when they aren’t present. You aren’t completely sure how it works but based off of his actions you know what Moon is expecting.
“Jealous?” You question, teasing him a bit, “You know, I’ve come to expect the kids to be up to no good, but for you to get down to their level?” You sarcastically scold him for a moment, fiddling with the mistletoe in your hands. You contemplate before reaching out and brushing the paper leaves in front of his face, “What do you have to say for yourself?”
You smile for a moment, watching for the small movements that indicate his exhaustion of your playing around. Suddenly his hand comes forward and wraps gently around yours, pulling the drawing away from his line of sight so he can solely look at you. Anything you’d wanted to say dies against your tongue. You glance over to your hands, his is gentle against yours. The action isn’t to intimate you, to scare you into stopping your questions or messing around, rather it’s playful. In his own subtle way Moon is matching your energy over this situation.
After a moment he finally speaks up, “It’s only fair.” That’s true, you suppose. “Besides, you wouldn’t break your promise. Would you?”
The promise, you remind yourself, you’d promised Sun and Moon that you would treat them fairly. Not equally, they deserved to be seen as different, but fairly. You would never show favoritism for one over the other, never do anything that could be seen that way. So Moon was right.
But even still you gasped at him, turning your face away in mock offense. “You know, it’s really annoying when you’re always right.” You say, sparing him a side eyed glance.
He chuckles, you’ve always enjoyed his laugh. It used to be a rare thing but over time, as you both have grown closer, you’ve noticed that he laughs more. Sometimes at you, other times with, and mostly in a place where he has nothing to say. You let the air still once more as you turn back to him, he’s prominent against the darkness in the daycare. Lit mostly by the light of the security desk monitor and some stars that linger on the walls, matching the ones from the nap time area.
It’s the peacefulness of the silence, the comfortability of being with him, that makes you fail to hesitate as you reach out with your free hand. Still hanging in front of you, Moon lets you trace the curve of his faceplate, using gentle guidance to bring you and him closer. You lean in further, placing a tender kiss to his face.
The kiss holds for a moment, your hands move, dropping the mistletoe against the desk and instead intertwining with each other. And despite it being his idea Moon pulls back first, his fans subtly kicking on so he doesn’t overheat. The bells attached to him jingle once more as he moves back.
You look at your intertwined hands, moving them closer to place one last kiss against the back of his. “Nervous?” You tease. He doesn’t pull away from you but his fans kick up another level, you laugh at his reaction and almost continue to pester him before you hear some movement in the nap area.
From your spot you can see some of the kids moving around in their sleep, struggling to get comfortable. It’s only then that Moon pulls away, quietly, with a lingering touch against your skin. You watch him move over to help re-situate the children and smile.
Surely sharing a kiss with your animatronic coworkers is against the strict Fazbear Entertainment policies, but then again, strange shenanigans seem to happen around the holidays. Though secretly you hoped these kinds of schemes wouldn’t only happen seasonally.
Synopsis: Headcanons involving the Saja Boys falling for you and what kind of fame you possess
A/N: Shoutout to @byfyg for requesting this on my Huntrix x Famous!Reader post. I also enjoyed writing this, it got me out of a weird writers block I was in. I also feel like my bias is pretty obvious in this since he has more than everyone else but whatever I just got carried away.
Jinu with an Interviewer
★ It had started off simple, the Saja Boys were the new and quickly rising K-Pop Idols
★ You ran a popular talk show which showcased several celebrities, asking questions they were rarely asked whilst mixing in different challenges
★ They needed more coverage and you needed a new star for your show, so a deal was made
★ When Jinu appeared as a guest your numbers skyrocketed
★ Not only that but the conversation came easily
★ You were used to banter, laughs, sarcasm, but Jinu was different
★ He didn’t simply match your energy, he amplified it
★ He was a smooth talker, with the right amount of humor, and answers that made him and his group seem perfect
★ And honestly it bothered you, nobody was perfect, not even a boy band that had appeared out of the blue
★ Which is why he was the first guest to reappear on your show
★ The fans didn’t just love seeing him, they loved you both together
★ The back and forth, the rivalry during challenges, quick banter, and snide comments
★ The energy was different with you both
★ An energy that made the show run smoother, you had extra questions prepared this time and yet he had a perfect counter for each
★ At one point during the interview he’d said something, some charming line that usually made his fans swoon and you just gave a simple laugh
★ Your laugh, that was all it took for him to get hooked on you
★ The second time around you stayed more connected after the episodes aired via Jinu’s request
★ You messaged one another to laugh at fan reactions and discuss different things that came out online, and it felt easy? Nice?
