Paramisia is paraphilic disorders only being valid if there is a sympathetic cause; being a victim of csa, having DID, etc.

This is paramisia.

If your support of people with certain forms of neurodivergence is limited by "if you had trauma", then you don't actually support neurodivergence.

I see this a lot for cluster B personality disorders, behavioral disorders, mood disorders, addictive disorders, and plurality too.

If you can't support a condition being genetic or developing from unknown or unconventional causes, then you don't actually care about neurodivergent people. You only care about them when you can rationalize it.

idk if this counts but as a trans man I'm terrified to let my anger out bc once I do, I'm scared that I'll be seen as a stereotypical man who can't control his anger

maybe one day I can let out my anger (in a healthy way ofc) and not bottle it up all the time :/

This is the result of toxic masculinity, transandrophobia, and androableism.

Men are allowed to have emotions, including anger. That doesn't make men any more violent than other genders.

Also, some people have behavioral disorders that prevent them from being able to fully navigate their anger. This does not make them bad people.

Sometimes my head constantly reminds me to listen when I am being spoken to. I think I'm doing a good job at listening until I realize, I was thinking so much about listening to the person that I never actually processed what they were saying.

Thought crimes are not real.

Yes, some thoughts are the result of neurodivergence. Some thoughts are disordered. But that doesn't make them a crime.

As long as you are not using them to hurt yourself or others, there's no reason you should be punished for your thoughts.

Please stop letting purity culture and pop psychology tell you that you're wrong for having a brain that isn't 100% morally pure.

And for the love God, you're not sexually harassing someone for having sexual thoughts of them. Just keep it to yourself in the privacy of your own mind and it's not an issue. Its only harassment if you force those thoughts onto them.

Take this as a reminder to use words correctly and avoid spreading negative stereotypes about neurodivergence. Especially when speaking about abusers and politicians. Don't conflate abuse or fascism with neurodivergent traits.

The sociopathy & psychopathy design uses the hypoempathy flag colors by @neopronouns. The one with the orange brain is meant to represent a person with low empathy, with the question mark symbolizing how they do not connect to the other person's feelings, and the heart dialogue shows they are still being kind despite not understanding. The one with the blue brain is meant to represent a person with typical or high empathy, with the line connecting their brain to the other person's brain.

The narcissism design uses narcissus flowers (daffodils). Narcissus flowers were named after Narcissus, who in some versions of the myth turned into a flower out of despair of his reflection never being able to give him the affection he desires. The smiling mask represents the confident/affectionate facade, while the person crying represents how they are suffering internally.

The paraphillic disorder design uses the sunset para symbol by @a-hydrangea-named-acti, representing anti-contact & pro-recovery for paraphilic disorders. The upside down heart represents paraphilic attraction itself, and how it goes against the norm of typical attraction.

Just want to clarify something.

We don't think you need any specific type of emotion, feeling, or behavior to be worthy of being respected.

You don't need to feel love, sympathy, or empathy. You don't need to feel pity. You don't need to feel desire for connections, or any form of attraction.

You can make mistakes. You can hurt people sometimes. You can be "overly emotional" or on the flip side, "emotionless." You can be self-focused. You can be completely uninterested in socialization, or only interested in socializing for personal gain.

We just hope that you show kindness to others and own up to any mistakes you might make.

And even if you aren't kind, and you don't own up to mistakes, we wouldn't ever say "you don't deserve to exist."

Please never interpret any of our words as "[insert type of person] doesn't deserve to exist."

We do not think that.