★ Something about talking to him like this, casually, without thousands of eyes watching, made it feel different, made you feel differently towards him
★ The third time he comes on something has changed between you
★ Conversations are followed by soft smiles or hidden glances, banter is more playful, comments are more personal
★ There’s a new tension between you two, something you don’t need the fans to point out for you to notice
★ You catch him backstage, just as he’s about to go, and let it all fall apart
★ He doesn’t come on much after that
★ But the way you smile when he’s mentioned, or how he shrugs out a “Maybe.” Whenever he’s asked if he’s dating anyone
★ It says enough
Abby with a Designer
★ Abby has had disagreements with designers before, several times he’s been designed pieces for an occasion that simply don’t fit his character
★ He’s the visual, he’s supposed to be able to show off his figure
★ Most of them would give up, agree to the alterations, or pass him onto someone else
★ But this was different
★ You were some big name designer who had agreed to style some models, the Saja Boys, for a certain photo shoot
★ And you weren’t backing down
★ You’d heard stories about Abby, how he was difficult to work with, which is why you had prepared a look that perfectly suited his unusual needs
★ So when he argued you fought right back
★ You had bite, he liked that
★ He ended up wearing the costume as it was, a feat that impressed your colleagues
★ When talk started to spread it got back to Jinu, who upon hearing the gossip decided to ask you to design their next round of outfits
★ After all if you could tame Abby’s usual complaints you were more than perfect for the position
★ You saw him more often after that
★ He would regularly invite himself into your studio under the guise of needing new measurements
★ Saying his new workout routine has his muscles growing faster than usual, and he would smile as you huff grabbing your measuring tape, whispering something about his muscles taking away from his brain power
★ It was annoying really, how he’d weaseled his way into your life, his stupid remarks he made just to rile you up, and how he had a kind of charming that made its way under your skin
★ Your feelings for him snuck up on you between unscheduled studio visits
★ Getting to know him through off handed comments, him stopping by just to drop off lunch for you, his remarks becoming more endearing than upsetting
★ When the end of your contract rolled around you accepted that you’d have to give it up, the problem was Abby had not
★ And what started from an argument sprouted into something else
★ Something that made you give him an extra key to your studio in case you were busy, something that had you start going out with him for lunch, something that had you completely entrapped by him before you had even realized it
★ Not that you were complaining, not anymore
Romance with an Author
★ Romance didn’t meet you face to face, not at first
★ He was at a fan meet when he first learned about you, one of his fans had gifted him a novel of yours saying that he reminded them of one of the main characters
★ It was off handed, it shouldn’t have stuck with him, yet it did
★ After the event his mind kept wandering back to the book and absentmindedly he began to read it
★ The story is good, incredibly so, with a subplot of romantic tension Romance had become so well accustomed to
★ Eventually he comes to the last page, a brief autobiography of yourself with a headshot posted in the corner
★ You’re pretty, he notes, pretty like the story you’d created, pretty in a way that can’t help but get stuck in his head
★ He does some digging, finds you’ll be doing a signing soon at some local bookstore and decides it’s his best opportunity to see you
★ It isn’t long after he shows up that he’s spotted causing a wave of fans to surround him
★ Consequently your security has to escort him to the back of the store
★ When you finally meet him, finally come face to face, you aren’t sure what to expect
★ But it isn’t this
★ When Romance starts to talk with you it’s as though is Idol personality falls, he isn’t some big name, no, with you he almost feels like just another fan
★ It intrigues you, pulls you in enough to stupidly write your number beside the signature you’ve placed in his copy of your book
★ It snowballs from there
★ You start meeting in secret, finding a lesser known cafe to tuck yourselves in the corner of
★ You talk, and it feels like a breath of fresh air, and when you start to fall for him it feels like slow motion
★ Loving Romance is careful, freeing
★ It’s living scenes straight out of your books
★ He holds your hand subconsciously, pulls you closer to him just to feel your warmth
★ He says things, in person or through text, that leave you smiling harder than you have in a long while
★ It’s him memorizing your coffee order and proofreading your new chapters
★ And when parts of your stories start to remind people more and more of the famous pop star
★ You begin to realize that you’ve fallen in too deep
★ And yet, you think, you don’t mind one bit
Mystery with a Producer
★ You’d been working backstage on a popular awards show when the Saja Boys first approached you
★ They’d been looking into a producer for a new music video they had in mind
★ You were organized and supportive of everyone you were with, and watching you work they’d decided you were a perfect fit
★ You agreed mostly out of interest, after all it had been a while since you’d worked on something like a music video
★ Working with the boys was fun though most times it was more chaotic than anything
★ In the midst of it all you were left with a lot of work to be done after the hours you spent filming
★ You could be caught in your on set office long after everyone else had gone, several times crew members waited with you to get certain forms filled out
★ Though the actors, the Saja Boys, had never lingered, not until now
★ You sat once again in your office, night slowly creeping up outside as you read a contract for the next filming location
★ You’d hardly gotten any work done today
★ Between Romance flirting with the makeup artists and Abby ripping all his shirts nobody could keep focus
★ You sighed dropping your head into your hands, you weren’t paid enough for this
★ You hadn’t expected the knock on your door, it was featherlight, barely audible
★ You sat up straight, quickly throwing the things on your desk into a partial organization before calling out a welcome
★ When Mystery walked in you felt yourself relax into confusion, you greeted him, watched his head turn to your paper sprawled desk and then allowed him to pull up a chair next to you
★ Mystery had slowly become your favorite of the group, he was quiet, prepared, and never made you question why you took this job
★ “Still working?” He murmured beside you
★ You nodded, silently signing off on a request from the sound crew
★ He didn’t speak up again but you could feel his stare on you, concerned as you leaned back skimming over another report
★ The silence didn’t break as you nodded off, head dropping onto his shoulder, instead he picked you up moving you over to a nearby couch so you could sleep peacefully
★ Then he sat at your desk grabbing a file of work that you needed one of the Saja Boys to sign off on, he read each paper fully, signing each before placing them somewhere to be sent off
★ He turned back, watching your breathing steady as you fell into a deeper sleep and allowed the small grin that found its way to his face
★ After that day things changed between you
★ Suddenly the boys stayed on track, your work load lightened, and you found yourself spending more time with Mystery
★ When production for the music video inevitably came to an end whatever had formed between you and Mystery didn’t
★ You found yourself attending his shows, coming over for no reason besides seeing him
★ He found himself reviewing clips of your next productions, organizing your signed papers, and preparing a space in his room for you
★ At the end of a long day behind cameras and working with everyone on set Mystery is the quiet you need
★ He doesn’t rush, doesn’t question, he just exudes a certain calm that you cling to like a lifeline
★ And honestly? That’s more than fine by him
Baby with a Chef
★ You’d meet Baby through a game show you hosted to promote your restaurant
★ It consisted of you and a guest going head to head trying different dishes you’d made, usually focusing around a certain flavor
★ This time around the dishes were varied levels of spice, and since the fans voted on who you’d bring on as a challenger they immediately picked out Baby Saja, the Idol well known for his spice tolerance
★ He’d agreed to come on, attempting to gain fans for his group, while being warned to be charming by Jinu, no one would keep watching if he was his usual quiet and guarded self
★ You’d laid out the rules, if he won he was granted a free meal at your restaurant, simple enough
★ “What if you win?” He’d asked, his deeper voice pulling you in
★ No one had asked that before, you supposed simply nothing would happen, several times you’d won, and each time nothing had changed
★ You explained that circumstance and he hummed nodding as the first dish you’d created was served to you both
★ The show went well, views hit a new high as you spoke to one another, interviewing the other about random topics
★ It ended in a tie, a first for your program, neither of you tapped out and eventually you simply ran out of food
★ For the sake of honoring his somewhat win you invited Baby for a free meal anyway, and he agreed with a slight smirk painting his face
★ In the next few weeks the interaction was pushed to the back of your mind, you’d become overrun at the restaurant and still needed to plan a new episode
★ One day a waitress pulled you aside in the kitchen, a table had requested to speak to you personally
★ You sighed at first, assuming it was either fans or a complaint, but from the look on your employees face it was something else entirely
★ Sat in a private room was Baby Saja, leaned out across his chair, his lips quirking into a small smile as he saw you
★ The tension in your shoulders relaxed as you met his gaze, he was here to cash in your promise
★ You made his dish personally, a remake of something from the challenge, and expected that to be that
★ You hadn’t expected him to be waiting for you when you clocked out
★ You jumped when you saw him waiting patiently, silently, for you
★ “What are you doing?” You asked, a hand on your chest in a weak attempt to slow your racing heart
★ “We tied.” He shrugged, “I got my reward, now it’s my turn to treat you.”
★ You let out a confused sigh as he watched you expectantly
★ “Let me take you to dinner.” He continued, “It’s only fair.”
★ He was being charming, he thought, exactly like Jinu said, though part of him knew it wasn’t about appearances anymore
★ You gave him a soft laugh, looking away for a moment only to turn back to his stare
★ Eventually you gave in giving him a date and a time to pick you up
★ This time around your time together didn’t feel like marketing
★ He took you somewhere on the outskirts of town, somewhere you wouldn’t be overwhelmed by fans
★ You ate at what he claimed was one of his favorite spots, talking about anything that came to mind
★ At some point you even managed a laugh out of him
★ By the end of the night you couldn’t help the smile on your face
★ He walked you home, the chill of night pressing through your clothes and rising goosebumps on your skin, you bumped into one another occasionally, your voices were soft, flowing with the breeze that passed by you as conversations became more personal
★ It never felt performative, never forced, it was easy
★ Hushed conversations, quick smiles, and something clicking into place between you two
★ Something neither of you could quite name
★ He was seen frequenting your restaurants after that, smiling, real and genuine, whenever you came to serve him
★ A quick photo was caught of you in his sweater after hours as you stood waiting for him to pick you up
★ Neither of you said anything, but it was known, and maybe that’s how it was always supposed to be
Snotlout x Reader (Could be seen as LA or Animated)
Synopsis: Every year the Bleeding Sun rises over Berk. Every year you wake early to watch it, yet this year it’s accompanied by a new understanding of your feelings towards a certain Viking.
Word Count: 1.1K+
A/N: I’m so glad people are finally understanding my obsession over Snotlout. I’ve loved this man for so long but he’s always been put to the side. Anyway I hope you guys enjoy this.
The Bleeding Sun, a grotesque and clearly Viking named natural phenomenon. Its origins lost to the unwritten history pages but its beauty remains. In the week of season change from Summer to Fall, one day, for an hour or two the sun would be a brilliant red as it rose. And as its rays were half covered below the horizon you would be free to watch its beauty as the rest of the sky became nothing less than a stunning mix of pastels behind it.
Some tribes believed it was a blessing from the Gods for the coming season harvest, others simply called it a greeting from the sister Sól, goddess of the sun and responsible for its rising. Whatever it was, whatever its true meaning, it held its very own significance for you and seeing it was an event you never wished to miss.
Hence why you stood awake in the early hours just before dawn broke, preparing for an early morning flight on one of the landing pads around Berk. The sun had just barely peaked over the ripples of the sea’s horizon. Already a gleaming ruby red that painted the sea, you fed one final trout to your dragon and scratched them gently as you prepared to take off.
“Ready for another Bleeding Sun?” You asked, a gentle purr coming in response as you mounted your saddle. Easily balancing your weight on top of your dragon. You gave a quick cue for takeoff, a soft whisper and hand motion, leading you to begin to fly amongst the clouds.
They were by far your favorite part of the holiday, almost as if they were painted by the Gods themselves, the sun's deep, unusual coloring reflected strong oranges and pinks upon their surface that deepened into dark shadows. They were simply gorgeous, even more so when seen on the back of a dragon. A view you still hadn’t gotten used to, and in a way you wished you never would. As you observed them, taking mental notes over each of their hues to hold in your mind until next year's reddened sunrise, another figure rose up through their airy formation.
“Snotlout.” You greeted simply, a smile coming to your face at his sleep ruffled hair and his helmet haphazardly thrown on. Clearly he had woken himself up just for this, which, while he may complain about later, you knew all too well the event of the Bleeding Sun held just as much meaning to him as it did for you. He too would never wish to miss the holiday, especially when sharing it with you.
“Hey Babe,” he gave in return, a small, sleepy grin spreading to his face, “You really took off without me?” He continued a feigned hurt on his face and in his voice.
“I thought you had forgotten.” You responded, adding a teasing shrug as you turned to watch the sun's slow rise into the sky. Hearing him scoff at your remark in a false surprise, relaxing into a more playful version of his usual self.
“I could never! Watching the Bleeding Sun with you is my favorite part of the year after all.” He gave, making you turn to face him with your growing smile.
“You say that about every holiday.”
“And every time it’s true.” He argues, a bigger smile, matching your own, coming to his face as he observes you, your eyes slowly brightening the more your body adjusted to being awake and the way your hair was equally as ruffled as his own, only yours came from the soft morning winds instead of a prolonged night's rest.
No one truly knew what to call what was going on between you and Snotlout, not even the two of you. If you had dated it wouldn’t surprise anyone, you had been very close friends since you were young. Yourself being the only one that didn’t mind his regular outbursts or disruptive antics. It wasn’t as though he didn’t flirt with you, in fact the older you both grew the more focused his advances became on only you, though that may only be because you didn’t mind it as much as Astrid.
Either way, the situation had never been brought up, not that it bothered either of you.
“Here it comes.” Snotlout pointed out, breaking your attention from how brilliant the clouds looked, and how brilliant he looked against them.
Your attention snapped to the rising sun, as always it shone radiantly. Rays of stunning red reflecting off the water and dulling the sunrise behind it. Making the colors of the sky seem as though faded, worn away by time. Light blues, yellows, and pinks blending together in perfect harmony. A frame to the scarlet of the sun, now ever so slowly dulling from its bold coloring the higher it became.
You turned to Snotlout quietly, watching all of the beautiful colors dance in his eyes and the wind bite his pinking cheeks, ruffling his hair more as it passed you both. And suddenly, as though blown in with the breeze, it struck you, there may be no clear answer as to what this relationship is or what it may become, but for now you would call it fate.
And as you registered this realization, you paused as though struck, and finally you turned back to the sunrise, just as fate worked its ironic magic Snotlout turned to watch you. Completely missing the wonder struck look you had blessed upon him moments ago. Though the one that he held for you was perhaps tenfold of it.
He watched the way the red of the sun dulled to orange against your features, your silhouette shaped perfectly against the clouds you loved so much. And perhaps now he understood why.
You looked absolutely divine, the light framing your smile perfectly. As if you were from Valhalla yourself or as though you had been molded by the perfectionist eye of the Gods just to coexist in this moment, if you had told him so he wouldn’t for a second have doubted it.
And as he watches you smile he was at a loss for words, at a loss for logic even. He knew people were not considered bright, were not considered by any lengths something like this. But as you smiled you became the brightest sun he had ever seen.
It occurred to him that perhaps the Bleeding Sun was not the only beauty graced by the Gods, perhaps instead there was another wonder he was completely oblivious to until now. A wonder that had been graced upon him for years, but only now, in his maturity did he realize its true importance.
Perhaps still fate would make you both run these circles of realization until it had its fun. Until then, whenever you both may admit to these secret admirations, you would both perhaps have to enjoy these secret glances. Perhaps until that fateful day these glances would be enough.
Synopsis: Headcanons involving the Huntrix girls falling for you and what kind of fame you possess
A/N: I had a lot of fun writing this! I’m still working on general dating Headcanons for these three but I might end up doing more with this concept because I really ended up enjoying it.
Rumi with another Idol
★ You and Rumi had met on several instances though most were because of award shows
★ Often times you and Huntrix would perform at the same venues it was only reasonable that after some time you’d get to know one another
★ You became friends quickly, bonding over shared experiences and tribulations
★ At some point you become a feature on one of Huntrix’s new songs
★ A collaboration that the fans end up absolutely loving which only leads to more moments together
★ Joining them at interviews and shows as the song runs its course of popularity
★ You and Rumi naturally became closer over time, meeting up for things unrelated to your careers until eventually you both started to fall for each other
★ For a while you both tiptoed around the feelings
★ You knew how your fans were, how they’d react knowing two of the most popular idols were together
★ But one night you corner Rumi after one of her shows and everything comes crumbling down
★ After that you start dating in secret
★ It becomes a careful song and dance; avoiding topics that may lead to exposure of your relationships but still risking it to see one another perform
★ You help one another when it comes to singing, finding the right transitions for sets, making sure the notes get hit right and the lyrics are clear
★ And after you’re done being idols for the day you relax into one another allowing it to become simply you and her, nothing more or less
★ Rumi only falls for you harder when she sees that side of you, the comfortable side you keep away from everyone else
★ After a while the fans get suspicious
★ Rumors and theories spread like wildfire over both of your fanbases
★ Catching onto the quick looks you give one another or how you’re always attending each other’s shows
★ You let them have their fun
★ Watching as people make countless posts about the evidence they can find and what they think is happening behind the scenes
★ And when it’s gone on long enough you make it official
★ Which causes social media to absolutely blow up with responses some saying they called it, others believing it to be a trick, a few completely against it
★ Yet neither of you cared
★ You didn’t need people online to tell you who to care about or date, you had one another and honestly the truth was better than any speculation online
Mira with a Model
★ Mira learns about you through Bobby, who’d been trying to find some bigger names to promote the new Huntrix merchandise
★ He reached out to your agency leading to a deal where you and some other top models would do a shoot for them if in turn they got to meet the members of Huntrix
★ And that was that
★ She’d spotted you as soon as they entered the venue
★ You carried yourself differently
★ Some of the models were nervous, others in over their head, or bored out of their minds
★ But not you
★ You had a smile on your face as a new intern directed you, showing you around and what you’d be modeling
★ You didn’t question the photographer even with the strangest of requests
★ And you helped Bobby when no one else listened
★ You were just, different
★ Even when meeting them you didn’t freak out
★ Didn’t scramble for an autograph or a photo
★ You waited patiently for your colleagues chaos to end
★ Introduced yourself with a smile and thanked them for the opportunity
★ That moment made a place in Mira’s mind, one she thought back to even weeks after the interaction
★ Up until she messages you herself, reaching out to just talk to you
★ And even online you were kind, patient, and polite
★ And Mira didn’t know what to do with the fact that she started falling for it, falling for you
★ She invited you to one of their shows, a backstage ticket, per Zoey and Rumi’s advice
★ She couldn’t help the warmth that overtook her when she saw you
★ You lit up when you came face to face
★ Smiling and congratulating her on a show well done
★ And something about it all changed for Mira; she asks you out soon afterwards wanting, needing, to see you again
★ It doesn’t take long before you start dating
★ No one knew besides a select few
★ Many suspected, especially after Mira made an appearance for your agency, but Mira had made a name of standing up for herself and not tolerating rumors so no one questioned it
★ And behind it all, back stage or behind the camera there was just you two
★ And that’s all you needed
Zoey with an Actor
★ You and Zoey knew of one another long before meeting
★ You were a star in one of her favorite K-dramas and you obviously loved Huntrix’s songs
★ The two of you finally get the chance to meet one another when the director of your show begs Huntrix to write a song for the upcoming season
★ They agree, mostly because Zoey would’ve probably lost it if they didn’t, and are invited to the premiere because of it
★ Your first interaction comes up because of a photo
★ Several reporters wanted a picture of you and your co-star with Huntrix
★ Which led to you all posing together and eventually talking after the press has had their fun
★ You and Zoey hit it off almost instantly, the two of you silently freaking out over meeting the other
★ You end up sitting together, talking after the screening and through most of the night, laughing together as though you hadn’t just met
★ And when your managers finally drag you away from one another you still keep in touch
★ Messaging online and meeting at more events over time
★ Neither of you is shocked when you start to fall for the other
★ The admiration existed long before you met
★ Though something more had found its way through
★ Maybe it was always responding to one another, no matter how late, or the smiles across the room at events
★ Whatever it was it wasn’t a surprise
★ The real shock came from the admission
★ Realizing you’d both been running circles around one another to not ruin anything when in truth it was exactly what you’d both been needing
★ It isn’t long afterwards that everyone knows
★ You never say anything but you openly post each other and willingly mention one another in interviews
★ Not to mention you frequenting all of Huntrix’s performances and her sudden guest appearances in your shows
★ Though whether or not the fans know has never concerned you
★ In fact most of your concerns recently are of Huntrix’s latest song releases and the date you’re planning with Zoey to go see your new movie
